Dr. Shannon D Lawson

I cannot say enough great things about dr Lawson and his staff!! He is extremely kind and is very caring, he thoroughly answers all of your questions and makes sure you understand everything he is explaining to you. He makes you feel comfortable the whole time and is very gentle. His hygienist is also very kind and knowledgeable, and the front office ladies are so sweet and welcoming:) I highly recommend them!

Dr. Lawson is wonderful! Listened to all my concerns, was very gentle. When he found a sensitive spot he made a note of it, and tried not to touch there again. He's very knowledgeable and explained things very well to me. His office is definitely the one you go to if you have dentist anxieties! Very helpful.

The initial exam was great until the schedule for deep cleaning was done yesterday. Staffs were nice and courteous. They made sure I was comfortable before they start the service. In the process, I experienced drowning from water few times and Dr. Lawson made sure I was okay before he continued. After he’s done, I noticed my left side of lower lip got a little bit bigger while I was there and I thought this was normal due to anesthesia. I wasn’t feeling any pain because I was numb. But I began to notice my lip closely when I got home. There was 2 blisters on my lower left lip - the inside part of it. I wasn’t sure if it was from laser or anesthesia. I thought they should have addressed it upfront with me while I was there. It is very uncomfortable. I can’t eat well or even speak at work because of this. This was my first time having deep cleaning done and it wasn’t pleasant. I had to cancel my next appointment for my right side of teeth. On top of that, it’s way too expensive and was surprised. Very pleased with the service I received here. Dr Lawson did my fillings and Nikki performed scaling/root planing to address my periodontal issues. Both they and their staff are incredibly friendly, considerate and welcoming. The procedure was near pain free minus the initial numbing injection, and my teeth and gums look better than they have in years. I wish I got this treatment done sooner, and will certainly return for any future dental care needs. Very pleased with the service I received here. The laser was a pretty awesome way to get a cavity fixed. No numbing, no shots no drill noise. I walked out of the dentist office feeling like I had just had my teeth cleaned. Way to use technology to make cavity filling a much better experience.

He has save me after years of me just getting by with what I had .I can eat whole foods ????

I stopped going to Shannon for awhile because there was a corporate dental chain closer to where I live. However, I felt they were always trying to sell me additional services more to generate revenue than to meet my needs. Shannon is a very ethical person, and isn't like that at all. I trust the team that supports his practice as well. I would encourage anyone to give him a try and see if it isn't worth it to drive a little father. Don't be put of by the fact that he looks like a transient grandpa hippie now that he's retired from the reserves. He has a heart of gold. Dr. Lawson is the only dentist I would use while living here in Tooele. He has done alot for my family and corrected the past mistakes made by other doctors on my wifes teeth. I can not give enough praise for this honest doctors work. I recommend Dr. Lawson to all who need to see the Dentist. Two thumbs up !!!!!!!!!!!! I had my wisdom teeth taken out before I temporarily moved to Tooele and was concerned that the stitches that were suppose to “dissolve” on their own, were still in my mouth approximately 1 ½ weeks later. I went in to see if his office would be able to schedule an appointment to remove someone else’s work (stitches). To my surprise they took me right in immediately removed the stitches and noticed that one of the teeth was becoming infected (gross- I know). He wrote me a prescription on the spot and I got it filled that day. I am truly thankful for Dr. Lawson who is extremely friendly and one of the most professional dentists I have EVER visited. I will definitely be back!
