Dr. Susan Marie Mazzei

I have had TMJ surgery in the past and require accommodations for dental procedures. Unlike many dentists I have seen, Dr. Mazzei is wonderful and does whatever she can to ensure that I am as comfortable as I can be. She is compassionate and a perfectionist. The work I have had done at her office is excellent! Her staff is friendly and professional. I cannot give her a higher recommendation. At some point I plan to move out of state but will travel back to Illinois to see her.

BEST DENTIST EVER. Dr. Mazai has answered her phone on the weekend when I had an abscessed tooth. She called in some antibiotics and I get to see her this week. I love her!

Been going to Dr. Mazzei for years. Excellent dentist. Highly recommend.

I am not one to post something like this, but I feel it is necessary for anyone else who might have the same problem I did. First off, the reason I am giving the 2 stars and not 0 is because the staff there is very friendly and they do a good job trying to make you feel comfortable. I experienced long waits with this office, I experienced being worked on by the Dr. alone and her not having an assistant at times. I went in for a hole that needed to be filled and ended up with a nightmare. I just left another dentist who was at an absolute loss for words with the work that was performed on my teeth here. It has been a little over a year and I still can't eat on the right side of my mouth. I now will have to possibly have a tooth pulled because they failed to do the work correctly. This will mean more money for me, and hopefully the problems will be fixed. When it comes to trusting your gut you always should. Something felt wrong to me after going in to have the same tooth fixed 3 times in their office. The answer was to drill out 80% of the tooth and just fill it in. Maybe they were trying to save me money, but I would much rather have my tooth and be in debt than have no tooth at all. I am not bashing them, but I am just not sure why they fixed my mouth the way they did. So the great part about America is that there are always other options. I have decided to go somewhere else. Outstanding dentist and staff. Very professional and is great with our kids.

Dr. Mazzei is by far the best dentist I have ever had. I would highly recommend her and her staff to anyone that is looking for a great dentist. I have had multiple restorations, crowns and veneers done throughout my life and I have never had a better experience then when I go to her office. Her and her staff are always very friendly and they truly care about my health and well-being. I will gladly drive 40 minutes to her office and pass up many other dentists because of the care I receive from her and her team. Dr. Mazzei is by far the best dentist I have ever had. She misdiagnosed the severity of a cracked lower molar, caused an infection in my jaw lines either while doing a routine cleaning or a crown prep and had unprofessional followup when I called her office for severe pain and throbbing (I had to call TWICE for a response and was then informed the office would be closed for a week!). I had a root canal done the next day by an endodontist and also had to seek immediate care for the severe right facial swelling and pain; a CT scan was performed on my head to determine the cause: an infection was discovered and I was then prescribed antibiotics and strong pain medication. A horrible experience! She had a complete misunderstanding of my follow-up root canal; in an email she stated that she thought I was referred to an oral surgeon for a tooth extraction -- obviously, she did not bother to call the office that performed the root canal. She also seemed more concerned about her image rather than asking if I was okay or feeling better. She also did not offer to reimburse me for the work she did or the medical expense I incurred. Dr. Mazzei has been my dentist for a few years now. She has been nothing but professional and efficient. I see her twice a year for cleanings and her staff is exceptional! I'm not a fan of dentists and am not a fan of pain, Dr. Mazzei shows concern for this as well as my general health. I have been going to Dr. Mazzei the past 5-6 years for various dental needs and find her both compassionate and competent, professional in every way. Her office and services are oustanding and my whole family goes to her for their dental needs. Office staff is very friendly and helpful. She works closely with my oral surgeon when needed. I highly recommend her services for your dental needs.

I had in appointment on Thursday February 5th 2015 at 3:50 so I get there real early because I had to fill out some paper work, and there was two patients in front of me witch was ok so now the time is 4:00 and I'm still waiting to be seen, and two more patients come in and one was seen right away he was probe 12 years old and then a third patients came in so now they called the next patient and then they call the last guy that walked in the door and I'm still waiting to be called so now the time is 4:30 and they finely called my name if I didn't really need to see a dentist so bad I probe would have left at 4:00 so now I'm waiting in the room. Dr. Mazzei finely shows up at 4:50pm and she took some dental floss and cleaned out my tooth that was hurting and then she tell me I have a tooth that needs to be filled "BUT SHE CANT DO IT BECASUSE SHE HAS A FLIGHT TO CATCH AT 7:00 AND TO COME BACK ANOTHER TIME TO HAVE HER FILL IT". so now I go to check out and they charged me $98 and on top of all that my tooth is still hurting what the hell what kind of dentist is this I have never been to a dentist that treats patients like this.
