I have been a patient of Dr. Chio's since he joined Northeast Tarrant Internal Medicine. He is exceptional. He is kind and he listens. He has great diagnostic insight.

DR. CHIO HAS BECOME "CORPORATE" PHYSICIAN WITH VERY LITTLE TIME FOR HIS PATIENTS NOR CARE.

Dr. Chio totally ABANDONED me in a tremendous TIME OF NEED. I was a patient of Dr. Chio's for OVER 15 YEARS and considered him a FRIEND as well as my PCP DOCTOR. I recently moved to FLORIDA and had one of the packers steal one of my prescriptions (which also was a "controlled substance"). I had ONE REFILL left from Dr. Chio and the MAIL ORDER PHARMACY (EXPRESS SCRIPTS) and thought "no big deal, just order up the 90 day refill and all is well". Unfortunately, I found out it was TOO SOON to refill it and needed another THREE WEEKS to fill, unless Dr. Chio would SIMPLY CALL FOR AN OVERRIDE. He not only REFUSED TO DO THAT (PER HIS NURSE), but even REFUSED TO RETURN A SINGLE PHONE CALL (LEFT CLOSE TO DOZEN CALLS FOR HIM) with even an EXPLANATION OF WHY HE WAS REFUSING TO OVERRIDE THE EARLY RELEASE. After going through SERIOUS WITHDRAWALS and THREE STRAIGHT NIGHTS IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM, I got help from a local Dr. who came to my rescue and not only wrote a 21 day Rx but convinced a local Pharmacist to process it. KUDOS to my new Doctor (who literally knew me for LESS THAN 24 HOURS) but took the ball and rammed it through in a SERIOUS TIME OF NEED. SHAME ON DR. CHIO FOR ABANDONING A LONG TIME AND EXTREMELY LOYAL PATIENT WHO WAS OBVIOUSLY IN A SERIOUS TIME OF NEED !!!!

I have been blessed to call Dr. Chio my doctor for the last several years. He is very approachable and his compassion for his patients is clearly evident. He is a great listener. They are great at actually getting you in to see the doctor right at your appointment time!

I love Dr. Chio and have been very happy with him as a primary care physician. However, his office staff leaves MUCH to be desired. Multiple promises for call backs, calling in prescriptions, etc... and radio silence from them. They are terrible at follow ups. As much as I like Dr. Chio, I believe I am going to have to find another primary care physician with an office staff who cares enough to follow through with promises. Dr Chio has been my Internist for almost 10 years. As I approach 70 years old he has helped with diagnoses and treatment of several life threatening health issues. He has always been caring and honest. He also has a great network of specialists that he can refer you to. I whole heartedly recommend him.

I originally found Dr. Chio for my elderly parents, almost a decade ago. We never had to wait long & any referrals they needed, we were able to make an appt fairly quick. We were very happy with all his referrals; he seems to have a good network of Specialists. My parents were very satisfied with him & his care. Dr. Chio is very patient, caring & thorough. I soon started seeing him as my own PCP, too. As we have grown older together (haha), I feel that we have a very good interactive Doctor/Patient relationship in that he asks questions, listens & is thorough, so that I don't have to return multiple times for follow-up. He checks my chart to ensure I'm up to date on all meds, vaccines, etc. If I need anything via phone (referrals, refills, questions), he/his staff are usually responsive & timely.

Dr Chio is absolutely one of the best doctors I have ever had. His staff is really friendly. He is thorough, personable and knowledgeable. He took his time and answered all questions or concerns I had. I have found a GEM ????

I love Dr. Chio. I never have to wait, he always takes his time with me, he'll suggest natural remedies if I want. He's always friendly, courteous, explains things in terms I can understand and listens to me, On top of that, I don't have to go in every time I need a refill. What's not to love?

I initially went to doctor Choi because the reviews that I saw on him were all about how he listens and how patient he is. This was the case for my first few months of visits. I had been suffering from chronic pain and a longterm illness that Dr. Choi was not able to diagnose. This is when his attitude changed. When he realized he couldn't fix the problem. My last 2 visits with him were very awkward. I explained to him that my symptoms were not resolving and he became very cold and clipped. By my last visit, he'd stopped making eye contact with me and was flat out rude when I asked him why I was experiencing a symptom that he clearly could not provide a diagnosis for. He shook his head, did not look at me and snapped "I don't know'. He finally admitted that, but only after I prodded him and it was only to get me to go away. That's the last time I went to him. I think I 'treated' with him for over a year (spent quite a bit of money) and I left there feeling just as bad as I did when I came. And he was mad at ME. I am so sick of doctors and their arrogance. It's like I'd hurt his little ego when I told him I wasn't feeling better and he couldn't tell me why. I thought this guy would be different. He started out taking detailed notes on his laptop, during my visits, and by my last visit, ended with the attitude of a petulant child who'd had their toy taken away from them. If you have a acute issue (that he can fix with a quick prescription), this is your guy. He was very nice at first. If you issue is Chronic, you'd better find a more progressive, open minded doctor who's will to EXPLORE treatment options with you. I've been seeing Dr. Chio for a few years. He is patient and willing to work through options until you find something that works. He is also candid in his feedback about what responsibilities you have as a patient - something I really appreciate.

Dr Chio always takes as much time as needed with me. I never feel like he is rushing to move on to the next patient. I appreciate how he listens to me and also how he never keeps me waiting. He respects his patients' time.

I have been seeing Dr Chio for several years since the passing my doctor and one of the founders of the practice, Dr Galusha in 2007. I honestly did have reservations when I first saw Dr Chio as he was very young. This was dispelled after a couple of visits. I have found Dr. Chio to be a very good listener, patient and has handled any of my health issues that have arisen over the years. He has guided me through the transition to Medicare and suggested I go to the VA to have a hearing problem addressed, which I did. I highly recommend him. Dr Chio is super! He genuinely cares for his patients.

Dr. Chio lacks compassion and mercy! He will give a very short visit and only wants patiences that do not have special health concerns. Before we went the see him, he had evaluate, by the medicines you take, if he would accept us as patients. When we got to go in, as a new patient, everything was more manageable, when our health concerns. As we have aged, he has become more ridged and lacks the compassion to help us. He actually insulted me, on our last visit, hopeing I would not return.

I have been going to Dr. Chio since he started practicing in Euless. He has never disappointed in the care I received. He does not rush the visit and never keeps me waiting. I feel very comfortable talking to him. The only issue I have is the amount of time it takes to speak with someone when making an appointment. NETIMA. Needs to hire more office staff for this since it is always an issue.

Always on time. Explains all aspects of situation, answers questions and does not rush the visit. Friendly. He used to call himself with lab results but now has his nurses do that. I liked the personal interaction. Now once you leave the exam room, everything goes through the nurse. I guess that is just due to the volume of patients he now has. Challenging to make appointments due to extended wait time on the phone. I would recommend him as a very good choice for your primary care physician.
