Dr. Shukri George Makhlouf

Dr Makhlouf is the best dr my husband and I have seen in our 57 years. He is thorough, knowledgable and has a great staff. When my husband started experiencing high blood pressure, he did not just treat it, but did many tests to determine the cause. He discovered and diagnosed a rare blood disease. If left untreated my husband would have experienced organ damage. Every oncologist and dr treating my husband has commented on how great Dr M was to even identify this rare disease. It is genetic and my husband's sister was then tested, diagnosed and being treated. He truly saved several lives.

The doctor and staff are efficient, knowledgeable and personable.

Jennifer works in the front office and is always so friendly and caring! She has an answer for everything, is detailed, and professional!!! She makes coming here easy!

Called to book a new patient physical as I am looking for a new primary care physician. The receptionist I spoke to was extremely rude and unprofessional. She couldnt hear me a few times and just kept saying "huh" and "what". I booked the appt because I was in hope the doctors were better but ultimately called back and cancelled it because it bothered me that much. Also Dr. Makhlouf who I wouldve liked to book with due to so many great reviews is not accepting new patients though there were 5+ open appointments online for the next day. I had my first visit today. The doctor and the team are very professional. Dr. Makhlouf is very caring and knowledgable. He listens carefully to patients and understands their needs. I highly recommend the doctor and staff.

I really didn't care for the billing practices of getting me and my family for several unneeded repeat visits. Also tests that are not needed. They seem to be after only one thing and thats your and your insurance money. Been going here for 3 plus years (as well as my wife) and have sent many referrals. GREAT doctor but horrible operations. I would not resort to this review but waiting 3 (business) days for a call back on a particular detail the imaging center needs to know before performing a crucial scan? And I had to call back EACH day to follow up as to why nobody returned my call each of those days??? If you set expectations, then deliver. If I'm told I need a scan that could be vital to my conditions but cannot get timely information that your referrals require, then I'll leave my life in another's hands. I have never had to wait long. Everyone is friendly. The doctor is concerned and pays attention. I am super picky and I think they are top notch. I would highly recommend.

Sugarloaf is efficient but still very knowledgeable and thats whats most important to me. I rather have a doctor who lacks people skills but knows their stuff (DR. Excellent office, on time, great and friendly staff, Dr. Colbert was more than awesome, very personal, listened to me, asked great questions. I was 110% pleased with the whole experience. Dr. Makhlouf is the best! My family has moved away from Suwanee and still drive to see him because he is precise, knowledgeable, concerned about you as a patient, and has a wonderful bedside manner. His office staff are all so friendly and welcoming and know me by name. I always feel at home here, highly recommend!

I had previously given Dr Makhlouf a high rating after my initial visit because he was nice to talk to and took his time. Well that visit cost me $200 out of my pocket. He insists on me getting checked every 6 months instead of giving me a year's Rx. Plus they won't just do labs so I've to see the Dr even though I've no symptoms or changes in my condition. This time I got to see the Nurse practitioner and lab cost me $100 apart from what the insurance paid. Talking to Jennifer in the billing dept was futile as she blamed it on my insurance even though with my other Drs prior to this I've never paid more than my copay. Looks like I'm paying for their brand new office expansions and payroll of people like Jennifer who only repeat the script given to them. Not going back to them ever! Changed my rating from 1 to 5 stars as Dr Makhlouf went above and beyond to fix what was done. He explained all the charges with my insurance, took care of the bills and even did face to face to clear up the issues. Normally after giving a bad rating, I've never had to change it for anyone nor would I ever return to their establishment. But after what he did for me, I had to change my rating and go back to him in good confidence. Thanks doc! ???? Doctors and staff are wonderfully attentive and patient. When I call after hours, the phone is answered by Dr. Makhlouf himself. Dr. Holly listens well and takes care of me. Beautiful facility and it’s growing so they can serve more of community. All the staff are really great and Tabitha is cheerful, highly competent and so welcoming. I love these folks! When we moved to GA, I had a hard time finding a doctor. Finally, I found this place. I haven't been more pleased. Dr. Makhlouf is the BEST! He has the BEST bed side manners; as he goes beyond basic tests during exams and last week I received a phone call from him to check on me. Who does that? My Dr.! His staff is great; they are always cheerful and professional. They know all their patients. Moreover, the rooms are always clean and comfortable. I have had many bad experiences at Dr offices to the point I hate going to the Dr. I have been going to Sugarloaf medical for about 3 years now and have always had a good experience. I never have to wait unreasonably past my appointment time, he and all the staff are consistently friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Dr Makhlouf is available and goes way above other Doctors if a need arises. The whole staff respects your time and you as a person. They really care about their patients. Staff great, Dr Makhlouf not interested in health only his bank account. Insisted on me coming in every 3 months for a follow up and a redip into my money and the insurance company. My annual psychical cost me $350.00 plus my insurance company portion. I wanted my blood pressure meds refilled. ( I have been on the same meds for over 12 years). I smell a Money Grubber! I've been going to Dr. Makhlouf for years now and am so thankful and grateful for his guidance. In addition to his expertise, he is so kind, thoughtful, has a great bedside manner and truly takes his time unlike other doctors I've seen in the past. He cares about you as a whole and not just diagnosing what you’re in for that day. An added bonus is that he has great doctors like him to whom he can refer you to. I underwent a major sinus surgery with one of the best ENTs (Dr. Gadlage) all thanks to Dr. Makhlouf's insistence that I make an appointment with him. Dr. Makhlouf ROCKS! I have been a patient of Dr. Makhlouf for almost 10 years. I’ve never experienced more personalized service from a more personable physician. I suffer from a chronic disease so when I flare, I can always count on Dr. Makhlouf to either help me get it under control, or to gently nudge me to the ER ;) I initially chose him as my PCP due to his proximity to my home and work, but I stayed because he and his team genuinely care about me and my well-being.
