Dr. Wayne Charles Furr

I got a Hysterectomy from Dr. Furr. He didn't go over my surgery with me prior to it happening...and when I woke up we barely spoke which I thought was odd. I experienced extreme complications and SEVERE pain after my surgery. 2 weeks after my surgery I decided to go in and see him because life was basically unbearable 24/7 at that point due to my symotoms... when I saw him I was barely able to hold myself up I was so malnourished and exhausted from not being able to eat or sleep. He didn't spend much time with me...no pelvic exam...no ultrasound, nothing. He told me everything seemed normal but to go to the ER if I felt it necessary. (Basically saying, I don't want to deal with you so go somewhere else) I ended up in the ER the next day with an infected tennis ball sized abcess in my abdomen that grew in the 2 weeks after my surgery. I had to stay in the hospital for 5 days and will be on antibiotics through a picc line for a month.he never called to ask if I was ok

I love Dr. Furr, he really takes the time to listen to his patients. I highly recommend him.

Dr Furr delivered both of my babies. My first came 6 weeks early, but his experience and expertise helped ensure her safe arrival. I got mild preeclampsia with my second so Dr Furr decided to induce at 38 weeks. My son’s heart rate started dropping badly towards the end of labor and it became a situation where an emergency C section might’ve been necessary had Dr Furr not had the experience and knowledge to get my son safely here fast.

I built a deck for Wayne and his wife, Vickie and am still owed thousands of dollars that they stiffed me on the balance. They also many liens on their home from unpaid construction debts. If they don't pay their contractors, what else goes unpaid? Sterilization services, taxes,employees, or anyone else that relies on being paid to survive. Hopefully sterilization is something that does get paid, for the sake of clients health and safety. Due to this large debt, I was forced to close my business and had unpaid employee wages. This is not someone I would want involved in such a personal part of my life. If this review is still up, the debt is still unpaid. Great experience.

I was transferred from Dr. Slocum to Dr. Furr and it was the worst transition. Not only was he not very informant, when I had very justified concerns he would brush them off. I was told that I would need biopsies every 3 months and after the second biopsy, I did not get a call on the results for over 5 weeks and I had to call him repeatedly to even get any information. Very uncaring and not even slightly compassionate.

He is the best gynecologist I have ever known. He is understanding professional and did an outstanding job of delivering and caring for me and my baby. We can't thank him enough. I continue to use his services and only trust Dr. Furr when it comes to women's anatomy.
