Dr. Eric Richard Nelson

I had an eyelid lift and brow lift and I had great results. The office staff and assistants were great. When I want sure about something I just called and they would see me or even give me instructions on the phone. When I read other reviews I got a little nervous. His bedside manner is matter of fact. But I want someone who does an excellent job. I love my results and I can see again!

I’m very happy with how my eye surgery turned out. Dr Nelson has a very reassuring demeanor and is a very trustworthy surgeon. I would highly recommend him for upper and lower lid surgery.

I highly recommend Dr Nelson. I had real hooded eyelids and had my surgery yesterday. Firt time walking into the surgery center in Edina I was treated so kind, the staff are all very professional. Met with Dr Nelson and we once went over the surgery process. I absolutely Love Dr Nelson. He even called me last night to see how I was doing. I was so happy. He is such a kind and gentle doctor. He is highly recommended by former patients that I have spoken with about him. His work is superb. If I were to have any further eye repair, I would insist on him doing it.

Very caring, took time with me. Call my family while I was still in the surgery room. Nurses called too. Had surgery on Friday and he called me Monday to check on me. One of the nurses called too.

Very happy with not only Dr. Nelson's great skills and expertise, but also the entire group (his office nurses, surgery team, post-op nurses!!) Each person I encountered was very kind & caring! I had a good experience & I'm very relieved to have an eyelid that works!!

he is wonderful! very nice and mild mannered. He has great surgical skills. I had a horrible tumor in my eye very difficult for the U doctors even to operate on and they wanted to remove my eye but thanks to Dr Nelson I kept my vision and had the tumor removed safely! thank you Dr Nelson

Dr. Nelson correctly diagnosed breast cancer that had spread to one of my eye orbits. A very rare occurrence. I am certain many other ophthalmologists would be likely to miss this since it is so unusual. I am grateful that he was not one of them.

My eyes have been painful, dry, scratchy and worse vision since my surgery on eyelids almost three years ago. They also look awful. I have bad scars. Dr. Nelson was uncaring about my complaints. I regret having this surgery.

I had cancer on my eyelid and had to have a good part of it removed. Dr. Nelson put it all back together so well that no one can tell, not even me! The people on Dr.Nelson's staff were all very friendly and kind and the surgery team at Southdale was the best. I could not give a higher recommendation for Dr. Nelson ! I am so thankful that he is so good at what he does!

I had drooping lower eye lids, which caused me to leak tears all the time. It was a nuisance, especially when I was driving long distances. Dr. Nelson performed minor plastic surgery to bolster the eye lids and make them work better. I no longer have to wipe my eyes constantly to dry them. It's a big relief.

Dr. Nelson was recommended to me by a friend and I am very grateful. My total experience with him and his staff was excellent and I am delighted with the results of the surgery. My eyelids were drooping but I had no idea of how much peripheral vision I had lost as it happened gradually. But now I am delighted by how I look in the mirror (years younger) and by the huge field of view I am seeing. And the results are so perfectly natural no one has guessed I had work done.

A surgery for ptsosIs left me with one eye way too open and the other a bit droopy. With no choice he said he would fix it with a second surgery. At the last minute I had him do just the one that was too open (could not even close it all the way). Sure enough he left it so it would not open much! A third surgery finally made it better....not perfect but better. I would not recommend this surgeon!!

Dr Nelson did surgery on both eye lids, a few years ago and I couldn't believe the excellent results. Yesterday He changed the direction of a tear duct. He is courteous, as as his entire staff, and accurate in his surgeries, and does complete followup.
