How do I get a hold of this office ? I've called a few times and left messages. I am just trying to get a new patient appointment for my daughter...I was referred by our pediatrician and several others that Dr. Stager is the best..but I can't seem to even get anyone on the phone ??

I moved back to the Dallas area from New York in July 2021. I had had double vision for over 3 years and was wearing prism glasses. I first saw Dr. Stager in January 2022. He was the first ophthalmologist to tell me that surgery was available to fix the problem. My case required two procedures, but I have single vision now. Dr. Stager and his staff are top notch!

A great experience with Dr Stager who was highly recommended by my Ophthalmologist for his senior success rate with strabismus. I now have the best distance and reading vision I’ve had in 10 years. To have my depth perception back is awesome. Life changing vision restoration for driving, not to mention the confidence of knowing my eyes are straight and focused when speaking to others.

My 10-year old son had surgery about 2 weeks ago and the results are amazing already. Dr. Stager (and his team) have the best bedside manner and help you work through every step of the process. I would highly recommend him. I would also like to recommend the surgery center. The nurses there took such good care of my son. He didn't even get upset when they took him back. Thank you to everyone!

Excellent. Analyzed and determined the cause of my vision problem and initiated the plan for correcting this issue. Builds confidence quickly.

Be prepared to be hit by a bunch of fraudulent charges and be made to sign waivers under duress. I’ve never had to pay more than a small copay but here they will bill you the full amount and then some more. Stay away from here. There way better doctors in the area

Dr. Stager is an excellent doctor!!! He has seen my daughter since she was 18 months old (she's 17 now). We trust him completely! He provides thorough eye exams, answers all questions and is very calming to the patient. His staff is very professional and the office runs efficiently.

Fantastic office and staff. Doctor Stager is very knowledgeable and very professional. Having this procedure done fifty years ago I was very apprehensive to have it repeated, he assured me they have more up to date instruments and knowledge . What a relieve! Thank you dr. Stager

Dr. Stager it’s a wonderful doctor . Strait to the point gets his job done with confidence and greatest skill . Our little girl is autistic and he manage to evaluate her before surgery with less fuss from her and made her fill comfortable enough to get her evaluation done . The day of surgery same perfect experience in and out and all the staff so prepared and professional

Dr Stager is one of my favorite doctors. He explains everything and always leans toward conservative approach. The staff has been amazing through my eye journey.

Update 2021: I had a second surgery on my right eye to correct the same issue with the left. Of course Dr. Stager Jr. isthe same amazing and caring doctor he was in 2016. I am so grateful that he is diligent about making sure his patients are good. It's a 45 minute drive for me but "HE's worth it. *************************************************************************** He is amazing.... I had surgery in 2016 and it wasn't right. I have seen two other doctors who only tried to get me in some glasses. I saw him and right away he said he could help me! I am so relieved...I can't wait for surgery. Dr. Stager Jr. is a great practitioner. He is direct and to the point with an appropriate bedside manner. He is realistic and answers concerns and questions adequately. The wait is was not too long to be called back and quick once we were in the exam room! We had a bad experience with another Opthamologist prior to Stager so we are very thankful for this good experience. Would recommend!

I am very disappointed. I waited for several months to get an appt, and I drove about 3 hours with my two sons to go see Dr. Stager Jr. The wait time wasn’t long but the appt was way too quick (2 boys for about an hour with dilation). I felt super rushed. I was never told how much the appts would cost. I don’t know how he got my sons prescription but he never went through the different lens to get the clearest vision like what I have always seen when a person gets an eye exam. So I paid over $300 for my 7 year olds eye exam. He evaluated my other son but did not do a prescription so I paid another $300 basically for his evaluation. They told me they would reach out to me within a week to schedule a surgery date, but it’s been over a month and I have not heard from anyone from this clinic since. Overall, I paid over $600 for and eye exam and an evaluation. I will not be returning. I am very disappointed. Very difficult to get an appointment. They do not send out reminders to schedule annual appointments. Then there is a 4 month wait to be seen. They told me Dr Stager only has 3 appointment times daily for established patients. I am concerned my son may need a repeat surgery, and I was told that would likely be scheduled 6 months out. This office was a waste of time. I called two months ago for an eye appointment for my son and what was available was at the end of October. I took off work and had my son miss the morning of his school for no reason because when I showed up on time for my 9:30 appointment, the receptionist 1.) couldn’t pull my sons records, 2.) had my sons wrong birthdate, 2.) finally found my son’s information with my cell phone number but this office had the audacity to say my appointment wasn’t until mid-November. I am SO OUTRAGED right now because no one called me to advise this appointment change because I NEVER agreed to an appointment this far out when I called back in the end of August/early September. I saw this practice for Strabismus correction. The horizontal strabismus was not corrected and post-op I now have vertical strabismus. I consider the office staff unacceptably rude and the exam rushed. I could have probably accepted all that negativity if the surgery had been successful.

It was my post-op visit. Dr. Stager shares helpful information and prescribed post surgery rehab/exercises on eyes for coming weeks. The surgery went well and recovery process was fairly smooth. Dr. Stager provided sufficient information on surgery, thus, no surprise here. Special thanks to Office staffs who were very helpful and answered all my questions.

Dr. Stager was very knowledgeable and friendly! He knew right off the bat what was going on with our little one and gave us great information regarding it.

Jackson has been Dr Stager's patient for 13 years. He has always been so patient and spent time answering questions and going over treatment options. His staff is very helpful and friendly as well.

If you read the other reviews you might notice that more than a few 1 star reviews are due to insurance. If at all you may need help navigating that or need a form faxed in for your insurance, expect the most unwilling medical office I’ve ever experienced.

Very poor experience.. They are more worried about getting paid than taking care of my son. A very workable insurance issue turned into a one month delay in getting the appointment scheduled. I went to this Dr because of the generally good reviews. Not everyone is perfect.

Prompt, organized, great office staff, and Dr Stager Jr has a wonderfully calm presence. There were no surprises before, during or after surgery, everything was explained in detail. We are very pleased with the results of surgery at the 9th day post-op. Our family would highly recommend Dr Stager Jr for corrective strabismus surgery.

Dr. Stager Jr. is amazing. As an adult diagnosed with 4th Cranial Nerve Palsy, he reviewed my case and performed the surgery to correct my eye alignment. His office is very efficient and professional. I recommend him and his office for any services they can provide.

Dr. Luu and Dr. Stager are both great. Everyone in the office was very kind and explained everything well. We were able to get in fast, something was stuck in my 3 year olds eye. They were able to get him scheduled for surgery that same week after the attempt to remove in-office at my request didn't work. Everything went as smoothly as a surgery with a 3 year old could go, and I felt like we were in really good hands which is as good as surgeries for random rough housing freak accidents leading to foreign debris stuck on corneas gets. It wasn't like I didn't squirm and cry my eyes out over everything because I did, but they took care of everything and the communication was flawless and I felt like everyone was there for us. I went here as a kid for my strabismus, so I was glad to see he's treating adults as well when I realized I needed treatment again. I often find that I like a doctor but not the office staff, but that was not the case here! The office staff was amazing! They were efficient but also really kind and seemed to have an easy time in conversing with me and had a good sense of humor (I joke when I'm nervous!). I've never enjoyed interactions with office staff like I did here! Dr. Stager Jr. himself was also amazing. I was nervous because I knew that my appt. would likely lead to the decision of surgery (given my history of strabismus), but he was so calming. He was very clear about my options and what they would mean long term, but he didn't push me towards one or the other. I left feeling validated and confident in my decision of how to proceed. If you need strabismus treated as an adult or if your kid needs it, I highly recommend him, as I have positively experienced his practice as both. The visit was a follow up to my eye surgery back in December 2020. The staff was really professionally, safety conscious & friendly. I want to say that I am super happy with the results of my surgery & that Dr Stager did an awesome job! Thank you Dr Stager & Staff for taken such great care of me although I had my apprehensions to follow through with the surgery during this Covid 19 Pandemic.
