Terrific experience. Very well orchestrated. Impressed with the entire ordeal. In and out timeline was as predicted. After two weeks I am still waiting for the results.

Every time I call with a question they promptly answer. Dr. Utz saved my life I’m very greatfull for that.

Any time you first meet a new DR. Your not sure what your getting. DR. Utz came in the room and greeted me and my wife. Went over what he was going to do what small risks there may be. Then put his hand on my shoulder and said I will do every thing I can to fix this for you. With that my wife and I left knowing I was in great hands

The entire staff at Minnesota Urology is friendly and professional. Dr. Utz took time to be certain that I thoroughly understand his diagnosis including his analysis of my symptoms and test results. I saw Dr. Utz at Minnesota Urology for the second time. He was on time, very nice to work with, asked for my opinion, and listened to me. The staff were as nice and helpful as always.

I have been a client of Dr Utz for probably 3 decades. He is a top notch physician and I really feel comfortable with his bedside manner and expertise. The staff is always helpful and friendly.

Dr. Utze shared my PSA results and gave me the option of "staying the course" or not getting the injection until a future test, if needed. I opted to stay the course. He also suggested I take Prosteon to strengthen my bones. I was very satisfied with him as well as the staff!

Minnesota Urology is a great place for anything urinary tract related. Every time I have dealt with them they have been very professional and courteous. Dr Utz is a very talented and caring Dr and surgeon. My prostatectomy was a complex one due to previous sugeries and the resultant scar tissue and adhesions made a routine surgery more difficult. He found a way to perform my prostate surgery using the robotic method which saved me a lot of recovery time and associated pain. I have found DR. Utz to be an extremely competent physician and a great guy in general. I had a TURP about 5 years ago and my recovery was much easier than friends who have had the same procedure by other urologists. I would not see any other doc for urological issues!

I have been seeing Dr UTZ for many years. Ten years ago I had brachytherapy (seed radiation) for my prostate cancer following my PSA level rise. After several positive biopsies, Dr UTZ was very helpful in choosing the best therapy for me and the process. Dr UTZ has always given me the satisfaction of personal care.

I am extremely happy that I found Dr. Utz, he is simply the BEST! He is an expert in his field and has a significant amount of experience so you know you are get the best advice and treatment possible. I have been seeing Dr. Utz for over 19 yrs since my initial prostrate cancer was detected. Throughout the years, Dr. Utz has been compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough. Always has a kind word and willing to take however much time is needed for me to be completely comfortable with our treatment program. I feel I owe him my life.

The surgery and recovery went fine all according to Dr. Utz's description and I feel fine.

I saw Dr. Utz recently at the Edina Clinic. I had seen him several years ago, and I wanted him specifically again for what I thought was a new problem. My previous experience had been very favorable. After he understood my reason for being seen this time he asked me how the original problem was doing. He was very conversational and caring. He established a rapport with me right away seamlessly and made me feel comfortable. I felt very confident with him after he diagnosed my symptoms. He mentioned a medication I could take if I chose to do so, and offered to write a prescription if I wanted it. He also said that the medication would be of limited benefit, but he wanted me to be part of the decision-making process. His effort to work at our doctor-patient "partnership" made me feel like I made the right decision to be seen by him. I recommend him to anyone needing to see a urologist. 5 1/2 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma. He was calm and confident (extremely confident), professional voice when the wheels were falling of of my life. His work was impeccable. His staff is top notch. I owe him a dept of gratitude without him I likely wouldn't be here today.

Very arrogant! Empathy just isn’t there! If u challenge him he give you a quite mean look! Wouldn’t recommend him. Certainly couldn’t help me with my issue. Going elsewhere!

My husband has been a patient of Dr Utz's for over 10 years and sees him on a regular basis d/t cancer history. We both have only the utmost regard for him - his clinical skills and expertise, his professional manner and caring, compassionate bedside manner, his candid and honest approach to even very difficult issues. Dr Utz is the only doctor we have ever seen that made sure we fully understood what was wrong & how he was going to fix it in terms that we could understand. He was honest and prepared us for all scenarios. During all of our appointments, he is connected, he turns his chair to us, looks us straight in the eye & we talk. His bedside manner is thorough. I had a question after surgery once we got home & Dr Utz himself called me. He & his staff took excellent care of my husband and me.

I give the guy a 5. I like his manner and his concern for my overall health. He takes care of my father and my brothers. Referred me to a GP who is just as good. I just moved back to Mpls and came from a Urologist I liked - was worried I wouldn't find comparable. I would and have recommended Utz to others. He is tough to get into - a testament to his popularity.

Met with doctor and he reviewed my concern and decided to do cystoscopy.. At the end of the appointment he noted his observation confirmed I needed an operation for enlarged prostate.. He gave me a card to stop and see his receptionist to make an appointment. I received no warning of possible infections potential from the autoclaved scope. In 2 days right before a weekend I came down with flu like symptoms and dizziness,chills along with coordination issues. I got with septic infection.

Long time patient of Dr. Utz. However, on my last visit, I had an experience similar to that of Chaska. Inappropriate, unprofessional rant and very short-tempered. Not the behavior I have been used to. I'm looking for a new urologist.

He was the weekend fill in when my husband had cancer surgery. Not only did he think it was his decision to try to override the pain team and switch up my husband's pain meds, but he did so while ranting about immigrants, Somalis in particular. So rude and unprofessional.

Not helpful at all with my urology problem. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Rude almost. Seemed to only care about himself I hope no one else experience his poor practice in manners.
