Arthritis in my shoulder was making for a lot of sleepless nights and simple tasks like reaching for a glass in the cupboard or changing the station on my car radio were excruciatingly painful. After managing the pain for a couple of years, it was decided to go ahead with a full shoulder replacement. I write this, 5 months post surgery and couldn't be any more pleased with the results — a pain-free joint and increased range of motion. Every touch point, every person, I interacted with through Dr. Buss' office offered clear communication, professionalism and empathy. Happy to recommend them to you!

Dr. Buss is concerned with your health and listens really well. Dr. Buss repaired my Left Shoulder and it is doing great and he did my brothers shoulders (both shoulders) and his are doing great. I will and have recommended him to others. Thanks Doc.

I found Dr. Buss after an extensive search. Immediately after the accident that generated my need for shoulder replacement surgery, I went to another highly recommended surgeon but he started from the point that immediate surgery was the only course of action and had little time for my concerns. When I finally got to Dr. Buss he was the exact opposite, willing to listen to me and answer my questions. He started me with physical therapy although he warned me that eventually complete shoulder joint replacement surgery would be needed. But it would be when I was ready. When that time came he answered all my questions and I was well prepared. As important he sent me to a great physical therapist after the surgeries with the result that I have had a full recovery of both shoulders. It pays to go to the best.

As soon as Dr. Buss entered the room I knew he was the right doctor. That was in '98 with medium rotator tears in my right shoulder and in '99 with a massive tear in my left shoulder. I have been pain free after his surgeries ever since and this is 2020. I love the guy professionally and personally. Dave Nelson (Mpls/St Paul)

Dr Buss is the best in the business. My husband and I are both patients and highly recommend him.

Dr. Buss has successfully performed 3 surgeries on me and I could not be more please with the outcomes. Great surgeon and very personable.

I think Dr Buss is an excellent Surgeon. He is cautious, does not rush you into surgery, treats patients with respect. He listens well also. So if you need your elbow or shoulder evaluated...."get on the bus to Dr Buss!"

I saw Dr. Buss for a 2nd opinion after an Orthopedic surgeon had told me I needed a reverse total shoulder replacement. After reading my X Rays, Dr. Buss said we're going to start with a physical therapy program to see if we can avoid surgery, and if that doesn't work we'll see how much we can save to hopefully avoid replacement and a reversal would be way too limiting for the rest of your life. His approach and concern for you is amazing! He and his staff couldn't have been nicer!!

Dr. Buss performed total shoulder arthroplasty on each shoulder. Recovery time seemed quick. His choice of physical therapists was wonderful. Dr. Buss is very personable and listens to my concerns, asking astute questions. His care team is also knowledgeable and friendly.

Ow! Rotator cuff & associated muscle tears. After referral and extensive research, he's the best shoulder surgeon (per Consumer Reports' Consumer Checkbook rating of Dr.s by other Dr.s & patients, he has highest rating of ALL orthopedic surgeons in MSP). He and experienced well honed team did an excellent job on right shoulder surgery and recovery. I later needed left shoulder rotator cuff surgery and again they did an excellent job. For years he was the shoulder and elbow surgeon MN Twins.

I have recommended Dr.Bus many times since my 1st open shoulder repair in 1995. Since then I have had two more repairs, by Dr.Bus. First, the other shoulder, then the first repair let go, because I had been so active on it over the decade or longer time since the 1st repair. I am still similarly active, and with cross country skiing, cycling, and a daily strength workout. I would recommend Dr.Bus to anyone who has had a shoulder injury (as I have in the past).

I had a total shoulder replacement done in 12/14. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I awoke from surgery with no pain at all. The whole process was very easy and well worth it. My shoulder works and feels normal. I never thought you could have this done without pain, but I did. Thanks again Dr Buss

Dr. Buss is not only gifted with his knowledge he is also a genuine person who will not sugar coat your prognosis. I went to him with a life changing shoulder injury that left me without much hope of a positive outlook. He gave me hope and a new lease with my shoulder. He performed the Hail Mary of procedures and the results were off the chart!
