Won Sohn

I have a chronic illness that makes me unable to walk, sit or stand when it shows up. I went to the Drs office to make an appointment since I live only 5 mins away and heard that he is a great Dr. The receptionist boldly told me that there are other drs in the area and I should go elsewhere. She won't even give me an appointment or check my insurance. Noone was in the office at the time and she clearly did not want to even help me in any way. I am so confused but luckily I got an appointment with another Dr one min away

has been taking care of my wife and i for a long time.very glad he has.really cares

Good doctor, horrible receptionist. Get her out of there

Dr. Sohn is passionate with his job. He is knowledgeable in his field. He takes his time to explain test result to me and patience to answer any questions I have. He is cheerful and punctual unlike other doctors I see which have to wait an hour or more to be seen. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful.

Dr. Sohn has been my doctor past 3yrs. I did my anual check ups and did gastroscopy. But today, I was so sick that I wanted to go see him and asked to fill out some fmla forms for my job. The receptionist lady gave me an appointment for 4:30. Around 4pm this lady calls me that they can't fill out this form because they never done it and dr. Sohn is not regular internist. ( but google say he is) She even told me to go find another dr as a primary and cancelled my appointment!! What kind of dr does this to their sick patient??? Receptionist lady claims that this is all from her manager not dr. Sohn. Whoever this manager is... this person needs more knowledge to be working in the medical field. All drs regardless of their specialist, they can do fmla paper works for their patients. That is part of their job!!! Not just making $$$. This manager puts bad reputation on Dr.Sohn. Dr. Sohn Won is a fantastic and professional doctor who truly embodies the values within the medical field. His passion for his work is indisputable. Not only is he an extraordinary doctor but also a notable scholar. When asked questions relating to one's respective health, Dr. Sohn gives an in-depth explanation and ensures that you leave with a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. Unfortunately, Dr. Sohn's practice is severely impeded and gate-guarded by his secretary. She was and possibly still is a caustic individual who infuses her own animosity towards patients. Backstory: Had to get basic health records for my job. Receptionist said she couldn't find them and I told her that I've been under Dr. Sohn's care for quite some time now. After mentioning how it doesn't make sense that my records weren't there, the receptionist snapped back in Korean saying some repugnant remarks in a rather nefarious manner. Fast forward quite some time now, I recently tried to book an appointment but was refused because my name was categorized as blacklisted in their system. Reiterating what was said prior: Dr. Sohn is truly an amazing professional. However, his rather lackluster receptionist(s) truly deter(s) his potential to share his passion with a wider patient population. TLDR: Amazing doctor. Abhorrent receptionist personalities. If you can get a consultation with Dr. Sohn, you'll want him as your primary but good luck getting past the gates. Dr. Sohn is caring and knowledgeable. He always takes time to explain every little details so I can clearly understand. I also like the fact that he often refers to recent study in medical journal and share them with me. I introduced him to my friends who have more severe health issues and they just love him. I have been going to dr shon for years, hes a wonderful dr which is very rare to find. He explains everything well and doesn't rush you out his office. The staff is awesome as well very polite and professional..

Simply the best GI Doc around

Dr. Sohn is very knowledgeable, caring, he doesn't mind taking time to explain all the details and answer all your questions. Plus, all his staffs are so nice, making you feel comfortable. The best doctor in town.

Called to set anappointment for the first time,was asked why am i coming, i told them my dr has moved and i need a local GI. And informed the receptionist that i have ibs, she said that is a special condition that must be seen by a specialist??? what but if he is a GI dr then i am seeing a specialist. She just wanted to get of the phone and i asked her can the dr call me so that i can explain what i have and set an appointment and she just hung up after telling me call another dr.
