Dr. Timothy B Mcconnell

I have been a patient of Dr. McConnell’s for over a year. He recently performed my total knee replacement. He was very thorough and compassionate in my treatment prior to surgery. The surgery went very smooth and he put my mind at ease the day of. He is patient and thoroughly answers all of my questions. I highly recommend him without reservation - he’s a fabulous physician and surgeon.

Dr. McConnell is fantastic! Always listens to my concerns and did a bang up job on my partial knee replacement. Staff is also very nice and concerned about how I’m doing.

Dr. McConnell took time with me and explained what was going on with my knee. Was friendly, listened carefully and provided much needed insight.

I have known Dr McConnell for many years. I worked with him professionally and I observed a physician who cares deeply about his patients and the care they received. He treats his patients and the staff that cares for his patients with respect. That is why I chose him to help me understand and choose options that deal with my orthopedic issues that have presented themselves, to me, in the last few years. I feel he is very knowledgeable and current in his field of expertise. He is professional, has a great bedside manner and takes as much time as needed to address any questions I might have. Dr. McConnell is a skilled surgeon, is very kind and very detailed. If you need knee surgery I highly recommend him.

Skilled, caring and kind best describes this 5 Star Doctor. Over a series of visits from initial consultation through successful partial knee replacement Dr. McConnell always took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. My appointment times were always on schedule and the doctor always was the person examining me; there never was an intermediary. He deserves the 5 Star rating that many have given him.

Dr McConnell performed knee replacement surgery on both knees, one a partial the other a full. I'm still playing soccer and running some over 4 years post surgery. Dr McConnell was very thorough in explanation of the options for me and did a great job. I would recommend anyone considering knee replacements to consider Dr McConnell.

Dr Mcconnell was pleasant and provided a clear explanation of the surgery needed. Staff is great! The surgery was successful and I am no longer in pain.

I have been a patient of Dr. McConnell’s for two injuries. He is an amazing physician who is straightforward, professional, and attentive. He repaired my shoulder after two other surgeons/surgeries were unsuccessful. To say his skills changed my life is no understatement, as I am now athletically active again after years of pain and inactivity. Since that surgery, he has done a knee-replacement revision and shoulder repair for my grandfather — both with amazing success. Arthritis and total shoulder replacement was performed by Dr. McConnell. His diagnosis and treatment were very effective and I am pain free today. I appreciate that the staff and facility go to great lengths to see that you get the appropriate care and also limit infection chances during surgery.

Unclear diagnosis, way too optimistic recovery estimate!

Very efficient check-in process. Everyone was friendly and timely. I was extremely please with the care received and my medical condition was explained in a way easy to understand.

Dr. McConnell successfully operated on my shoulder to repair my rotator cuff in 2017'. he also did a partial knee replacement in February of 2019. My results were excelnet and his follow up appointments were also very positive.

I appreciated Dr. McConnell answering all of my questions as well as giving me options for treatment.

Dr. Tim McConnell always handles my visits with professionalism, compassion, knowledge and unquestionable skill!! He is outstanding!!

Wait time was very short. Dr. McConnell explained condition and steps of care and probably outlook down the road. Immediate care of condition was provided same visit.

I have worked with Dr. McConnell for two different problems in the last few months. He has been great to work with and has put me on the fast track to recovery allowing me to return to my athletic pursuits quickly.

Dr. McConnell saw me after a fracture to my left fibula and sprain to right ankle. Office personnel was great, no wait and Dr. McConnell was professional yet caring. Would recommend all family and friends to him if needed.

I would definitely recommend Dr. McConnell to all of my family and friends. He has been very patient and concerned about the pain I was experiencing in my right knee, and after X rays he carefully explained that I would need a partial knee replacement to correct the problem. My decision to proceed was done only after other medication prescribed did not give me the relief I needed to perform ordinary everyday tasks. The surgery has been done, and recovery has been great. Just as described.

Dr. McConnell is an outstanding surgeon. Both of my knees were bone on bone. He discussed my options with me including injections and replacement. He did not try to rush me into a decision I was not ready for, which I appreciated. When I told him I was ready to have the replacement he explained everything about the procedure and took the time to answer all of my questions. I had the first total knee replacement 8 weeks ago and the results have been amazing. I highly recommend him.

Dr. McConnell did an amazing job replacing my left hip and taking away the pain. He took great care of me, explained everything thoroughly and sent me to a great PT location because he knew it was the best place for me, despite having their own PT office. You don't see that kind of integrity in the medical field much anymore. The great people at @mobilityfitpt at the best in the business and I've been to a number of PT locations in my sports filled life. I highly recommend Dr. McConnell!!

Dr. McConnell recentlly replaced my left total hip using the anterior approach. He was very thorough and professional. I was reassured by his confidence that the surgery would be successful. He has created a skilled team that did an excellent job both making me comfortable and performing the surgery. I went home the same day, and two weeks later I am walking and getting my life back. His expertise and professionalism are first rate. The procedure went perfectly. The experience was outstanding.

I saw Dr. McConnell again today, (numerous operations and procedures over a number of years), I would suggest to any relative or friend that he be considered one's first choice in bone issues with or without arthritis complications. In the hospital I found him to care enough, both before and after, to make sure my wife was as comfortable with the entire situation as I was. He is the kind of man that would be a good friend, someone you could count on, honest, and well, clearly, spoken. GREAT DOC

Dr. McConnell is an excellent, knowledgeable, caring and personable physician. I had rotator cuff surgery in January 2015 and then partial knee replacement in August 2015. He explained everything I needed to know about the operations, saw me prior to surgery and was in the surgical room when I arrived. Post operatively everything went as he had previously explained. I am a retired RN and know that Dr. McConnell is one of the best! I am so thankful for his skill and care!!!!

The worst exp.of my life. He is tude and has no bedside manner at all. He did not listen to a single word I said. When i got MRSA after telling him the incidion wasn't right when he removed the staples. He shows up at Bathesda North and has the never to ask me what I wanted him to do. You can only imagine. I don't recommend him. I dont like him he is the worst, most uncaring so called surgeon or dr I have ever met. Please stear clear of the man who thinks he God's gift to women. He ruined me.

Dr. McConnell is a genuinely great person. I am thankful that he places such a large emphasis on physical health and cross training. He understands how important those aspects are for recovery.
