Is not an inviting nor friendly office. And he is short with his patients on the phone or in person.

I have been seeing Dr. Cohen several chronic problems almost 26 consecutive years. He asks what I believe to be all the right questions on every visit. I take 4 medications, I am fully functional and do not feel medicated. I trust him to put me and my health concerns first and foremost. I could not imagine a better doctor and am grateful that I have him for my doctor.

People who answer the phones could be more understanding when a patient has a concern...

I would absolutely not recommend Dr. Cohen to anyone. He is a poor listener. I had very poor reactions to many of the medications he prescribed - some of which I'd been on before, but he pressured me to try again because he didn't believe that I'd had past adverse reactions - and when I would tell him about it, he would treat me as if I was noncompliant. Mentally I continued to decline in his care, and when ANOTHER doctor of mine asked me to ask him about a different type of medication, I was treated to a lecture about how a certain diagnosis is considered "stylish" these days. In the end, he cares more about getting you in and out of the office than actually helping, and if your particular health problems don't fit the mold, he's not going to help you.

He doesn’t make you wait. He is LOVELY. Run do not walk to book an appt. Anybody with a mental health issue would feel good if not better immediately on seeing him. Plus he is very thorough, exact with questions and truly listens. He’s also one of the stand up good guys. They’re the docs whose egos don’t knock you over - the truly humble people in life are impressive.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cohen for years. He put together a few medications that not only have saved my life, they have allowed me to function more than I dreamed possible. I completely trust Dr. Cohen to make good choices for me. He is kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.

I’ve been seeing doctor Cohen for around 10 years. I’ve struggled with mental health issues since I was a child, as well as trauma from other events. I’ve seen more therapists and doctors for my problems than I can remember, and Dr. Cohen is the only one who has actually helped me. I’m a difficult patient, but he has gotten me through my ups, downs, and spirals. I couldn’t recommend him enough. He works with you, and keeps thorough notes. On a side note, he is an awkward person, but it doesn’t affect how well he does his job. This review is written under an alias, as I take care to reduce my personal information footprint online. Dr. Cohenhas a quiet, demeanor but he is kind and listens to you, He mainly works on medicaations but in tandem with his colleagues to achieve your best results. I thoroughly recommend him for long term help.

I find Dr. Cohen to be extremely helpful in prescribing and monitoring my medications. He is caring and listens to what my needs are. I have been his patient for about 14 years and will continue to see him because we have a solid doctor-patient relationship.

Dr. Cohen was probably the rudest doctor I have ever interacted with, and I am an RN with 35 years of experience working in health care, including psychiatric hospitals. In the initial visit he would not let me speak or ask questions, and limited the interview to me answering his questions with several word responses. He had no advice on medication choices, absolutely no patience for obtaining a psychiatric history of any depth at all.
