Wendy R. Silversmith

I was referred to Dr Silversmith directly and Coastal Medical by my PCP for chronic fatigue. They sent over everything needed and I was awaiting a call for a first appt. Problem is - that call never came through because this office lacks any tact or customer service. I called several weeks later to follow up and spoke with the new patient coordinator who told me Dr Silversmith received my referral, is taking new patients but had decided against me. I asked if they needed more information sent and they said they had everything they needed - just that they wouldn’t be taking me on as a patient and for me to look into another rheumatologist. I’m 37 and have never been treated like this from a practice. RUN.

I have been going to Dr. Silversmith for years now. She is the kindest Dr. I know. She listens to you, answers all questions, and really cares about your well being. Plus she is always smiling and friendly. Very knowledgeable about her specialty. She doesn’t rush you out of her office, and she is one of my favorite drs. (And unfortunately, I go to a few). I like that she is affiliated with Miriam Hospital, as one of the best places to be in RI. I wish I could give her more stars. She is just awesome! And I drive way over an hour to see her and it’s worth it.

I love Dr Silversmith. She has been my Dr for a decade or more. When no one else could figure out my issues, she actually discovered it immediately! And then I began to feel so much better!!!! I continue to see her every 4 months or more if necessary. I would not go anywhere else! You will be more than comfortable, treated kindly, and treated completely!!!

I have seen Dr Silversmith for 10 years. I just love her, she is kind, always listens to me. She never rushes through an appt. She is extremely knowledgeable and goes over and above to help you feel better. She truly cares about me as an individual

I've been to good rheumatologists in different parts of the country. I can say without equivocation that Dr. Silversmith is head-and-shoulders above them all. Excellent, knowledgeable, caring, and professional. She is also a fine human being.

Dr. Silversmith always takes time to be diligent, explains everything to the patient, treats me with love and respect and is very sympathetic to my needs. As an RN I am a tough judge but she is ALWAYS there for me every time I call and my case is very complex. I often suggest my patients to see her. She is the Best doctor I have found for my Arthritis, mixed connective tissue disease, schleroderma, vasculitis and raynauds disease. Always treated with respect, and she listens to everything I have to say, always takes her time with me. SHE IS AWESOME!!

Dr. Silversmith is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the latest treatments available. But more importantly she is so kind and attentive. She takes her time to make sure I understand everything. She will never rush you. I sometimes feel like she knows how my pain feels as much as I do. That is the kind of Doctor she is. I feel so lucky to have her as my Rheumatologist.

Doctor Silversmith is the best. She has helped me more than I ever thought possible. Everyone in her office is always smiling!

Don't bother, tried to make an appointment and the receptionist was instructed not too unless they have lab and test results from primary care physician. Since I don't have one I was refused. Granted I have state insurance (no refferal needed) and all documents in my possession as ordered by my orthopedic physician. Move on to the next Dr/office! Office practices instilled by Dr. Silversmith are an abhorrence. The office staff refuses to speak to a patient without an ENTIRE medical record. Despite having a paper referral in hand they want access to all your PERSONAL 411. Once they have that and "accept" you as a patient, they put you on a cancellation list. In two months, I still haven't received a phone call. Clearly, she is not accepting new patients but wants to greedily have access to ALL new patients while the patient suffers.

I have seen Dr Silversmith over 9 years . I have found her very warm, empathetic and helpful with my fibromyalgia and arthritis. Her office seems well run and organized.

Terrible office staff and office was dirty. Very disorganized. They billed the wrong insurance company and sent me a bill (to the wrong address) when it was denied. Dr. D'Arcy was not helpful or pleasant. Find somewhere else.
