Dr Damle is an amazing oncologist. Cancer is a very long and scary journey. Dr.Damle and her team have gone above and beyond to make my treatment as smooth and pleasant as possible. They are always available to answer questions and treat me with respect. I feel very safe in Dr.Damle’s care.

Dr. Damle reviews my case every 6-8 weeks either with her or the Physician Assistant. She has been treating me for over 6 years now, as my medical condition has improved substantially.

Easy to communicate with and understanding. She has an outstanding staff and they all display great patience for those who are receiving care from there office.

I was not happy with the first visit. I find this Dr Damle unprofessional and wastes her patient s time. She is offensive and wastes time sitting on her patients reports. I will not return for a third appointment

I am very disappointed with the experience I just endured with the nursing staff for Dr. Damle. They lied and attempted to deceive the patient I was attending with- for a consult. AS WELL I have never been more rudely treated.

Too quick, confusing, not enough attention paid, questions not answered well, sometimes rude.

She was very thorough. She listened to my concerns & discussed my medication & the need to continue to take

I have the highest regard and appreciation of Dr. Damle's professional care of my condition, her frank and detailed diagnosis, treatment and periodic review of its remission level. Her Physician Assistant and nurses continue to be helpful with my bi-weekly care.

Dr. Damle is very thorough in giving me information and answering questions. she was my Physician during the cancer treatment I went through in 2014. She is very driven to make sure the most successful and tolerable treatment is given. She is very sincere in the care she gives. her nurses and team are so very caring. I praise the lord for my oncologist and those that assist her. I would recommend her in a heart beat.

I am being seen for breast cancer that was caught very early and I am very happy with the treatment that I receive from Dr. Damle and her staff. I feel that she is very thorough and takes my concerns seriously. She is easy to talk to, and she explains things to my understanding.

Dr Damle and her staff are why I am still alive! Dr Damle is knowledgeable, detailed, very caring but clear in her expectations. She and her staff are responsive, friendly and extremely professional. Amy, Dr Damle’s PA is a perfect extension of Dr Damle, and the treatment room nurses are so caring and so easy to be around. I actually look forward to seeing all the staff on treatment or follow-up days, even the Lab Techs make getting blood drawn a pleasant experience! In short, Dr Damle and her entire staff make what would be a very hard time as easy and pleasant as possible.

Dr Damle is caring, though, and dedicated to her patients. You never feel like you’re “just one of many” A person needing cancer treatment could not find a more capable team than Dr Damle and her staff.

Yes I would recommend her. I thank her for treating me these 2 plus years for my illness. Dr. Damle and Amy (PA) have always treated me with great respect and explained things to me. It has been a pleasure to receive there help in my time of need.

Informative caring professional

Dr. Damle came into the room with my 84 yr old Dad that has been very sick and recently had skin cancer sugery on his ear, and the first thing she said to him was "hello, put your mask on". If she would of read his chart she would of seen that he had surgery on ear and that would make it difficult to wear a mask over that ear. She had no bedside manner at all. No compassion. Something that confirmed that is when we asked her to write an order for my Dad to have an updated scan since the one in January. We are now in March and did a 27 day alternative treatment right after the PETscan in Jan. We would like to know if it changed anything. She would not write an order bc she said it wouldn't change anything. I was shocked!!! I asked her why she wouldn't do that for him and reminded her that she isn't paying for it. She still would not. That is heartless!!! Why wouldn't a doctor be willing to do what it takes to help a man live?? She is certainly not following the Hippocratic Oath. It just made my case for not going to conventional medicine doctors for 17 years even stronger. If you want to get to the root of your problem, and have a doctor that cares if you live or die, go to a functional medicine doctor. I wouldn't of given Dr. Damle even one star but I had to in order to write this review. It actually makes me want to become an oncologist so that I could show people compassion and empathy. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. As medical practitioners, we are are held to a much higher standard than what was presented to my family today by this doctor. Professionalism, compassion and care are only a few responsibilities this doctor accepted in becoming a medical professional. When a person becomes ill it is a new experience for them and their family. To give conflicting information, refuse medication refills and have a dismissive/ nonchalant attitude about such a serious condition is shameful and should not be tolerated by the administration of this hospital. It is appalling to see other patients have had similar experiences and yet this doctor remains on staff. In my opinion, her attitude toward patients leaves much to be desired. Four hour wait for my first office visit with Dr. Damle. I was referred by my doctor for medication counseling for a medication I had been taking for 10 years for breast cancer prevention because of a family history of breast cancer. Dr. Damle was unapologetic and dismissive about the wait time. She acted like she was in a hurry and made me feel like I was wasting her time. She said the drug was not recommended except for women who had already had cancer which was not the case. We disagreed. I began to leave. She tossed me a paper top and said here, put this on and let me examine you. There was no nurse in the room. I took my clothes off and put the paper top on for her exam, then got dressed and left. She filed the visit as no history of cancer and no diagnoses. I have worked back and forth with her billing office and my government Blue Cross Blue Shield for a year trying to get this bill paid. I am now left with paying the entire bill because of the "no history of cancer and no diagnoses". I would not trust such an emotional person for my care in the future. She is also uneducated regarding the medication which resulted in me having to pay the full bill. The medication is Evista (Raloxifene) and has been approved by the FDA since the 90s for prevention of breast cancer for women who are high risk. Also, FDA states Evista may NOT be for women who have had breast cancer and has not been fully studied in women who have a history of breast cancer. Evista is also for osteoporosis. Evista can be used to lower your chance of getting invasive breast cancer. If you have other risk factors including age, family history, including breast cancer in your mother, sister, or daughter, or any breast biopsy, Evista may help lower your chances for invasive breast cancer. I wasted my day with Dr. Damle, received no help from her, was treated horribly, and it cost me $266.

My father in law saw her today. After being late for the appointment for two hours, she came in with a attitude for no reason, not even apologizing or introduce herself. She was being short and indifferent, like she had better things to do. She then asked me what kind of disease do we have (??), then when I told her they diagnosed him with stomach cancer, she just then flipped over some paper and said "yea, that's what he has. What do you want to do from this point on" (???) I mean, at this point I'm at a loss for words. Isnt she the doctor here and we are the new patients who had been waiting for 2 weeks to hear our prognosis?? It was devastating enough to find out you have cancer but having this person as your first doctor is at another level of disappointment. I've never left a review about anybody before in my life, hopefully this will be my last. Please do yourself a favor and find somebody else to treat your family members or self. We are going on about 2 yrs of Dr. Damle as my moms doctor. Could not ask for a better oncologist. She takes her work seriously and make sure my mom has what she needs and recommended a great team of doctors to work with her. She stays very busy but has always answered any questions we had. Thank you for extra time you spend with your patients addressing their needs. There has been times that we sit in the waiting room for an extra hour because she is running behind time. So we prepare ourselves for that and make a day of it.... just think if you had 10 ppl in front of you and she took an extra 5 mins to talk with you that's going to make her behind. I just sit there and enjoy the extra time I get to have with my mom while I can. Thank you Dr. Damle for all that you and your staff has done for my family! BTW. .. I have been a patient of Dr. Damle for over 13 years and I have had Cancer Three times. Breast cancer twice then Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Dr. Damle has gotten me through each time and I've been in Remission on all the Cancers for over ten years. She maybe a little rough around the edges but I realize her job is not an easy one. Dr Damle has taken care of many cancer patients and sometimes it can be hard on her I'm sure. All I can say is she has saved my life and God Bless her. Doctor came in patient room with an unfriendly attitude. Did not introduce herself. Worst bedside manner I've experienced in a long time. Was not knowledgeable about subject or helping with prevention of cancer. My appointment was at 12:45. I arrived at 12:30 with only 2 patients in the waiting area and was not seen by Dr. Damle doctor until 3. When I mentioned this to the doctor, she said she had been working without a break and other patients needed to be seen. I also bring my mom to another doctor at this practice annually and she had never been treated like this. His name is Dr. Atienza. If you go to Virginia Oncology, Dr. Atienza or his physician's assistant is the one to see. If I could I'd give Dr. Damle no stars. Why would an oncologist not want to prevent cancer? I am an RN who works in a hospital where Dr. Damle also works. I respect her knowledge and wisdom. She is very thoughtful and thorough. Top notch in my book! She would be my doctor should I need her.

Dr. Damle is knowledgable about her field. I think I am getting appropriate care. She is not a good listener. Her attention span is about 20 seconds. So it is important to organize your thoughts and be able to get the important issue out quickly. She doesn't deal with multiple issues. She has a tendency to repeat standard answers for non-standard questions or issues. She's always in a hurry.

Dr Iyer and his staff are wonderful. I have had trouble with my stomach for over 15 years. I needed surgery and they went out of their way to make sure it happened. First time I met Dr. Iyer was in emergency room. We didn't have insurance and he still treated us with the utmost respect. We have insurance now and since the my husband and myself have had to see many Dr's for different reasons. Even though I am happy with my other Dr's this office and this Dr has meant the world to my husband and me. I am finally healthy after many years of illness.
