Fantastic staff. Excellent service. Typical wait time. I would recommend Dr. Tang and his staff to anyone. So much better than the Western town. I'm sure you know who I'm talking about.

I had a detached retina in my right eye. Dr Tang treated it successfully, and I now have substantially equal vision in both eyes.

Dr. Tang and his office staff are amazing. I am sorry i forgot to get the name, but when i call anytime (during office hours) they pickup immediately. When i leave a msg after office hours they call back immediately next biz day. Their level of service is very appreciated and its not very common now a days

I to use my lap top but there was not wi fi. this was a huge problem for me. I cannot understand why this big office has no wi fi.

I am extremely grateful to Dr. Tang and his wonderful staff for repairing a detached retina in my left eye. He is an excellent surgeon and is very dedicated to his patient. He provides a calming presence and is eager to answer any questions that you may have. I had a gas bubble implant at first but it was unable to reattach the retina. Dr. Tang pursued an alternative course of treatment by removal of the gas bubble and implanted an oil bubble instead. The oil bubble succeeded. It remained implanted for a few months and restored my vision. He removed it from my eye a few weeks ago and implanted a gas bubble as a precaution. The gas bubble will eventually dissipate from my eye. He is very caring for his patient. He always placed a call to me after each surgery to see how I was doing. Each follow up visit was well organized. His office is well run and is equipped with the latest technologies. I highly recommend Dr. Tang if you require eye surgery. He is the best around.

In 2014 unfortunately for me, I suffered a detached retina in my LEFT eye. However, fortunately for me, my Optometrist referred me to Dr William Tang. Dr Tang and his staff got me in for a early morning appointment and the following morning Dr Tang performed a surgery that corrected my detached retina. The care and professionalism extended to me was fantastic. I was scared, however Dr Tang assured me all would turn out well and it did ! Unfortunately, in December of 2021 I suffered a detached retina in my RIGHT eye ! I contacted Dr Tang and he requested I come in for an appointment immediately. Dr Tang diagnosed this second detachment in my other eye and got me in for surgery within a few days. This morning (April 11, 2022) - I have better than 20/20 vision in both eyes. I see crystal clear thanks to Dr Tang. I am an active outdoor person and enjoy photography and I owe a great deal of thanks and appreciation to Dr Tang and his caring staff for taking great care of me.

Dr. Tang and the staff at Retina Eye Care provide first rate care. I have been a patient for many years and have always received great care. Dr Tang explains everything clearly and takes care to help you make informed decisions. He also personally calls after procedures to ensure you are doing well. I highly recommend.

Great creds and patient ratings. Terrible bedside manner and I am more interested in the doctor's ability than his attitude. However, this doctor does NOT make an effort to connect on any level with his patients. He has so many people scheduled that there is standing room only in his waiting room and not enough seats. If you are elderly and need to sit, don't go here! He is brusque, very quick (runs from room to room while you wait) and rude. One has to wait a minimum of 2-3 hours to be seen as the signs warn that are posted. He did not answer any questions that I had that were out of his realm of the "retina" (Ex: I told him my eyes ached and he told me to see an optometrist). He asked if I was "stressed" when he asked me a question about a procedure that I couldn't remember a date for. No warm and fuzzy or even just patient and considerate here!

Every time I arrive at my schedule appointment I am created with total respect. The assistants in the office always treated me with respect along with the politeness in answering my questions that I may throw at them Dr. William Tang is the ultimate professional in knowledge and procedures he bestows on you. Dr. Tang has been treating me for about 5 years and of course when I go there, I have a bit of tension before the visit. Three years ago I suffered with a detached retina. I was referred to Dr. Tang and it was a great referal. He performed surgery on my damaged retina and has been following my progress ever since. Dr. Tang treated retina tears in both of my eyes. I was able to get appointments with Dr. Tang easily and quickly. Dr. Tang explained the issue and the treatment options very clearly and I felt comfortable understanding the procedure and possible outcomes. The rest of the staff in Dr. Tang’s practice are very professional. I would recommend Dr. Tang and his team to anyone, particularly anyone with symptoms I had (floaters and blurred vision).

I went to Dr. Tang with a retinal detachment issue. After doing a consult, taking pictures and realizing the severity of my condition, he scheduled an emergency surgery for the next day. He was very detailed explaining what I should expect before, during and after surgery. He gave me clear instructions about what to do after surgery, making sure I totally understood everything. The surgery went very well. He saw me the next day at his office, prescribed the needed eye drops for my recovery. Subsequently, he scheduled appointments for the week after and following three biweekly visits. Seven weeks later I am able to see well expecting to have a better vision as time progresses. I would recommend Dr. Tang to anyone with a serious eye issue. He is a wonderful eye surgeon.

I came to Dr. Tang after my optometrist identified a torn retina requiring immediate treatment. That was a few years ago. The tear was laser repaired and since then all has been well. During my several regular follow-ups, I've been very impressed with Dr. Tang and his technical and office staff - all very professional. Dr. Tang's expertise and energy always impress me - he's a no nonsense guy but personable, too.

Each visit to Dr. Tang renews my confidence in his knowledge, skill and professionalism. Since my first visit in 2019 with a badly detached retina, Dr. Tang has provided me with top notch consultative and surgical care. His communication style is very fast, accurate and precise. He may come across as abrupt at times but it is because he cares so much about getting every detail of patient care exactly right. I particularly appreciate that Dr. Tang has always been honest and direct in explaining to me the gravity of my eye problems and the risks associated with treatment decisions (such as different laser and surgical options). Dr. Tang has also made a point of putting my mind at ease when I needlessly got stressed-out about lower-risk issues, while educating me as to the signs and symptoms to which I should pay attention.

I highly recommend Dr. Tang because he provided prompt treatment for my disease. He consults other ophthalmologists to provide the best care, which is smart when someone has a rare disease. When I have any vision changes, I can call and get another appointment the same day. Dr. Tang calls in prescriptions right away and answers questions when I call his office. He even calls to check in on me sometimes, which is helpful because I have lots of medications.

Could not be more satisfied! Always feel comfortable, safe, and cared for! The whole staff made my experience relaxing and expedient and will be referring other this office.

Despite his many degrees and years of experience, Dr. Tang was the rudest man I have ever met, never mind that he is a doctor. He talked over me, never allowed me to ask a question without a curt answer (If I got the chance to even ask a question at all) waited a long time until he came into the room to see me, and was actually had a very stressed manner when dealing with me. The man either needs to slow down his patient load, take a long vacation or the best recommendation, retire.

Dr. Tang is a true master of his profession. I am a single eye sighted man who by the grace of God am most grateful to have him in my path. He identified my retina detachment, diagnosed, thoroughly explained my vision problem and immediately performed emergency surgery within one hour that same afternoon. If not for Dr. Tangs expertise in his field of retina specialist, I would be blind now . He has reattached my one and only retina. I can see to drive, work, and maintain a normal life. He and his staff were very helpful and kind to my wife and I and maintained a clean office and exam rooms all practicing a safe social distancing environment with sanitizer and PPE. THANK YOU ALL

Hopefully my review will positively state how impressed I have been with Dr Tang and his helpful staff. After a surgery complication elsewhere, I was immediately referred to Dr Tang who saw me on that day & stayed late for a small repair & pressure release. While I am still healing and improving, after two weeks, Dr Tang continues with thorough examinations and answers all my questions with clarity. His prompt attention & follow up watching for infection (which included weekend ph checks) has reassured me that his care & expertise is of the highest quality.

I have been a patient for several years and he is among the very best doctors I have ever worked with. I have diabetes and it has adversely affected my retinas. He was able to diagnose and treat the issue, and I saw progressive improvements in my vision. Frankly, I credit Dr. Tang as having saved my eyesight.

Met with Dr Tang after I had trouble seeing after an earlier surgery.. Was sent to Dr Tang by my eye Dr further care. Felt sincerely comfortable after he examined my left eye and he told me what his plan was then assured me he would do his best to help me see better... Thankful for his help and care.

Dr. Tang is an excellent doctor.

Dr. Tang moves at a fast pace. Yet I know he was extremely thorough in his examinations. I get summary of visit letters after an examination. I had a Covid related complication of my own doing and Dr Tang worked to find alternatives and called several times to check on my status including on a holiday. In the end he did the surgery and the process went very well. Virtually no post-op discomfort. Follow up visits were thorough to be sure the surgery was successful. An important consideration, I believe he really cares about his patients. I would confidently recommend him to anyone needing his expertise.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Tang to anyone. He saved my eyesight by re-attaching my retina 8 years ago. He is brilliant and really cares about his patients.

Having reached my 74th year 2020 was unique in many ways not readily evident. For me 2020 was the year of the doctors, all wonderful with some being exceedingly so. It started with a knee replacement in October of 2019. I then went to see my eye doctor who had been following me for cataracts. I subsequently had uneventful cataract surgery. Soon thereafter I complained of ‘floaters’ and a sharp disappearing bright light and was referred to Dr. Tang for a possible retinal tear. Following examination Dr. Tang assured me that I had no tear but then asked me about my history of heart disease as he saw plaque in my right eye. On Dr. Tang’s advice I had a follow up with ultrasound and it was discovered I had an 80% blockage in my right carotid. Within a week I had surgery to correct that. After talking with my surgeon it is my understanding that if Dr. Tang had missed that plaque I would be either dead or severely crippled from a stroke. I owe Dr. Tang my life.

Today I visited Dr. Tang, under Covid-19 restrictions and it was very smooth. The appointment was confirmed by text, which is very helpful and a telephone message, that is likely preferred by other users. So the instructions and the general processing was very smooth. I have to say that as the best Dr's tend to be busy for good reason, Covid has necessitated a reduction in the number of patients and we benefit by speedier service :-). Dr. Tang is v. professional, as are all his staff. He makes time to chat and answer questions. Over the years Dr. Tang has upgraded his equipment, he has always wanted the best tools, but is the same friendly person interested in you. He checks readings, clearly trying to ensure that he hasn't missed anything. I do recommend him, as Doctor and am very happy that he and his team have taken the trouble to stay open, serving us and keeping us safe and healthy.

Tang has the worst “bed-side manner” of a doctor ive ever seen. And I see a lot of doctors. He may be good at what he does but waiting 1.5 - 2 hours after your scheduled appointment time is ridiculous. No apology from him when I had to leave at 11:30 today after my appointment was at 9 because I had my final at 12. “Okay fine”.

Worst bedside manner of a doctor I’ve ever experienced. Over booked as one doctor wait time are always over an hour.

Impatient and poor bedside manner

Very efficiently run office which is a reflection of the doctor. After having some apprehension about my upcoming surgery Dr Tang took the time to meet with me a third time and layed my fears to rest. The results were a significant improvement in my vision.

My Ophthalmologist referred me to Dr. Tang because I had blurred vision. Dr. Tang discovered that I had several tears in my retina in both eyes. Dr Tang took care of the problem and I am very satisfied with the laser treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Tang, he goes above and beyond in terms of taking care of you.

My Ophthalmologist referred me to Dr. Tang due to loss of sight in one of my eyes. I was referred to additional specialists after my appointment with Dr. Tang and due to the urgency of my condition, he was able to expedite the timing of the appointments. I continue to be under the care of Dr. Tang. Dr. Tang and his team are professional and I would highly recommend them.

Earlier in my life, I had a detached retina. Dr. Tang saw me right away and performed surgery on my eye. Following the surgery, I knew that I could see, but the healing took time. This is normal. Dr. Tang was encouraging and supportive throughout this period. Fifteen years later, I still have my sight and never miss my yearly check up. When my husband was found to have a torn retina, I called Dr. Tang's office, and the next day the doctor performed laser surgery, We trust Dr. Tang 100%.

I've had several office visits from diagnosis, surgery and follow up and each visit was friendly, on time and professional. Dr. Tang and his office staff are very professional, courteous and expressive of their caring for their patients. Dr. Tang himself was upfront and honest in his interactions with me - and I felt very comfortable asking questions of him and interacting with him.

Dr. Tang might be a very competent doctor but he appears to schedule patients so tightly that he is so busy he does not have time to spend time with the patient. His "bedside manner" is poor. I went away today confused about my condition and I am a health professional.

Dr. tang has been my Dr. since he first started his practice. He has done many surgeries on my eyes over the years to save my eye sight. I cannot say enough good things about his talent and care of his patients. He goes above and beyond in caring for his patients!

Dr. Tang deals with stressful situations all day long (it is OK to lose a tooth - it is not OK to lose an eye) and does it brilliantly. His skills as a surgeon are impeccable, his attention to detail is impressive and his staff is highly organized and friendly. He saved my sight, for which he has my undying gratitude, and he could save yours one day.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tang's for over 17 years. I started seeing him for retinal tears and continue to see him. He's had to perform laser surgery several times. He's an AMAZING Doctor! I highly recommend him! He's extremely intelligent, knowledgeable and well versed in his field. He is detailed oriented, does a thorough exam, very trustworthy and answers all my questions. I drive 1.5 hours to see him and wouldn't hesitate to drive 1.5 more!
