Dr. Murphy and the entire team at M.O.S.T. are terrific. I had nothing but great professional care and understanding during my pre-op visits, surgery and post-op exam. Everything went smoothly throughout my hip replacement experience. Well done!

Dr Murphy provided Reassuring and practical information prior to surgery . Direct timely communication style was helpful especially when Dr Murphy needed to advocate for TKR surgery to insurance on my behalf. Surgery was successful and positive experience. Follow up appointment was also informative and helpful. Gabby -Assistant to Dr Murphy was also attentive and reassuring. Portal is inconsistent and a bit difficult to get information. Difficulty with getting preoperative testing shared with Dr Murphy prior to surgery. Not sure if this was my primary care provider, Dr office, or insurance communication glitches. It all worked out well.

Great service, excellent attention.

Dr. Murphy replied carefully and thoughtfully to all my inquiries and provided a helpful path forward to deal with my recuperation after knee replacement surgery.

Dr Murphy answered all my questions, and took the time to listen to my concerns. The staff was very helpful and Jack is awesome!

Dr. Murphy is an excellent professional, very successful in making the diagnoses and therapies of his patients. On time hi saved my left knee, and I had a successful post-op due to his proper management of it. Today I went back to his office for other concerns due to my age and again I got a good service from him. I just need him to speak a little bit more Spanish… Lol… Thank you again doctor, God bless you!

Metro Orthopedics is the best practice in the D.C. area; there is no where else I will go to deal with my injuries. Dr. Murphy saw me for a same day appointment when I unexpectedly injured my knee two days before a family trip. He was courteous, professional, and took the time to answer all my questions about potential outcomes. Knowing that I was on a time crunch, he even agreed to review my MRI on his day off to let me know if I was safe to go forward with my trip. Outstanding person and doctor.

It was the first time that I had ever been to the hospital here in Germantown Maryland for surgery I found the hospital staff to be very attentive and patient. I found Dr Murphy to have a calm and relaxed manner in his interaction with me. This was how the operation would go, this is what to expect and so on. Dr. Murphy was friendly. Explained all treatment option and pros and cons. Now, waiting for the surgery, will update the review after the surgery.

I came with pain to knee. They were able to break down scar tissue in knee. Now I’m able continue playing tennis at 4.0 level.

Front desk employees are the best , very welcoming and always very helpful. Dr. Murphy your kindness, sincere caring and concern make everything better.

Let me start from the front desk. Who’s working at the front desk all the girls there face is welcoming, vary friendly and professional. You don’t find many places like that. And my therapist Vincent and his assistant Jack are great and carried. The last one that Dr Douglas Murphy and his team as well they are great. Dr. Murphy is good. However, his office staff is another story. They don't seem to know what is going on, how telemedicine works, and tell you things just to get you off the phone.

Dr. Murphy responded to all my queries efficiently and with respect. I was extremely satisfied with my visit.

Dr Murphy was considerate, thorough, patient, and listening and answering all my questions and concerns frankly and precisely. I would recommend Dr Murphy to any anyone who needs a straight answer.

Repeated engagements .. this time he worked me in next day due to an injury which may affect upcoming knee surgery. He replaced my shoulder a few years ago ... excellent; I usually forget to mention it when filling out medical forms

This is a great practice. Dr. Murphy was very good to work with and it was easy to make an appointment after being seen in the ER 2 days before. I would highly recommend this office for your orthopedic needs.

Most saved my life from back surgery in the past.

Dr Murphy has performed surgery on both me and my wife .We are both very pleased with every aspect. We are very grateful for the care he provides.

Very personable, professional, efficient and obviously competent doctor who took time to explain the X-ray findings and explain treatment options. Inspired confidence and offered possible time frames for surgery.

I have known Dr. Murphy from my previous visits at different medical practices. He is very caring and knowledgeable.

Dr. Murphy was very patient with me, answering all of my many questions. He took X-rays at each subsequent appointment for my broken foot, made recommendations on how long to wait to start Physical Therapy altering it as the situation arose and changed. He also took extra time to come out to the lobby and meet with me following a PT appointment so I could get a prescription from him. And then at a follow-up after explaining my pain level , he gave me a different type of prescription that could work for my unique situation. He was recommended by my retired ortho, so I would recommend him to others. I've given a 4 solely because he has yet to know me very well as a patient, but I'm sure I will change my rating in the future. I've been seeing Dr. M. Now for over 3 months and he is still very good at answering my questions to my satisfaction (meaning that I sm able to understand it). I would recommend him for anything related to Orthopedic needs. I've upped the rating to 5 because even if I'm unhappy with the fact that my bone is healed slowly he's always been open to determining what the cause(s) is/are. Dr. Murphy is a kind and patient doctor who takes time to listen to your questions and to explain all of the possible treatment options. He recently performed surgery to fix my badly broken upper right arm (humerus fracture) and the outcome has been amazing. I only needed pain meds for two days and then ice for a couple of days after that. After only two weeks I am able to perform light tasks with my arm and hand. If you are in need of orthopedic care, I highly recommend Dr. Murphy.

I appreciated Dr. Murphy's advice and recommendations about how to salvage my planned hiking trip in spite of an injured knee. Was able to enjoy the trip!

Came back to Dr. Murphy to do my left partial knee replacement because of the great job he did 10 years ago on my right meniscus. I will probably need a partial or full right knee replacement down the the road, due to arthritis in joints. I would recommend him to anyone. Great job again Dr. Murphy. Thank you.

A very busy practice. Had to wait awhile to see Dr. Murphy. It was a follow up visit from last year as together we decided to delay surgery because of COVID-19. Dr. Murphy explained hip surgery in great detail, answered all my questions so that I understood them. Always a delight to see him.

On time and very attentive. I really enjoy the <10 minute waits before being seen at MOST.

The facility was very clean. The staff was courteous and informative. My wait time was minimal. Dr. Murphy precisely explained my condition and my options moving forward. I would highly recommend Metro to my family and friends.

All went well from my arrival to my departure. My check-in & check-out were perfect. Dr. Murphy was great as always, evaluating my progress, discussing my goals, and encouraging me. I was in & out in less than an hour & I’m feeling good about ramping up my fitness routine.

Dr. Murphy is a phenomenal doctor!! He performed knee surgery on my teenage son and the way he explained and prepared us for the procedure it made my son and I completely comfortable and confident the procedure would be a success.

I am very pleased with Dr. Murphy. He is an excellent surgeon. He explains all procedures and answers any questions and addresses any concerns I have. I have had three successful surgeries by Dr. Murphy and I highly recommend him.
