Dr. Janssen is knowledgeable, experienced, compassionate and friendly. He has in place a great team that checks on you every day after surgery and has an outlet for you to ask questions and get answers the same day. You are in good hands with him and his team. I highly recommend him.

Super doctor who cares for his patients, shows them respect, gives them time, makes them feel important. I feel like I'm in good hands.

Thank you to all staff involved at Sports Med, especially in Dr. Jansen's office. All messages and questions were answered promptly. Paperwork was properly sent to all parties involved in my situation. Dr. Jansen was extremely professional and gave me thorough details of my injuries and future expectations.

I am happy with the procedure performed by Dr Janssen. During the initial consult he answered all my questions and took his time showing me the diagnostic scans and was very thorough. After the surgery I had very little pain. He communicated with my wife while I recovered and his office was in daily contact through the web portal. Plenty of information about care was provided and the office seems very proficient.

2nd complete knee replacement surgery (left knee this time around). Excellent bedside manner… thoroughly explained everything from pre through post surgery events. Dr. J’s staff has been above the bar in all facets of this journey as well.

Dr Janssen is very professional and I am so pleased with my surgical results. He has a great bedside manner and makes you feel at ease about the surgery.

Eric simply has the best doctor-patient manner I've seen. Takes his time to explain everything thoroughly. Will bring up x-ray's, MRI's and go over everything. Really good dude.

Being a nurse it can take a toll on your knees after 30 years. I went to Sportsmed and had x-rays of my knees and it turned out I needed 2 knee replacements. I had picked Dr Janssen as my surgeon because he’s one of the best! Thank you Dr Janssen for your professionalism, and expertise in making me 2 great knees!! I also want to mention his staff, very professional and caring!

Dr Janssen and his staff are excellent! I first saw Dr Janssen and his staff in 2014 for one of my knees. Eventually I had had to have both knees replaced. Recently I started having new pain in my shoulder. Just like with my knees, he showed me the x-rays and explained what I was looking at and what he saw and didn’t see. He always seems to have time to answer questions and explain things. He suggests and recommends but doesn’t push. I trust him and his staff.

All my visits have been very pleasant and helpful to solving my knee problem. My first knee problem occurred in 2015 with surgery in Hendersonville, NC. That surgery was successful but my doctor seemed arrogant and not patient-friendly. So I delayed having surgery on the second knee because I felt that there was a better knee surgeon somewhere else. Also I want to compliment all the physical therapy trainers I have had in my recovery process. Much more therapy has been given to me during my healing process. So much information on tips for recovery have been provided daily. No such care or advice had ever been provided to me during the NC surgery. I feel very good about my care team and my progress in my current surgery. I highly recommend my team of professionals to everyone needing complete knee surgery at Sports Med in Huntsville, AL.

Dr. Janssen, as usual, is a consumate professional i greatly apprecuate his kind attitude and expert attention.

Dr. Janssen has provided excellent care so far for my ACL reconstruction. I have been well informed throughout the process. At this point in my recovery I have no complaints and look forward to a full recovery.

Dr. Janssen has been absolutely wonderful. He has kept me fully informed and connected me to a full battery of resources, equipment and expertise with therapist, that will assure my surgical success.

Dr. Janssen is very pleasant. He took time to listen ,examine and explain the problems I have. Highly recommend him.

My experience with Dr. Jansen and his entire team have been great! He is very personable and takes the time to actually listen to you and to explain the options moving forward. His office staff and nurses are also very nice and professional and prompt. I trust them completely, which is a statement I do not take lightly.

During my consultation with Dr. Janssen, he was very kind and had a great personality. He discussed with me in great detail what my issue was while we looked at my MRI. He explained to me thoroughly what would take place during my procedure. Dr. Janssen's staff was very professional while assisting me. They explained the process of what I would need to do going forward in a warm and friendly manner. Upon the day of my scheduled surgery, I talked with Dr. Janssen once again during my prep (before the surgery) and he explained to me once again what would be done during the procedure. His staff that assisted me on this day were also very professional and kind (while trying to make me feel comfortable as much as possible). I would refer Dr. Janssen to anyone who is looking to have Orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Janssen had been treating my shoulder pain/labral tear for about a year now and was very kind and considerate as well as extremely knowledgeable. We tried PT (shoutout to the amazing staff at Madison Sportsmed), steroid injections, and ended up with surgery but he was always hands on and conservative with the surgical option which I very much appreciated. Definitely the only Dr I recommend

The overall experience of full knee replacement was FABULOUS! Basing my review on both shoulder replacements at a different BIG facility in Huntsville. Extremely personable before and after would highly recommend since it's been two years now and it feels great!

Every time I have an appointment or even before surgery Dr. Janssen has been right there answering all my questions. Everyone I have met in his office has been friendly and very helpful.

Very disappointed with the surgery outcome and post surgery response from Janssen. My wife went in for shoulder replacement surgery about 2 months ago. She was in pain and had limited motion in her arm,but had full use and feeling in her hand and fingers. After surgery, the pain has decreased some, however she has not gained any motion in her arm and has lost feeling and mobility in her hand. After intense physical therapy Janssen has told her she may not get the mobility back and that she may need neurological surgery on her arm. Janssen took no responsibility for this condition. There is always risk in surgery, but anticipating debilitating outcomes is not one of them. This surgeon messed up plain and simple. His post surgery response is arrogant and demeaning. Dr. Janssen did rotator cuff surgery on my husband, who is also a patient of his daughter, Dr. Kristina Donovan. The surgery went very well, and Dr. Janssen was on top of his care totally! He is a very caring doctor, and has a wonderful bedside manor. Would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Janssen! Not a doctor that just "keeps you coming back"; he wants his patients to be healthy and stay healthy!

Really listen to my issue. I am a Disabled Combat Veteran and seems I couldn't get any relief from talking with VA doctors. Dr. Janssen took the time to really listen and looked closer at my issue and explained it to me in detail. He found the medication that works for me, he was willing to take the extra steps to figure it out instead of just giving me a shot. I trust his judgement and his ability to look deeper at the issue and care about fixing his patients. Really listen to my issue. Dr. Janssen is very thorough. He takes the time to explain every step of the procedure. He is excellent at delivering information in laymen terms. His staff is excellent. They are very courteous and accommodating. Dr. Janssen and his staff are a great team. I highly recommend him.

Dr Janssen and his staff have been nothing but caring healthcare servants since I was referred to SportsMed in 2020. He listens to his patients and tries to understand from their perspective prior to giving any diagnosis. My shoulder impingement turned into rotator cuff tear and together we planned the journey forward. Although I am only 13 days post op, I am looking forward to the possibility of pain free shoulder moment in the very near future. He has checked in with me daily since my surgery asking the right questions and giving needed advice. FYI, I was told prior to my surgery by my bowling teammate that I had the best in Dr Janssen.

Dr. Janssen and his staff have been great to me over 10+ Years . Dr. has never been pushy to do surgery , always said I would know when ready. Managed to keep me going without the surgery until I just could not go any more. Surgery procedure went fine, was great to see a group all working together, a lot of team support. Dr. Janssen is the best!

After being told my knee popping out was in my head and not really happening by other doctors, I was finally taken seriously. Ended up needing surgery on my meniscus that detached itself somehow, but all is taking care of and hopefully my knee will stay in place from now on. Thank you.

I would definitely would recommend Dr. Janssen and staff for surgical procedures. Knee surgery is progressing well. Recommendation of PT is addressing recovery well. All my questions and concerns were addressed.

He genuinely cares about his patients and explains things where you understand. He makes you feel so comfortable like your his only patient. My visits have been so much more pleasant than I ever expected. He is very friendly and so is all his staff. 100% pleased!!

Excellent experience and care.

Dr. Janssen quickly AND accurately diagnosed my shoulder problem. He quickly ordered an MRI support his diagnosis and to fully evaluate the damage to my shoulder. Dr. Janssen scheduled surgery immediately. Surgery went without a hitch and am now well on the way for recovery. Thanks to Dr. Janssen skills and knowledge I will now be in almost no pain.
