Dr. George Wang

Dr was basically on time, greeted us with respect, evaluated the CAT scan and Cartorid Artery scan and gave full diagnostic with suggested follow-up tests. It all sounded fair, accurate, and positive to find out the specific problem and needed care. He did a nice exam of my body and reflexes and his NP gave all the other information requested. In summary, I was very skeptical after reading all the negative reviews, but very satisfied with his services.

The reason why the other 4 stars aren’t selected is because NO ONE EVER answers the phone. Any time I’ve ever been to the office there is no one in there so I know they aren’t busy. This is ridiculous. Trying to reach anyone in that office is impossible! Something has to change. If I can’t get ahold of my doctor or their assistant when I need them what’s the point of having them as my provider?? It's not possible for a doctor to be more incompetent and not be in prison.

Completely incompetent and lacking moral fiber. No matter what your health problem is he will send you to this fly by night physical therapy place which he owns.

He and his staff were amazing. Ive been to 6 different neurologists over the last 9 years. He is the only one who is ordering tests.

Horrible waste of time. The doctor I saw told me if the tests came back not showing anything, they'd do a different test. Had me make a follow up appt. I go back two weeks later and it's with a different person. She looks around for his notes and tells me it doesn't say anything about a different test!! Even worse- no lab results! dr. Wang's office is the "Jiffy Lube" of neurology. They spend very little time with patient. First, you have to -DEMAND- to see Dr. Wang, otherwise, he'd like his PA to review EEGs, brain monitoring, etc. Lazy. Dr. Wang's bedside manner is condescending and he moves very quickly, as if there are so many patients to see, however, his preference is for patients see the PA or MA. Lacking communication skills and I was very uncomfortable with what he was trying to tell me. Unfortunately I understood very little. When a person is worried in the first place, this is not at all comforting.

My 1st appt was on 3-12-2. I was told i needed a MRI. It took 5 weeks to g3t taken care of. Then I had a sleep st7dy done and was told i HAVE SEVERE sleep apnea and they would call in STAT for my CPAP machine since I could die from this. Its been 2 weeks! ???? And then I just received a call from Cpap company saying they just now got order and now need to wait for ins to Approve. This the worste experience I have ever had! I have had 2 visits with Dr. G. Wang MD. On my 1st visit he or his staff neglected to gather any history regarding seizures. I've never had a "typical" seizure before either. What did happen that prompted me to seek a Dr was I was walking across my room and I had this strange sensation start in the back of my neck or skull and then this blackness I can only describe as a black snow begin on the sides of my vision. Then every muscle in my body got stiff and rigid. I couldn't move or yell. I just stood there stiff and gripping a door handle for what seemed 30-45 seconds. I didn't fall on the floor or anything like that either. I never got to explain this episode to anyone in his office. No one bothered to ask if I ever had migraines (which I get with auras) or how I even how my sleep patterns are (considering he practice is a "sleep medicine" office too) He ordered an EEG and an MRI and said nothing more and left the room. Fast forward to my follow-up appointment to discuss the results of the EEG and MRI. Again, the only question asked of me, from the young lady, was there any changes to my current medication and my current weight. A little while later the Dr. comes in says my EEG was abnormal and MRI showed no tumors. Then he turns to the computer types something and tells me that he's doing a "sleep EEG" and walks out!! I wasn't given the opportunity to ask a single question or to even tell him about my history of migraines or the auras I've always had on and off since I was a kid. By the time the young lady returns to make another follow-up appointment, I'm in tears!! My anxiety has become worse and I still don't have any answers!! I have been a patient for over 15 years. These onestar google reviews say more about them than this highly trained and specialized and dedicated staff. This is a lifesaving, lifehealing clinic that has been there for me and surpassed exceedingly BEYOND my expectations every time.

Wonderful place! Staff is great! I’ve seen the PA twice now and both times she’s listened to my concerns and is very kind and compassionate and willing to help! If I could give more stars I would! I’ve seen a lot of neurologists in my past but these guys are one of the best! Very grateful to have found them since moving to Arizona!

I received a call from there office saying I had a appointment for Monday. I never made the appointment! I have not seen this doctor since 2009! They said they had a referral from my PCP. After I asked them who my PCP was I discovered it was BS. That PCP has not practice for over 5 years or more. DO NOT GO SEE THIS DR OR STAFF!

Terrible service. If you want kind and caring attention look elsewhere. My father has Alzheimer’s and when it came to a yearly exam the PA was very cold and unhelpful. This first visit I had trouble finding the office and their phone system doesn’t even allow you to speak with anyone so we walked around in 110 degree weather till we found it in the large medical plaza. (The directory has the wrong number on it). Second time I take him, I called several times in the morning to reschedule or inquire about the appointment and of course got no answer and no call back. I would leave a negative review if it were there. This office is a joke. He does test the absolute wrong way. I went and had them redone and totally different results. He’s got no bedside manner either. I have a degree in healthcare. I know how the test should be done and I know about bedside manner. I was a former educator on it for physicians including presenting nationally. He’s a great example in my next book I’m publishing on what not to do going to all the medical schools and my live presentations.

This physician just makes up diagnosis without even touching you or asking the appropriate questions. I have a medical background and I know what should and should not be done at appointments. If you don’t touch a patient then you can’t diagnosis appropriately or if you don’t ask where the pain is you can’t make a diagnosis. You did neither at my appointment. You are a fraud! A true fraud if a physician and should not have a license. I am reporting you to the medical board.

This was my initial visit hopng for a diagnosis and treatment of my complicated set of symptoms and I was delighted to meet a such a highly skilled neurologist. Dr Wang carefully listened to my history and documented every detail in theoffce visit report which I was given at the end of my visit. The physical exam was efficiently conducted, and he patiently listened and responded to my questions. I look forward to return visit for the testing he prescribed, and follow up treatment. After one visit I felt good that I could trust his knowledge and judgement.

This office is a fraud. Not only do they not know how to document, but they do not write down your diagnosis in your notes. Then they bill your insurance company anyway. The doctor does not touch you but writes in his reassessment a new diagnosis without even asking about your pain levels, where you hurt or anything. They do not even update your medications accurately. I would not recommend anyone ever go to this practice for anything. They even refuse to amend your medical records when you ask for them to be corrected in writing as allowed by law.

I'm 49yrs old and only recently had what was a seizure, where I couldn't move or scream but every muscle in my body flexed and became stiff. It seemed to have lasted 30-45 seconds but I don't know forsure. I was alone when this happened. Anyhow, on my 1st visit he neglected to gather a detailed history to see if I had ever had anything like that before. He came in and said "we do EEG and MRI" and walked out of the room. I was like," Ooookay?" 2nd visit and follow-up to EEG and MRI. He indicated I had an abnormal EEG and no tumor seen in MRI. He said my "brain is slow" . He ordered another "sleep EEG" and walked out of the room. I didn't have any time to ask questions or the opportunity to tell him about the lights I've seen in my vision on and off throughout my life which usually is followed by an intense pain on the left of my head behind my eye. Then my pharmacy calls me regarding a Rx he sent in which I'm allergic too!! I plan on finding another Dr!!

I would tell everyone, stay away from this doctor! I called in for a sleep medication refill I had been taking. Dr. Wong comes in and without talking to me or listening, he orders a sleep study and walks out. He is so cold and impersonal. Once I had the sleep study I was never called back to be given the results and was just left hanging. I finally made an appointment and went to my family care physician and got taken care of in one day. Two weeks later I still have not heard and finally his office calls me to see if I wanted to schedule a sleep study! Unbelievable??

From my call to set up the appointment I had a feeling that this might not be a doctors office I would recommend to my friends and family. Day of appointment I did not care for the check-in staff they lack sincere friendliness, lack of eye contact and rush the answers to your questions. when talking to you they are staring at their computer. As for Dr. Wang, I felt he rushed through the appointment, bedside manner, he lacks that big time. During my appointment he explained things to me like I knew what he was referring to. Hello, my chart should have told him I was a new patient. I had to ask him a couple of times " What is that? " as he was explaining in acronyms and test abbreviations. I felt he was getting irritated. I knew that I was never going back. One last thing. The offices do not return phone messages. I have left 3, not one has been returned.

Been with them for 14years. Back in 2015-2016 I had issues with beening hung up on and voicemail issues while they where updating their phones system. But other than that I haven't had any problems. I use the PA Kate Manie and I wouldn't give her up for nothing.

Everyone there is always so nice, they listen to whatever you need. The wait is never long. I've been going here for years and would never go anywhere else. Kate Maine is the main person I see and she's amazing.

Dr. Wang is treating my my dad and my stepmom. We love Dr. Wang. He is warm, kind, and has a good sense of humor. He always asks if we have any questions, and always takes time to explain things. I do not understand the negative reviews. Dr. Wang is wonderful. Our family would definitely recommend him.

My husband is about to loose his job because of this neurologist! It was such a pain to get anything accomplished with this office and when FMLA forms are requested, you better be ready to dig into your pockets! The FMLA was only good for 1 month! When my husband went for his follow up he was told that he still could not drive so this can't go to work! They told my husband to try his PCP for an extension because a month is all he could give! Are you serious? But you still report and have my husband unable to work?? The PCP told my husband that the neurologist would have to fill out the FMLA form, because they were the ones so involved in this! But guess what? They won't! DO NOT GO HERE. Waited six weeks to get tests done and for a follow-up. They messed up the scheduling, that was done six weeks prior, and was told that I messed up, that I was wrong. So I have been coming to Dr. Wong for many years. Dr.wong is great. But the way staff does not inform you of the Referral information until the day before your appointment is wrong. Also waiting months to tell you, you owe 65.00 dollars when you live on disability and that's your own Source of income. I'm so upset how the office does things. Also when you see Dr. Wong for a Nerve test he doesn't tell you what he has found. You have to wait to see his PA. I have found out that you have to be your own Advocate. It's getting worse that you have to do all the calling to get it done. I have called the office many time and lefted messages they don't check them. Absolute worst! Front office changes every few months and is completely incompetent and astonishingly rude. When scheduling an appt one time Janine asked me if a date was ok, while checking my calendar she scolded me threw the phone after just a few seconds and says "...um can you hurry up I have a patient in front of me..." Dr. Rabin, the associate at this practice, is one of the best doctors I've ever worked with.

George Wang has the nastiest attitude of any doctor I've ever encountered. He is completely incompetent. You should avoid him like the plague.

Dr Wang was great- and the technician that did my testing as well. The front office staff however, first- they booked an appointment for me and there was no appointment when I showed up. They got me in the next day, but then charged me up front the full amount my insurance pays, only for me to find out that I only owed a fraction of that. Now I have to track everything down and try and get my money back. The girl at the counter acted like she does that all the time. Disappointing.

Dr Rabin is awesome but office staff is not professional, not friendly and getting anyone to answer the phone is nearly impossible, as either disconnected after at least 10 to 20 minutes on hold or no one answers for days.

Dr. Wang was awesome. He took time to explain my conditions with me. However he's now retired. After thousands of dollars worth of tests and many new diagnosis I made sure to write down all of the questions that I had for the nurse practisioner at my next visit. She explained nothing to me and everytime I asked her a question she just kept saying "ummm..." And didn't actually answer any of the questions that I had. The only reason I'm this dissapointed is that I spent soooo much money trying to gain some answers. All I have are a ton of diagnosises and don't know what any of them are or how to treat them. At one point another NP told me I didn't have a diagnosis.. I started with dr. Wang in early July with major pressure in my head, so he did a bunch of test including sleep study & never did he have the chance to review my issues as far as next step to take , left me high & dry with no answer to my problem I have . besides all of this , when you call the office, it usually goes directly to voicemail & takes forever for them to call back if they ever do & that's rarely it.happens . It is impossible to get through to them by phone. No customer service at all. Took 5 weeks for them to get me CPAP machine, and I have now waited 5 weeks to get the pressure setting changed on the machine. Never a call back, no since of urgency, do not know procedures. Called the wrong provider for me, and I never heard back from them. Do not use this Dr. He and his staff are very unresponsive. I have now left another message. I will have to drive down there and insist this is taken care of.

I had a referral to see this doctor for a rare disorder, I've been calling for hours but ALL mailboxes are full. I was formally in medical, not sure how anyone can stay in business if no one can answer the phones. When I called the line for physicians, stating all the mailboxes are full, I was met with an aggressive woman that was condescending when I needed to know IF he treated my disease specific because with my experience with referral departments, they don't exactly ask if my very rare genetic disease is treated. I'm fed up with no care, driving around to countless doctors and hospitals who get their fee and tell me they can't help. For me, time is something I don't have and my condition can kill me, so I am serious when it comes to locating the right doctor as soon as possible. This office; just one of the same. Paid $280 out of pocket network provider fee for my second office visit. 3 hours past my scheduled appt., was sent on my way without receiving result's of imaging. My imaging was completed over 30 days ago?? Was promised a telephone call by a doctor yesterday or today. My neurologist of 8yrs retired and I'm onto my next specialists!!!

He kept me waiting a very long time with no other patients in the waiting room. He focused on trying to sell me on a sleep disorder (that I do not have) and a CPAP machine. His diagnosis was not accurate. His PA Kate however has a good bedside manner and in my opinion should be the doctor in that office.

Absolutely horrible experience seeing this doctor. Took my daughter to see if having seizures and he asked 9 times if she has seen a psychiatrist. 1st time was right after he introduced himself. We hadn't even discussed her illnesses or why she was seeing him. My daughter has been through enough with her illnesses. She doesn't need a Dr. like that. I personally do not like Dr Wang at all, but I'm in love with his NP Kate Maine. They have a poster up stating that you will never see the doctor for routine follow ups, so I never expected to see him more than one time. They haven't quite gotten everything under control but I'm a complex case, as I have a number of illnesses being treated with many medications that need to be balanced along with my migraines and tension headaches, and Kate works her butt off to try new medications and dosages to help me.
