Nice guy but that didn't heal my foot ....................still after 9 months cannot walk without pain. Moving on.........

Went ahead with his suggestion and I wish I had gotten a second opinion. He was supposed to fix a bunion at the same time as my toe joint , on the same foot, but that didn’t happen. Then the screw in my joint almost came through after I walked on it a while. So….I had to have another surgery! Still have bunion.

It's practically impossible to get a hold of them. Billing team is unresponsive and made numerous mistakes on my account.

He is awesome, this review is for his boot girl with the small tattoo near her thumb. She is too quick, dismissive and appears to be uncaring. Almost like this isn’t in her job description and she is just getting the boot for you. They have one boot, to the knee, like it or leave it and decide quickly because she doesn’t appear to have time for you. After she left the room, I stood up to walk out in it and it hurt my foot so I just left it in the room and walked out. While you’re there it’s a fantastic experience with results. Now the call system and the people that manage that process are horrible, no straight answers and usually ends with the only thing I can do is make a appointment.

Unlike most doctors I have seen. He took the time to review my problem and discuss options of treatment. Very nice, very personable, and very through. Love the guy.

Can't comment on the doctor. I had an appointment schedule for 1:15 pm today. Came to the office a little early as requested and no one was there. Viola tried to "help" me in the hallway on her way out. She was rude and overly aggressive. Started yelling at me while I was on the phone trying to listen to some prompts. She didn't even tell me who she was for a while. When I told her my name she stated without even looking at a schedule or anything that she knew I was lying. She kept stating my appointment was for 11 am. I attempted to walk away from her but she wasn't having it. She came towards me and in a threatening manner started bringing up that she was off work and she took her off time to help me and that I should be more appreciative. While I may not know her usual demeanor what was displayed today was a huge turn off. I let crying and almost called the police. When I called the person that originally scheduled my appointment she said that what happened could not have because Viola was pleasant when they went to lunch. The person (Kathy- I think that scheduled my appt) did not seem to care how Viola had treated me. It seems Dr Desai leans heavily on his accreditation and based on the treatment of the staff cares nothing or very little about his patients. Here's hoping I never "need" his expertise. I have the utmost respect for Dr. Desai's skill sets! Saw him a few years ago for myself and he is of impeccable intergrity and expertise. So when my sibling had a "botched surgery from a doctor out of town-I brought her her in to see this marvelous specialist in feet and ankle. No regrets...we got a plan from this specialist and are moving forward to better health for our family's feet. Dr. Desai is hands down one of the Best in North Texas!!! After moving here a few years back and having to start over with a prior ankle injury Dr. Desai was a blessing helping to fix me up!!! Finding a foot/ankle orthopedic is not an easy feat (as you normally get kicked back to a podiatrist). He did a couple of different repairs that needed to me done at one time, including a very impressive bunion surgery. My toe now has no bump, very little scaring, no pain and pretty much full range of motion, which according to people that I know that have had it done, is not normal after this is done. My PT was even impressed with how far of a bend we recovered after surgery. My survey was a few years back however I recovered my range of motion pushing through the exercises in a few months. More recently I took a tumble and had to track Dr. Desai down (due to a move) but he was right there to assist me through it! He is attentive to your pains and takes the time to listen, evaluate and come up with a game plan and then sees it through! I was very spoiled by my former surgeon in Chicago and nervous no one would live up to his quality of work, but Dr. Desai has and continues to! I love Dr. Desai! He performed surgery on my ankle after diagnosing me with 2 torn tendons and a bone disorder. Surgery went well, recovery has been smooth. He took time with me, answering all of my questions, both pre- and post-op. I highly recommend his services, if needed!

Dr. Desai and his staff were very pleasant to visit with. They showed empathy and concern for my foot problem. Dr. Desai clearly answered my questions. My surgery went well with thorough follow-up care.

We waited over 2 hours for the doctor. When he showed up in the exam room, he basically told me I was complaining too much for a broken toe bone. Those with leg or arm breaks were worthy of complaints. And then I had to listen for 10 minutes to his history of broken bones. He would not make eye contact with me but talked over me to my husband. We were very blessed to have found doctor Desai. My daughter was having extreme pain in her foot for months, her foot started deforming and she couldn't walk well. After seen different doctors, no one was able to understand what was wrong with her foot. So finally we were referred to Children's Hospital and the orthopedics there ordered an MRI that revealed an unusual fracture and injured ligaments that the orthopedics at Children's have never treated. The doctor at Children referred me to doctor Desai who is an expert on treating those types of injuries. My daughter had surgery the following week and she recovered well and she is finally back doing every type of activity without any more pain. Her foot looks beautiful with minor visible scars. I recommend doctor Desai, he saved my daughter's foot. We were very blessed to have found doctor Desai. Fixed my Achilles’ tendon 1 year ago, saw him recently for my year follow up and I am very happy with my result. Happy to give him a great review. Came recommended by my family doctor and physical therapy friend.

I went to see Dr. Desai because of a really bad basketball injury. The quality of service I received from him was excellent. He is extremally detail in his explanations and he showed a true concern in relation to the effect of my injury with my life style. I truly recommend Dr Desai. He is awesome!

Dr. Desai is the best ortho I've had. He gave me my ankle back because of him I can walk without limping. Had surgery back in August of 2019 he put in 4 screws and a plate, completed 5 months of therapy & in January I had the hardware taken out. My ankle is completely healed. The incision literally looks like a scratch. Best decision I've made so far by going to him. I was being seen by Dr Patel in Richardson, Comprehensive Ortho prior to me going to Dr. Desai & because of him I had a non union. Very professional. Explained everything that needed to be done to correct my ankle problems. The surgery and recovery went 1000 times better than I could have ever imagined. Great doctor repaired my broken ankle

We waited two hours for the doctor to show up. We were ushered to the exam room and waited again. When he arrived, he glanced quickly at my xray and told me that a was a complainer. Bigger broken bones were much worse. And then he talked about himself for 15 minutes. All the while, he never made eye contact with me (the patient) but talked to my husband. I would never refer anyone to see this man.

I would want to rate lower but I don’t want it to reflect poorly on dr Desai. I waited for over an hour . There are too many other orthos I could have chosen from that would have more consideration for my time . Luckily dr Desai was very apologetic and embarrassed about the wait and said it was due to an emergency that morning . Then he spent quality time With me and didn’t rush me off . Dr. Desai is a good doctor. I have problem with office manager. I do have pain in my heal. Office staff gave me boot to wear it. I told my physical therapist about bootand he told me not to wear it. Monday morning I called Dr. Desai office. Receptionist told me that office manager will call me. I waited for two days. She did not bother called me. After three days I called her. She told me that they will not take it back. I talked with my insurance company. They told me that since you you have return boot with original packaging , they should take it. I had an Ankle surgery done by Doctor Desai, I now have more pain and discomfort than I did before the surgery. He first said 6 to 8 weeks to recover then changed that to 10 to 12 months, he was wrong on both guesses. By choosing to cut me directly across the ankle he caused scare tissue that rubs daily on the bone. I could not recommend anyone use his services. This office would not let me schedule an appointment without insurance. That’s crazy that they want take monetary payment.

We experienced several issues with the office that I reported to the doctor. The office manager followed up with me promptly and told me, "I'm sorry this happened to you. I will look into it." Invaluable words to any customer. And she did look into it. She was kind enough to follow up with me in person afterwards to let me know what she found out. She confirmed that my reported issues were truthful and valid. Our next visit went better all around. Dr.Desai has been a blessing to my family. Over the years he has taken care of my family and recently done surgery on my son, who returned to collegiate baseball this year! I brought my nephew to see Dr.Desai for a broken foot and he was kind and very down to earth. My nephew has down syndrome and Dr.Desai was very patient and respectful with my son even though he probably had to spend more time than usual with him (I could see he had a very busy office). My son is a collegiate football player and had a Jones fracture about 5 months ago., and Dr.Desai performed surgery to place a screw across the fracture. He was always attentive and wanted to get my son back to sports as soon as possible. At 5 months, he is back to full activity! We are very appreciative of Dr.Desai. We highly recommend him to all our friends and anyone else that will listen!

Dr. Desai, has been a blessing to me. I had a foot surgery that didn't go very well in Alabama. I searched all over the U.S. to find a doctor that could possibly help me to get my foot back to normal. When I first met Dr. Desai I was literally walking on the edge of my left foot. He explained the risks and benefits of surgery. He performed surgery, and did a great job. He was understanding, he has a great bedside manner. HE IS THE BEST ORTHOPEDIC DOCTOR!!!!!

He is a business man not a doctor. I went to him with a broken foot. He didn't even bother to look at my foot, only looked at the Xrays i had from a night before in urgent care and said you have fructures go home, well I already knew i had fructures thats why i was there, he literally spent 30 seconds with me. What kind of doctor doesn't look at you. I could email my Xrays if he didn't want to bother to look at me even for 2 secs just to tell me what i was already told by urgent care doctor. I simply hate doctors who are only concern about how many seconds they spend with a patient just to be able to earn money. I would not recommend this doctor to anybody who is in pain. Dr.Desai was very professional and personable and explained all my treatment options for my foot injury. His entire office was great, I highly recommend him.

Extremely thorough. Explained everything I needed to know and provided peace of mind.

I made an appointment with Dr. Desai last week, confirmed that he accepted my Humana PPO plan, dutifully completed the new patient forms, responded to the text message reminder, and arrived on time this morning only to be told that in the time since I made my appointment he no longer accepts my insurance. A phone call would have been nice. This delays treatment of my painful hardware condition while I search for a new physician and wait for a new appointment. This is no way to treat people.

Took the time to explain the procedure and the rehab process. The entire process was just as he explained. The pain after surgery was minimal. I have to have my other foot done and I can already tell my quality of lfe will go way up!
