Allison Oler

Dr. Allison Oler is an excellent physician - compassionate, skilled & a great listener She's been my primary doc for 13 years & has always fully addressed my questions & concerns. I'm confident in her treatment & advice. She explains why she recommends a particular course of treatment & discusses current best practices, pro & con. For good reason, she's been rated a "top-doc" in greater Philly. I'm lucky to have her as my primary care physician. Good doctors are in short supply and appts & their time scheduled with each patient is limited. Scheduling is beyond her control. I highly recommend Dr. Allison Oler.

I think Dr. Allison Oler is an outstanding physician who cares very much for her patients of all ages. I have always found her to listen attentively to everything I have said and, she always has great medical advice for me. I think I'm very lucky to have such a great doctor as Dr. Allison Oler. She has always given me excellent medical care and advice and other healthcare issue that matter and that are important to me. Every time I come to see Dr. Allison Oler for a healthcare check up or illness she always gives me the same excellent Doctor's care for a patient.

I have found Dr. Oler attentive and patient in explaining answers to my questions. She is efficient, and I recognize that sometimes she is feeling a bit rushed, but I always feel I get the time with her that I feel I need. I give her a high rating.

Dr. Oler is incompassionate toward her older patients. She ignores and overlooks them and their concerns. Very distant and should not be in the medical profession. On a scale of 1-10, she is less than 0.

Awesome doctor! Not warm and fuzzy but so knowledgeable. She knows exactly what resources, what tests are needed . I have been her patient for years thank God she never takes anything for granted. My surgery was a success because she knew who to send me to. Every year she is named as one of the top doctors in Pennsylvania .

I wanted to like her. She is obviously smart, well educated, and focuses on women’s health. But she has no bedside manner whatsoever and I believe that, for her, medicine is binary. She does not attend to the patient, just the patient’s symptoms. This is fine for annual check-ups, etc. but when the chips are down, you want your doctor to be involved in your care and concerned about you. She is not. This is a huge disappointment. I cannot recommend her and no longer go to her myself.

Dr Oler is the worst doctor I have ever had. She doesn't listen to patient concerns. She has completely blown off any ailment/concern I've mentioned to her. I told her some symptoms that I've been having (which were related to hyperthyroidism) and also told her that hyperthyroidism runs in my family (mother, brother, multiple cousins and aunts) and that I would like to have labs. She told me that because my blood work from two years ago looked fine, it didn't need to be do again.

Wrong diagnosis with severe consequences. She is an embarrassment to Penn, and I don't comprehend how she is employed as a physician.

Appears that Dr. Oler did listen to my symptoms and history. She didn't answer my concerned call about abnormal labs she ordered but instead emailed me 4 days after releasing labs AFTER she left for vacation to make a follow up visit but earliest I could get was one month out!! I went to another doctor with my Penn labs at MLHS that day who actually listened, actually looked at my Penn labs and came to a correct diagnosis, realized urgency and referred me to specialist within 3 days.
