Vance Zachary Johnson

After seeing a pain doctor where I live in the Palm Desert area and having no relief, I was told about Dr. Johnson from a friend. This friend of mine‘s partner had severe sciatic pain. Dr. Johnson had performed a minor surgery on him and his pain has been gone for 2 1/2 years now. That’s all I needed to hear. My first appointment with him I had to wait about 20 minutes after my appointment time which is actually the norm these days. I’m 61 years old and never in my life has any doctor spent that much time with me. It was at least 45 minutes. He went over every millimeter of my MRI with me and told me things no doctor has ever told me about my back situation. Everything he said made total sense to me. Although I had several injections in my back from another doctor with no results, Dr. Johnson wanted to give it one last try before he would perform surgery. It was a very pleasant experience and I had relief for the first time in years. Unfortunately the relief only lasted for three days. Anyone out there who is suffering from neuropathy and sciatic pain will tell you that to have relief for even three days is a miracle. I have all the faith in Dr. Johnson and looking forward to a successful surgery. I will comment again when it is done. I also would like to say that I have a hard time believing his negative reviews on Google. He has been nothing but patient, kind and caring. I would recommend him to any friend or family member.

I highly recommend Dr Vance Johnson. After several years of trying to find relieve for terrible Sciatic pain, he cured me. His office and staff are very professional & all have a great positive attitude. Thank you so much!

Dr. Johnson is a rare find in today's fast-paced world where the insurance companies dictate how medicine is practice and numbers win. This is not the case with Dr. Johnson, he spends time with each patient and truly LISTENS to his/her concerns as if they were his only patient of the day. He does not recommend unnecessary procedures or prescribe medications as bandaids to the problem. He truly cares and wants to find the best solution to resolve the problem at hand for each patient. Additionally, his staff (front desk & nurses) are terrific - they always are courteous and respectful on the phone (also a rare find these days!), resolve your concerns, schedule in a timely fashion, and give compassionate care while in the office. He is a joke.. Not professional and if your a tall big guy with tattoos good luck he has little man syndrome...i pray for him every day after I met him he really needs to change as a person..i forgive you doc.. I know its hard not to judge a book by its cover... I forgive you be true to yourself its not so bad

Unfortunately I can’t rate this establishment for their medical care because I never received any. After having scheduled an appointment almost 2 months in advance I show up for my appointment and the door is locked. Call them and I’m told they canceled all of Dr Johnson’s appointment for the day, said I should have received a call. Well I didn’t and then I’m told I have to wait another month. I don’t think I want their care! Oh and it turns out they moved without even telling me. You might want to change the address in google maps and your website also your new patient forms. The BEST bed side manner!! He truly cares about your pain and he takes the time to talk to you. He explains things thoroughly and makes sure that you are comfortable/understands everything. His staff is AWESOME!!! Liz is a Doll!! I recommend them 100%!!

A Godsend! Just great. I wish I found Dr. Johnson sooner. He and his staff know their stuff. When you are in pain and hurting a lot you need to know what's happening to make a good choice for yourself. See Dr. Johnson for that because he knows and explains it with the right words. I so thankful. He has my trust and has treated my family and friends so he has theirs too.

Dr Vance Johnson has been my primary Dr for 3 yrs now when I met the Dr yes he is streight to the point of the reason your there I under stand he really wants to help you out With the pain and suffering your going thru just like me heis a really good Dr and that cares

Great Doctor I'm glad I found Dr. Johnson. You gotta look. I've been looking Just to find someone smart and kind. You're gonna see what I'm talking about. Wonderful Dr. Johnson is intense about getting to know your story and needs. He's the 1st one EVER to focus the plan on my goals. He says he's "about helping me do what I love, with the people Iove" He doesn't say you can't do this or that anymore. He gives more than anyone. Information and hope. Then he delivers. They deliver. His team is awesome. I've had two operations. Broken joints. Hardly felt either procedure. 100% better! Everytime I'm there I see them doing the same for others. Several times other patients have told me how glad they are to have found Dr. Johnson. You're lucky too.

As a Deputy Sheriff, it is vital that I have a strong body After a lower back injury on duty, I saw Dr Johnson on several occasions for epidural injections that returned me back to normal. In another word, he is great. I have recommended several of my coworkers to Dr. Johnson and they all have had great results.

Great! Just a good person and a great doctor. He made sense of what others messed up. I learned more in 30 min with him than all the other doctors combined. I could have been feeling better much faster if I came to Dr. Johnson sooner.

I will say he relieved my lumbar back pain, he is very educated and knows what he he doing however on at least 3 occasions he has made me feel very upset. He has been very rude and condescending to me. I am a forgiving women but I will never return to his office. It’s too bad he treats his patients or certain patients that way. I was in a great mood upon arrival for follow up visit but nearly in tears and so angry at the way he spoke to me. I don’t need a Dr. that I cannot communicate well with. Good luck! I do not recommend Dr. Johnson due to his extremely disrespectful demeanor.

Dr. Johnson is very kind, compassionate, great bed side manner & he listens with empathy. He's very knowledgeable & confident. Great doctor!

Dr. Vance Johnson did the MILD procedure on my husband about 10 years. He had immediate relief and the numbness and pain has never returned!

He is an idiot , I came in for injection, he had me standing; which is SO odd!! RAMMED the needle in my back and about killed me!! I left that office crying. Sat in my car trying to compose myself, still crying, NEVER went back. I feel that he had serious personal problems going on; and if it wasn’t a good day; the patients payed for it!!

Kind, caring and compassionate.

I’ve seen Dr Johnson in his Murrieta office for last 5 years . Dr Johnson is a fantastic doctor treating my spinal problems. I’ve lost 6” in torso from kyphoscoliosis, so ablations have been a major quality of life improvement for me. He’s very personable & explains things very well. His staff are the best in kindness & doing everything to facilitate your appointments & procedures. I’m very thankful for all Dr Johnson & his staff have done to help me.

One of the best doctors I’ve ever encountered. Truly cares about your ur well being and takes the time to explain and understand. You kcan ave the facility with mental physical and spiritual therapy. Staff is exceptional, professional and just wonderful.

Dr. Johnson took the time to explain to us why his treatments may (or may not) work for the existing conditions. Was very compassionate and understanding and provided more than one solution optio.

From my very first appointment I felt I was in good hands. He answered all my questions, and I'm one to have a long list. He let me know all my options. He prefers to focus on less invasive procedures before recommending surgery. I never feel rushed and his staff is as dedicated to their patients as he is. I feel I am in great hands as I approach this aging process and I appreciate his attitude regarding life and helping me to continue to be able to do the things I love.

When I walk into Dr. Johnson's office I am immediately greeted with a friendly smile and greeting. Dr. Johnson reviewed my MRI and EMG reports and spent time with me explaining in detail what was causing my low back pain and pain shooting down my legs. Dr. Johnson recommended epidural injections which I had done. I have been pain free for 6 months, and am able to walk and play golf again.

I went to Dr Vance Johnson last year with major back pain radiating out into my shoulder and arm He ordered MRI and nerve test. Determined I had pinched nerve in my lower back. Scheduled epidural injections and after the 2nd injection pain was gone and has not return in over a year. My mom (the most precious person in the world to me) has been having problems with her back and so I naturally insisted she go to see Dr Johnson. He isolated the problem and will be doing some epidural injection.

Dr. Johnson has always listened to me and repeats back more concisely what I tell him. He takes the time to explain why I'm having the problem I'm there for and the ways he might be able to help, or not, and why. If he's unable to help, he directs me to the right provider or therapy. He and his staff are very professional, pleasant and extremely well organized. They have always done their best to address my concerns and help me to achieve a solution and relief as soon as possible.

I finally found a doctor that gives me hope from this persistent and unrelenting pain. I did not want to rely pain medications and he follows a similar philosophy. He is extremely knowledgeable and sincere. I truly felt like he wanted to take the time to understand my concerns. I've had one injection so far and already notice a big difference. I am so very thankful for this doctor and his wonderful team!

Dr. Johnson is extremely competent, compassionate, and professional. I feel he is completely committed to giving 100% quality care to his patients. His staff is wonderful, I am always greeted with a welcoming smile. I refer all my family and friends to come and see him. They also describe their experience as great one and Dr. Johnson is so sincere.

Dr. Johnson is the BEST I read the other reviews. Few angry people who said bad things, must not have wanted to listen or chose a better way. I don't know how Dr. can listen to many people complain and still be so kind. I've seen him treat rude people kindly. He used my own MRI and explained things to me. Dr. Johnson has the patience of a saint. Dr. Johnson is the best at his subspecialty, which is Interventional Spine Medicine. I am a doctor and know how anonymous complaints from angry people who misbehave because of opioids or long pain can mislead. Make not mistake. Dr. Johnson is kind AND brilliant. I have trusted him with my own spine and am glad I found him. If he will see you, LISTEN. I am much better for it. Dr. Johnson is a rare gem.

After many sessions with Dr Johnson, and two procedures, I continue to have a great deal of pain and no relief. On my third procedure my spinal cord was hit and now my whole left side from the waist down and part of my right foot is numb. Do not have these procedures! They are useless, no matter what they tell you, they do not work! Not only did he hit my spinal cord, but never admitted it, I had to have a neurologist go over the MRI to tell me that is what happened!!

Dr. Johnson has been a wonderful blessing in helping me cope with very severe pain problems. I recommend him to anyone relating they have spine problems.

Dr. Johnson is incredibly gifted when it comes to pain management, but has another side to him that can leave one in tears. For some reason, he has a very rude manner about him if you say something that somehow sets him off. I left his office in tears, feeling much worse than when I arrived, and will find a doctor with both talent AND graciousness in the future. I hope he can begin to live up to the quotes on his wall. It's a shame to see such talent tainted due to rudeness and arrogance.

Dr. Johnson was very personable and knowledgable. He is great and so is his staff.

I have seen Dr. Johnson for approximately ten years for degenerative low back problems. His care and expertise are consistently exceptional. Literally, without his care, I would very likely be in a wheelchair today. One surgeon predicted this outcome. I have issues, but, thanks to Dr. Johnson's care, I lead an active life. Although Dr. Johnson specializes in back related issues, he sees and treats his patients as a whole person, not as a mindless bad back.
