About Dr. Geeta Rajan
Reviews for Dr. Geeta Rajan
The staff are horrible, rude and acts and talk to you like you are there to beg.
Dr. Rajan and her staff were extremely attentive and helpful. She took her time with my diagnosis and explained everything well.
Have been very impressed and pleased with my visits to Dr. Rajan. She demonstrates a careful, knowledgeable, and systematic approach to diagnosing the problem and developing an appropriate treatment program. I appreciate she is a compassionate listener and does not hurry her patients. I have also found her staff to be friendly and willing to help with your needs. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Rajan if you are seeking an experienced and highly qualified neurologist.
dirty office, they never respond to phone calls or requests for information, unprofessional and doctor doesn't know what she's talking about ever

Dr. Rajan is very thorough and gives you information on expectations of recovery and analysis of condition. She is very kind and generous with her time in answering all my questions and concerns. I am glad I am fortunate to have her as my neurologist and grateful for her expertise and professional and personal kindness.
I wish I didn’t go to her when my bell’s palsy started. It is time sensitive problem and her treatment was very passive and she even didn’ t show up sometimes although as it was the only time to treat it.

Dr. Rajan is very knowledge and she prescribed the correct tests and diagnosis for my symptoms. I was referred my a family member and I would recommend her to all my friends and family. Also her office staff is excellent. Thanks for all your help
After two of my doctors recommended that I see a neurologist, I attempted to make an appointment with Dr. Rajan. I called her office and made an appointment. I was assured 3 times that they would hold the appointment for me. I contacted both of my doctors, and they both sent my records, including blood test, CT scan results. When I did not hear from Dr. Rajan’s office- as they assured me I would- I began calling her office. After two days of being put on hold for over 30 minutes, I was finally able to speak to someone. She informed me that I did not have an appointment that they only hold appointments for 24 hours - which is the opposite of my original conversation- and that they had not received my records. I contacted my doctors - all records had been sent three days before and all the contact - fax- numbers were correct. Obviously, I do not know anything about Dr. Rajan’s medical skills. However, I know that the office that she runs is inefficient and devoid of any human kindness.
Dr. Rajan is knowledgeable and she prescribed the correct tests and treatment plan. She also referred me to correct group at UT Southwestern. Getting an appointment with UTSW was difficult and D. Rajan's staff (Megan) was extremely helpful in ensuring my case was reviewed by the correct group and got me an their schedule. When we met with the UTSW specialist they had all the results and Dr. Rajan has completed all the required labs/tests so the specialist was able to focus on diagnosing my symptoms.
When someone calls you from the doctor office to confirm your referral and make an appointment with you. Then confirm your appointment a week before for your appointment. Then you get there on your appointment and you coming 30mins away to get to your appointment. To tell you the day of we don't take your insurance. When you already arrived at your appointment. Is not pleasing. I was really looking forward to to seeing this doctor. Not organized at all???? Dr. Rajan practically laughed at my concerns about cognitive issues I was having and told me to exercise more and do yoga. I do have an exercise routine but it is not vigorous - as I had to discontinue biking because I am so bad off cognitively some days that I get lost and my coordination is so bad that I fear injuring myself. She chuckled and said I wasn't going to fall and told me I was healthy. About 2 weeks later I was traveling and badly injured myself and had to be taken to the emergency room. I fell while walking for no reason, which she attributed to "clumsiness." The hospital out of state found inflammation on my brain that she could have caught and treated instead of laughing and telling me to do yoga. I'm canceling an upcoming appointment with Dr. Geeta Rajan and I'm unsettled to read a similar review that sounds almost identical to my own experience. Dr. Rajan also dismissed my concerns and thought they were funny. I get the impression she thought I was exaggerating and she also missed something critical with me that a better neurologist caught. Honestly don't waste your money - her bedside manner and arrogance alone are awful. How disappointing. I seldom become critical of people in general and doctors in particular. However in this case I feel compelled to do so! First, I have to say I have no idea if Dr Rajan is a good doctor or not. While I was told by her practice and my doctor she did accept my insurance I “FINALLY was able to talk to her office staff in person and found she does not. While that is disappointing I respect a doctor’s right to reject my Medicare Supplement through AARP and UnitedHealthCare. Second, I called the first time and got a person in her office. She asked what insurance I have and I told her where upon she asked me told hold. I did for around 7-8 minutes. I hung up and called again. The same voice did not ask anything she just said “please hold.” Over the next hour this happened 9 times with exactly the same result. I called another three times and was transferred to another line with the same result. By this time I was really upset. So I got her address and went to her office where upon I faced the same person. She was also the only person in the office. I was pleasant and showed my referral to her which she starred at for at least 45 seconds. The without looking at my insurance card which she had she told me the doctor does not accept my insurance. As I stated at the outset while disappointing I respect her right to refute my insurance. However the way I was treated is not acceptable. I must admit I unloaded on her telling her to have a spine and just tell people this. She does not need to play this silly, juvenile game. I told her to be professional and people will respect this. It was clear she has not experienced this much or at all. While I unloaded on her I was not threatening or holstile.. Just very very annoyed. I seldom become critical of people in general and doctors in particular. However in this case I feel compelled to do so! Dr. Rajan is such a great doctor!! Her staff is so sweet and professional!! I feel safe with them on my team because they are very careful and looking out for my best interest!!
She is totally negligent without monitoring her patients that are at risk, leave them for nurse practitioner to play with doses of medication on patient. So disappointed at her work ethics.
Do NOT come here. I wish I would have listened to the reviews before coming here. They will throw temporary medications at you and not look for underlying causes. Not to mention they aren't very knowledgeable for neurologists. You will see Doctor Rajan one time for your initial appointment and then never again. It will be nurse practitioners and other people who don't know what they are doing after that. They will just keep prescribing you depression medications that will basically numb you. On top of all of this, the Nurse practitioner and front office ladies had the nerve to laugh at symptoms I was experiencing when I called to follow up about a visit. Go to UTSW Neurology instead. Trust me. For your own good. They are much better and actually care about making their patients better. Funny how UTSW actually acknowledged the same symptoms that this doctor laughed at and said they were common for people with my condition. Do NOT come here. Dr. Rajan has always been such a great neurologist for me. Always a pleasure to see and the staff there is always great. Meghan is always helpful.
I would like to highly recommend Dr. Rajan for those seeking treatment for stroke, dementia or neurocognitive impairment. My father has had 3 strokes. Following his last stroke in early 2015, he was treated by Dr. Rajan at Presby Plano. Since that time, my father has been under Dr. Rajan's care for routine follow up visits, medication changes, testing and most recently with her help, my father was accepted into a retired NFL player plan that will cover all of his care related to his dementia as it progresses. I could not have accomplished this without her help and the "team" approach of her and her wonderful staff. I highly recommend Dr. Geeta Rajan and thank her for her years of care of my father. Dr. Rajan has been my Neurologist for 8 years now. She had been very knowledge of her field and answer every questions, concerns that I had on all my visits. On some occasions, my symptom got worse, she was there to guided me; not mention her staffs was very friendly. I highly recommended her.
I must say, especially in the wake of the negative reviews I have read, that my experience here with Dr. Rajan and her staff has been completely different. I have found her to be generous with her time, empathetic and genuinely interested in my healing. I feel as though I was properly diagnosed and referred for surgery appropriately. There is no question that she is an expert in her field, and any who are referred here to her can look forward to a high quality of care. I have definitely had a 5-Star experience. I would give her perfect 10 ! Doctor with warm heart and true passion for her career and patients. I have known her as a neurologist for more than 10 years. I was always impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. Her staff is always cheerful & smiling. Dr Rajan goes out of her way to find what's best for her patients. Spends valuable time with each patient to take care of their needs that may sometime put her little bit behind her schedule. Dr. Rajan is an exceptional doctor. She has treated my entire family. She is always very cheerful and patient and takes the time to answer all our questions. She is thorough in her diagnosis which makes us feel confident in the treatment she recommends. To top this, she is one of the most caring doctors I have seen. Her staff is very friendly too and efficient in scheduling appointments and follow up procedures. I highly recommend her!
Dr. Rajan and her staff have always been professional and knowledgeable. I have been a patient of hers for three years now and she has been right on point every visit. I have never felt rushed and Dr. Rajan always seems genuinely concerned about my well being.
I have been coming to her office for several years now. She is clearly on of the finest doctors that I know. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I have noticed that the google reviews are either five stars are one star. I can not imagine that the one star reviews anything but scams by internet troll trying to sell reputation improvement.

I've found the Dr. Rajan doesn't mess around with your healthcare. She put together an aggressive plan for me to find the cause of my headaches. Because of her and the plan we found items that other specialist missed. She has also hired a few new staff members who actually know how to talk to people.

My husband has been seeing Dr. Rajan and her P.A.'s for 10 years now. They always respond quickly to any of our needs, are very knowledgeable and his seizures are very controlled. Meghan is wonderful too!!
I have not met the doctor, she might be a good one! But the office staff messed up my appointment after talking to them for three times before the appointment. I was having vertigo, asked a friend to drive me, recommended by my PCP and still the office had no courtesy to see me after all the Insurence verification! Very disappointed! Dr. Rajan should look into this kind of matter and make improvements in her office. No apology call afterwards...... worse customer service!
What a Godsend Dr. Rajan is -- because of her, our hopes for healing have been raised immensely! She spent 50 minutes with my wife today, acting as though she had no other patients to care for. Dr. Rajan was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Within the first 20 minutes, she explained exactly why and what my wife had been experiencing (in the way of symptoms). What a talented doctor! Everyone should strongly consider Dr. Rajan as their Neurolgist. Thank you, Dr. Rajan!!!

There was another patients vomit on the pillow in the exam room. They replaced the paper cover, and vomit was leaking through it. It was there the entire time I was. The doctor suggested botox injections for my neurospasticity. That was a huge red flag. Botox is amongst the last resorts for my condition. There are several other things worth trying before going for expensive and dangerous botox, almost none of which had been tried. But then she also said I have a low pain tolerance. So, which is it? Is my neurospasticity so severe that we need to skip all the standard treatments and jump straight to botox, or do I have a low pain tolerance? Because it can't be both. Most likely the answer is that she makes her money on botox injections. There was another patients vomit on the pillow in the exam room. This review is directed towards the Admin that answered the phone. I asked if their office was accepting any new patients. She promptly responds back with the question what insurance does my mom have. I told I didn't know at the moment and asked again if she had any openings for new patients. She pauses and then says no. Odd. Why did she not just say NO to begin with. And to end the conversation, she giggles and then hangs up. Would have loved to see this doctor. I've been with Dr. Rajan for 3 years or so. But no more after today. Things have been building up over time. A) I saw Dr. Rajan only once, on my first visit. B) Since then I've been seen by 3 others people. I'm not sure if they are physician assistants or nurse practitioners. C) As someone trying to take the least amount of medication, I told the doctors this. The moment I was able to stop taking a medication, they prescribed me another, even when I said I didn't want it and would not take it. D) THEN today I called to have prescriptions refilled and talk with Tina. Tina came out of the gate as a very rude and pious individual who kept lecturing me on my behavior. All because I have missed one appointment. One. Over the course of years. She then said I would need to wait over a month for the refills, since I needed to see the doctor and they were on vacation for over a month. So all in all, go to literally ANY OTHER DOCTOR. I wish I could give Zero stars. I've been with Dr. Rajan for 3 years or so. But no more after today. Incredibly rude staff. Shockingly so for those calling in with severe pain. I was hung up on by Tina because I was told I was being rude. Well, I was certainly upset at being lectured by Tina over every single thing I brought up to her. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone for anything.

I would leave 0 stars if that was an option. The staff is rude and unhelpful. The office smells - which is horrible for people who suffer from migraines. And after suffering from seizures for months - with no course of action from her and her PA but expensive tests - I was told that they can't just keep "chasing this down." That is their job! Unprofessional and unacceptable for a so called medical professional.

I wouldn't recommend her. She is not bad as PA and office stuff. They are the worst possible combination. I am never going back to that office again.

Dr. Rajan is very compassionate, and knowledgeable about many things. I have seen her multiple times, and she is very attentive with her patients. She was able to see me quickly, spent a considerable amount of time with me and reviewed all of my records with me to figure out our next course of action. The level of care i receive from Dr. Rajan is top notch. I cannot recommend her highly enough, and I have referred multiple people to her office. Her approach to healthcare is unmatched.

My mother was using Dr Rajan for dementia. After taking over her health care needs I quickly quit going due to the fact she would bill insurance $300 to write a prescription and take her blood pressure knowing the medication would never change. Then her staff is extremely difficult to work with and they are very rude. That was a big reason of changing doctors and now receiving a run around just faxing her medical records to a different dr that's still not done after a week.
She was the first doctor to help find the answer and treat me for my issues. Other doctors and hospitals just gave me the run around. I am blessed to have her as my doctor. She has been extremely helpful. I love her staff and PA assistant. Without her I would still be seeking help for my fibromyalgia and other issues. Her office always helps me to fix any issues I have with my pharmacy. I will continue to go to her office for a long time.
Dr. Rajan was very patient and thorough with my mom, who has Alzheimer's. We were extremely pleased with the whole visit. Her staff was very efficient and friendly. She was very personable and kind to us.
Terrible bedside manner and poor responsiveness to need. Conducted a bunch of expensive tests on me and prescribed medication that was ineffective. If you are seeing her in hopes of a positive outcome, I would strongly suggest switching to other neurologists in the area before you spend a lot of money for frustration in return.
My husband was referred to Dr Rajan by his PCP and we were able to get an appointment very quickly. She was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Office staff was efficient and helpful.

Dr. Rajan has terrible bedside manner and makes you feel stupid as she talks down to you like you are a 2-year-old. Her suggestion to deal with my anxiety was to hire a cook and hire a maid so you don't have to worry about that stuff, it's the best thing I ever did. Ok, well sorry doctor, but we're not all neurologists who can afford servants. She is ridiculous. I will never go back! Avoid her. She's a quack!!

I like this doctor very much, her office staff is inadequate, non professional, I have no idea if they relay any of the messages to the Doctor or PA. When I need help I do not want to be told the doctor can not help you after she told me that I needed to be monitored and I was on a very low dose of medication. You can not get through to the doctor and are dealing with inadequate office staff that have no idea, I do not know if the doctor gave them this responsibility but she did hire them.

I highly recommend to continue looking. Dr Geeta Rajan was the absolute worst. She should have her license removed and definitely makes plano neurology look bad. I can't give this review 0 stars or I would have. My mom had a stroke and went to see her to discuss her progress. She basically said nothing but bad things. Did not try to help AT ALL. My mom has been strong and motivated the whole time and she completely knocked her down. She is the worst and did not help at all. Worst mistake.
