Dr. Cannestra is the best!! Very professional and a wonderful Doctor!!

This time, I was greeted warmly and informed all new paperwork was necessary.

Great guy, awesome doctor, you will be happy with him and his staff!

Dr Cannestra has always been professional, patient and understanding. He explains what is happening, provides options and gives an honest opinion. He then encourages me to make a decision based on my situation and comfort level.

Doctor Cannestra did a complete hip replacement surgery on me and everything came out excellent. He kept me completely in the loop throughout the process and answered all my concerns. Thank you

Doctor Cannestra is very knowledgeable! He did my left knee replacement in 2020. My recovery was great and I am pain free now.

I was be there for my tratamiento of my hip and I was confort whit the first visit the personal is friendly and I have great experience thanks for yours service

Saw me promptly. Personable and knowledgeable. Glad I sought a second opinion as I learned something about my condition I didn't know.

Dr Cannestra has been very open and honest in his input on my total knee replacement both before surgery and post operative. I am recovering at the pace he suggested I would. I look forward to a full recovery and pain free use of my new left knee.

I was very surprised at the efficiency of this office. Never waited more than 3 minutes between the health providers and the doctor as they preformed their duties. Staff and doctor were friendly and answered all questions without feeling rushed. I would recommend but I want to see the bill first

Had a very good experience. The is kind and caring and answered all of my questions. The staff was great.

My first visit to Dr, Cannestra was this year (2022). I have to say that after seeing him twice now, I wish I had seen him years ago. He’s very knowledgeable, thorough and has a great doctor-patient manner. He also has an excellent professional reputation — I know, I checked him on multiple web sites before my first visit. Frankly, I thought “I don’t know how a regular person like me will be able to become a patient of his. He’s got to be at the top of his profession!” He very much is an amazing doctor. Anyone needing help in his specialty would be very lucky to become his patient. I still wish I had seen him years ago, but I’m happy to be seeing him now. I have complete confidence in him. Dr Cannestra is a very highly capable surgeon. Surgery being very last resort. The only Doctor I would trust with anyone, you're in great hands with him.

Dr Cannestra skillfully performed my knee replacement surgery which was a success. He has been very encouraging and thorough with the follow up visits. He and the staff are friendly and personable, while also being very professional. I highly recommend Dr Cannestra!

Dr. Cannestra and his entire staff were courteous and most helpful in every way. Saw Dr. Cannestra for shoulder pain. Dr. explained my problems and went over options. Was very impressed with all.

Total knee replacement had severe pain during phys therapy right after surgery with the home therapist, made an appointment, and told him. My sister had her friend, a retired ortho surgeon who told me I had a tear. I told this to Dr. Cannestro, Had pain for weeks, and told Dr. Cannestra. He ignored it. I showed him a video of my knee not tracking, he dismissed me. On my last visit, he asked if I wanted to have the surgery again. I find I have partial quadriceps rupture which could have been repaired if he had listened to me, but now it is too late. He does not listen to his patients.

Really liked my new Dr. He made me feel very comfortable with my knee problem and reassured Mr that it is OK.

First visit. They were referred to me by my primary physician. Staff is excellent. Dr. Cannestra was very informative and made me ready to go forward with my decision to have knee surgery. Looking forward to not limping around.

I had never met Dr. Cannestra before going to OrthoFirst at Fox Valley Orthopedics in Geneva 8/2/21 for pain in my hip & top of thigh. I have been treated at FVO for about 25 years for various joint pains. He reviewed X-rays and determined it wasn’t a hip problem. He sent me for X-rays on my back & diagnosed back issues. He listened, examined, questioned, diagnosed & explained. He prescribed physical therapy & Ibuprofen. Exactly the experience I had hoped for.

I have seen Dr. Cannestra for many years for various problems. He offers options for what can be done to solve a problem. When he sends you to PT, he fully expects you to do your exercises! Good sense of humor. Very caring doctor.

While another surgeon performed my knee replacement, Dr. Cannestra took over my case when the other physician retired. My 8 month post surgery visit was cordial and complete with several xrays taken.

The receptionist was not wearing a mask when I entered the office. She reluctantly put it on, but did not cover her nose. I did share this with the doctor. Another office staff member put hers on when I came out of the examination room. I was shocked that this would happen in a medical facility!

When I, being a first time patient, am left to wait over an hour, sitting in an exam room waiting for the doctor to come in. And no one thinks it is important to make me aware that the doctor is behind on his schedule. A gesture as simple as opening the door and letting me know this makes all the difference in whether I decide to be a continued patient. And furthermore, the doctor didn't even offer any apologies for my inconvenience in having waited over an hour past my original appointment time. Let me just say this, "You only have one time to make a good first impression". I would have to say that I was very disappointed. I will not be seeing him again. Dr Cannesta gets the job done. No if's ands or buts about it. I had a torn meniscus that I was dragging around for awhile. Finally went to Dr. C as a referral from a family member, and so glad I did.

Dr.Cannestra is the best surgeon that I’ve been associated with. I had surgery with another Doctor and had a lot of problems.He has done three surgeries on me and I’ve never had further problems.

Dr. Canestra has performed two knee operations for me and also a total shoulder replacement. I've been very pleased with the results of all three and I think he's an excellent surgeon.

After falling yesterday and hurting my kneecap, I went to therapy today and they immediately sent me to my surgeon, Dr. Cannestra. He was able to fit me in right away and took x-rays, and took excellent care of me. I'm very grateful, to him and his staff for seeing me on such short notice!

I always refer clients to Dr. Cannestra, when I was dealing with a Work Comp case, he wouldn’t give in to them. He was actually listening to what I was saying and took the time to explain things. Was very happy with Dr Cannestra and Fox Valley Orthopedics. He listened to my concerns, clearly laid out my options and made sure that I was part of the decision making process for the treatment of my shoulder. My original desire was to try a less invasive treatment but when I felt these were not working I agreed to an MRI. After receiving the results and conferring with Dr Cannestra I made the decision to opt for surgery. I was very pleased with the results and would highly recommend him. Dr. Cannestra is friendly and very caring. He answers all of your questions and is very truthful. After a total knee replacement I only had to do 3weeks of therapy but I was doing water exercises before my surgery. He is very good at what he does but you have to do your part to heal and do the daily exercises!

Yes and I did. He takes time to listen, he checks out what you tell him your problem is. He tell you his option.

Dr . Cannestra is fine. The PA I had never met- I had to ask her who she was as she was preparing my cortisone shot. She asked if I was allergic to adhesive, told me it might take a week for shot to work. Went home - that night I was feeling dizzy took my BP it was higher than usual. I have CAD with a stent. This was scary for me. The next day I called the office & was told it causes high BP for 48hours. Gee that would of been nice to know the day before! Great Doctor. Knee surgery was a snap. PT was fun. Highly recommend Dr. Cannestra. He is always a pleasure to meet with. Very concerned about my wellbeing.

Dr Cannestra listened well, provided a reasonable assessment, and created a plan of action. I am hopeful that when I see him again in 6 weeks condition of my knees and legs will be much improved. He is patient friendly as well as professional.
