Dr. Tatyana Borodulin

I come to her practice for about a year but she is a careless doctor it seems as she only care about insurance payment and she is totally unprofessional in all aspect I change to another doctor and I am happy with the change I regret stay for so long with such a bad doctor.

Dr. Borodulin and her staff are simply the best! I've now been a patient for over ten years and I have never had an issue or disappointment with her care. In my opinion, she is an outstanding family doctor and clearly dedicated to her patients.

She is wonderful and compassionate about helping her patients physical and mental well being. I appreciate her bed side manner and her medical knowledge.

Tatiana Borodulin has been our family physician for 20 years now and we cannot be more satisfied. Her professionalism and knowledge in her field has never failed to impress us. Doctor Borodulin has helped my family and I lead healthy lifestyles for many years through her thorough check-up procedures and extra work that she has done for me, personally, to help me reach a healthy weight goal. Her weight loss program that she referred me to has been my saving grace, and I am so thankful for all of the help she has provided me. My daughter also had recently torn a rotator cuff muscle (she is a collegiate athlete) and Dr. Borodulin did an amazing and swift job of making sure she received the best specialists and care for her injury as quickly as possible. Thanks to her, my family and I have not only a great doctor, but a person we can whole-heartedly rely on. Through my general experience, I have not encountered a physician as caring and empathetic as Doctor Borodulin. Be very careful. This doctor prescribes too many pills!! I ended up in the hospital. My new physician took me off all the unnecessary prescriptions ( 5 total!) I feel so much better. Avoid this doctor at all costs.

Dr. Borodulin was my doctor for over 16 years, and then, due to me double-checking on what I viewed as errors, probably accidental, made by her or her staff - two diagnoses listed on the visit summary that were incorrect - without any direct communication with me she summarily discharged me from her practice! The first error was corrected, but the new version of the Visit Summary contained another incorrect diagnosis that had not been on the first version! She insisted I'd told her, this year, that a specialist had given me that diagnosis - Fibromyalgia - in 2012. Which makes no sense: I was her patient in 2012; if a specialist had made that diagnosis, she should have gotten notice of it; she had never mentioned it to me before, was not treating me for it, etc.!! I have since begun to wonder if her reaction - kicking me to the curb - was partly due to the fact that I am now on Medicare -meaning that she does not get paid as much, plus, two entities have to be billed instead of one - MediCare plus my back-up insurance; and it probably takes longer to get paid by both. One of her forms clearly indicates that she & her subordinate Dr. Ponedelnikov limit the number of patients on MediCare that they will serve. So don't expect her to be your doctor forever, because when you turn 65 she may give you the boot!!! Further, she terribly mishandled a situation - resulting in me becoming permanently disabled! The story: After being in the emergency room on a Friday evening, and being told I'd fractured a vertebra, when I called her office the following week for an appt. I was told by her staff that she had no openings for a month (!!), AND that she had said to tell me that 'there was nothing that could be done' for a fractured vertebra!! Well, this is not true - that nothing can be done; it depends on the nature of the fracture - there is something called vertebroplasty - and she had no idea what kind of fracture I had. I had to learn this the hard way. Because I had not met criteria to be taken to a trauma center, the ambulance I called took me to the closest hospital, which only gave me an X-ray, not an MRI. Dr. Borodulin's refusal to see me, and dismissive attitude towards my injury, resulted in the passage of 60 days before I had an MRI & got the results - that I'd had a 'burst' fracture, much more severe than a compression fracture. The treatment for a burst fracture is to be put into a brace for the first 90 days. My fracture had already begun to heal - leaving me permanently bent, with a big knob on my spine. Dr. Borodulin later advised me to apply the Social Security Administration for permanently disabled status. I was in too much pain and distress and disability to think of changing doctors - & unable to work - & did not want to lose her - I'd already been her patient for 9 years, and thought she liked me! However, I should have sued her for malpractice - and it is now too late. Along with not having the softest 'bedside manner' it appears that Dr. Borodulin is doing medicine for the money & really doesn't care much for her patients. Maybe she wasn't always like this, but she seems burned out. She was snide and impatient with me in the last appt. I had with her before she discharged me from her practice. Despite stating she would send my records to my new doctor when requested, the records were sent to me - and were a huge mess, full of duplicates, & in no discernable order. Further, important reports from a specialist I'd seen were missing, & I had to request them myself. Despite the records from recent years being electronic, her office stated that they would not send them electronically to my new doctor!! Dr. Borodulin grew up in the Soviet Union. I never again want to have a primary care provider who is not a native speaker. I thought she liked me - but she dumped me very imperiously - & insisted I'd told her something I never said - and that made no sense!! There was an absence of true communication. She is a great doctor!

I’ve been going to Campbell Family Practice for the past 10 years. My primary doctor is Dr. Borodulin but I’ve been seen by Dr. Polydelnikov too. They are both excellent doctors. In all these years the care I have received from this center has been consistently great. I’ve never felt rushed during any of the visits and I was always treated like a family member (by both doctors). They always take enough time to answer all my questions and concerns. About five months ago I developed a major cough problem followed by an allergy that leads to a horrible skin rash. I was treated by both doctors on 2 separate occasions. I went to Campbell Family without prior appointment and was seen by Dr. Polydelnikov. Very nice doctor, he treated the cough with antibiotics but my initial mild symptoms of coughing didn’t go away. Meanwhile I started having an allergic reaction to that medication. I had never been allergic to anything so I didn’t think it was allergy. Long story short, next day I called the center and asked to be seen without prior appointment again. Dr. Borodulin agreed to see me during her lunch break. I was there for 2 ½ hrs that Friday afternoon. I had been told by the front desk lady that she was going to leave early that day, but she stayed and took the time and asked all kinds of question and did a bunch of tests on my lungs. Finally she prescribed 2 separate medications for the problems. 30 hours later the allergic problem was gone and the other mediation took care of this cough in less than a week. I was very impressed with her diagnosis particularly for the cough problem. Apparently this had to do with some asthma related complication that was effectively treated with her prescribed medications. I am 57 and had never experienced anything like this in my life before. In my opinion Dr. Borodulin is an asset to this community and I am very grateful for all the attention that I have received from her all these years. Have been seeing Dr. Borodulin/Deweese for years! Dr. Borodulin is gruff but professional and a no nonsense type of person. If you need a gentle doctor, Borodulin is not for you. If you want a no nonsense type of 'this is what I can do for you or I can't help you go here' diagnosis...then Tatyana Borodulin is the one. Dr Deweese was an excellent old timey doctor but I understand he had to retire due to health issues. Either way...Borodulin has fit mine and my family's needs for about 15 years running... Have been seeing Dr. Borodulin/Deweese for years! Dr. Borodulin is gruff but professional and a no nonsense type of person. If you need a gentle doctor, Borodulin is not for you. Earlier this year I contacted Dr. Borodulin's office to see whether they would accept the health care plan we were planning to sign up for - an Anthem BlueCross Preferred DirectAccess PPO plan purchased "off exchange." (This was right around the time when California residents were legally required to sign up for health care coverage through Covered California or an off-exchange plan or be subject to a fine.) The key thing the office manager needed to know was whether it was an Anthem BlueCross PPO plan and whether it was purchased "off exchange." The perception I got was that off-exchange plans paid out higher rates than the new lower-paying Covered California plans. I confirmed that our plan was one of the premium "off-exchange" plans and the office confirmed coverage support. We went ahead and signed up. When my wife called today to schedule her first visit, Dr. Borodulin's office turned her away. I called back and spoke with both Stella and Carla (the office manager). While Dr. Borodulin's office accepts some Anthem BlueCross plans, they apparently do not accept on/off-exchange plans and Pathway PPO plans. Wasn't the point of Covered California and Obamacare to provide broader health care access to California residents? Yet, here we are being turned away after having confirmed that our plan was "accepted" by Dr. Borodulin's office and after paying a hefty monthly premium of $1,238.31 for "premium access" to health care. I am very disappointed with Dr. Borodulin's office. I can't speak of the medical treatment, because we didn't get that far. I get the sense that the office only accepts plans that pay out high rates (that means no plans offered through the Exchange and apparently not even my plan that was purchased "off-exchange"). How disappointing and misleading. I would not recommend Dr. Borodulin's practice for these reasons. Dr. Borodulin is a wonderful and caring doctor. My entire family have been her patients for many years and we've had nothing but great experiences with her!
