Dr. Eric W Amundson

Have been a patient of Dr. Amundson for several years. He seems to think highly of himself and ignores how the patient feels. I am searching for a new neurosurgeon now.

While being at the spine doctor I was scared it first I feel better now it's always a scary feeling going to a doctor out of town but I got good news I'm happy with that hope the pain stop that Dr.

Excellent, highly skilled, thorough, and professional doctor! Compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable nurse practitioner! Dr. Amundsen and his staff are amazing! I felt confident and comfortable throughout the surgery and recuperation period! I was under the care of an awesome team of professionals! Thank you!!!!!!

Dr Amundson stated my pain was all in my head since I have worsening pain since my microdiscectomy a month ago. I had a new MRI done before my visit today that showed I still had a significant herniated disc with nerve compression. Actually I had a broad based disc herniation and basically he performed the wrong surgery. I had a previous surgery done elsewhere on my back and only needed pain meds for 24 hrs. I do not like taking narcotics and now have to go to another surgeon to receive the correct procedure. I would definitely not recommend him! I only gave him 1 star because I had to pick between 1-5! Very nice and accommodating staff. Dr. stringer and Amundson spent plenty of time with me and were very friendly.

Dr. Amundson and staff was very nice and answered all questions. Doctor and staff made sure I was taken care of during surgery also. I would recommend Dr Eric Amundson to anyone

Dr. Amundson is an excellent surgeon, very professional, caring, direct, and kept me informed and answered all my questions before and after surgery.

I suffered from excruciating neck pain for several years. I went to several different doctors and they all told me they wouldn’t touch it. Someone had recommended Dr Amundson to me. Dr. Amundson and his nurse Jill were amazing. He took great care in covering all aspects of the procedure (before and after). I am blessed to have such a quilified surgeon.

Dr. Amundson always explained the reasons I was experiencing my problem and discomfort. I had to use a walker when I went to see Dr. Amundson. I could not put any weight on my right leg. He told me my options and why these options were needed to be considered and what the benefits each would bring. After some time it was decided I needed to have back surgery to resolve the problem. He explained everything that would be done during the surgery. The recovery time and any discomfort I may feel during recovery after surgery. However, after fusing L5 and S6 I NEVER had any discomfort. The surgery went great. I never took any prescription pain medication. I was up walking the next day. I had follow up calls checking on my condition. I visited the Dr' s office for follow up visits. All went well and continues.to do so. I had my surgery in November and 9 months later I am still doing great. I've just been ok'd to start playing golf again. I saw Dr. Admunson in 2011, after a nasty fall from scaffolding. He was very honest and gave me strict guidelines on recovery. Scheduled another appointment with him this year, for a follow up on my injury and again gave me some well needed advice and was thorough with my exam. His staff was very helpful in arranging payment with my insurance company and was delighted with my whole experience. I will keep him as my specialist through the rest of recovery. I have been treated courteously and professionally on every visit. I was very much impressed with Dr. Amundson. He explained everything clearly, with regards to my issue and what he could do to alleviate pain and get me on the road to a normal lifestyle. I felt like he was sincere in his interest in my case, and felt confident in the surgery procedure. He explained the possibility of any negative issues after the surgery. Dr. Amundson was very nice right off the bat. He was very thorough and asked questions about me. His plan of care so far has been right on track. I would definitely recommend him and his staff.

Terrific! Dr. Amundson was professional, compassionate, and understanding. He and his staff took every care to ensure my comfort and ease before, during, and after the procedure. Dianne was discreet and understanding in outlining payment. Vanessa was the very epitome of courtesy in calling to set up procedure. The nurses worked flawlessly together to provide care. Altogether, this team could not have been any better.

I've had an ongoing spine condition for 15 years and have been to many doctors, including several neurosurgeons. Unlike others, Dr. Amundson took the time to listen, and when it came to treatment, was very thorough with all possible options available. I felt that he was honest and cared about me and my situation. The outcome of my surgery was excellent. He was attentive while in the hospital and all visits since have been great. I would highly recommend.

Very positive experience. No surgery is fun however Dr Amundson and his staff are very organized and assessable. A binder is given way before surgery that prepares you and answers lots of questions so your home is prepared so you do not have to worry over that post surgery. The only negative thing I could say is the level of pain for my surgery was more than I had anticipated. But that was on my end. Would recommend very highly.

Have the up most respect for Dr Amundson and his team. They took very good care of me and were extremely nice and respectful to my wife while I was in surgery.

The lower back surgery I had,Most people are afraid. But the problems I was having. Trusting GOD first Knowing that HE worked though Dr Amundsen. I was not afraid. Everything went perfectly. I tried nonsurgical methods and steroid injections for my lower back pain, but none worked very well. My back pain worsened to the point where normal activity was affected and quality of life declined. My regular doctor referred me to Dr Amundson and I am so glad she did. He has a great bedside manner with a caring competent staff. The surgery went well. 4 months after surgery I am not on any pain medicine and have started physical therapy to build up my back strength. I would do it again.

Before I became a patient of Dr. Amundson, I recovered his patients after surgery. When I had to have my surgery, it was an easy choice who would take care of me. He is one of the best physicians I have had the privilege of working with and received care from. He is compassionate, kind and cares about his patients. He is a brilliant surgeon and a good man. I would recommend him to anyone. He saved my life and without him I would not be writing this review. I thank God for placing him in my life.

Started trying to see Dr. Amundson in Sept. 10, 2016 and was made an apt on Oct.22, 2016. He did his "Neuro exam 101" that day and ordered an additional MRI on my brain and cervical spine. Those MRIs were done and sent to him. All the MRIs and Doctor visits and test went over three thousand dollars. After Thanksgiving I called his office to see why I have not heard from them...begging his FNP to expedite my visit please because I am still in excruciating pain. Have not heard from them. ZERO

Worst experience with a doctor. Didn't want to listen when I tried to explain my pain and got an attitude when I tried to ask questions. Just because a doctor graduated from John Hopkins doesn't give him the right to treat patients they way he does.

This man is nothing but a JERK. My mother has been in constant pain in her back. Shy has cysts on her spine. She went and seen him and he treated her like she was dirt. Wouldn't listen to anything she had to say and told her to find a "happy" surgeon to do the surgery. It's taking everything in me not to call this spineless excuse of a man. I do not recommend him to anyone!
