I am looking for a good cardiologist for my mother. Most reviews are about the staff !! Really? Who cares about the staff? I just want a good cardiologist. People seem to care more about the staff than the cardiologist.

EXCELLENT Dr. He has been my husbands Dr. For over 12 years! Would recommend him to everyone!

Dr. Cohen has taken exemplary care of my 86 year old mom for the past seven years. He has a great bedside manner, treats my mom like you would want your mom to be treated, and is exceptionally intelligent and willing to explain all the medical interpretations of her care.

Not impressed at all. Spent about 5 minutes reviewing my info the nursing assistant had entered into the system, listened to my heart and lungs. My blood pressure was actually quite good that day in the office, however I explained to him that most evenings my blood pressure was quite high despite the medication I was taking. My heart is frequently racing and pounding quite hard. He said "Ok I won't make any changes to your meds and schedule you for some tests". However, after I asked what to do about my fluctuating blood pressures and feeling terrible most nights, he changed one of my meds (From labetolol to metoprolol) not even really even knowing how I would react to it, and prescribing me a 90 day supply. I took metoprolol for 3 days and my pulse tanked, so I stopped. I started myself back on the labetolol. Ended up a few days later in the ER due to blood pressure of 213/134 and heart rate at 143. 2 days later still waiting for a call back and having to wait another 3 weeks

Very cold, disinterested and practicing bad medicine (IMO). During my initial exam, he didn't even listen to my heart or lungs. I'd be very cautious entrusting him with my health.

I went in to see Dr Cohen to have a ablation done on my left leg. Both of my brothers had this done and told me it was nothing compared to what I have been thru in the past. When the Dr came in there was no hello how are you nothing just started sticking a needle in my leg. I kept saying it hurts so bad he never said a word. He stuck me nine times up my leg before he burned the vein. When he was done out the door he went. So rude never said one word as I am laying there with tears in my eyes. I had five more appointments and canceled them all. I would think ?? before going to this uncaring person.

No care or personality whatsoever. Dr. Cohen is a cold zombie. I was a number. Treatment was excruciatingly painful and he didn't care. Couldn't or wouldn't answer my questions. Maybe he wasn't smart enough to have the answers? This place is impersonal and uncaring. Only the techs showed some degree of care. Otherwise, patients are herded through this place like cattle. No thanks! Look around - there are other vein doctors/centers that are far more caring, knowledgeable and competent.

Updated review- I think the doctor is great- won't leave their practice despite their phone/wait things. Totally worth it for for the superior care I receive- I trust Dr Cohen completely (even with my life). I am feeling so much better!!

Incompetent. Pattern of being 1.5 hours late to work. Looked like he slept in his scrubs. Spent 10 min. with me as a new patient. Listened to my heart and lungs and pronounced me with exercise induced angina! Totally incorrect. Later, Echo results came back with four very leaky valves, enlarged aorta root, stiff heart and 6 other notable things! I was appalled that could happen.

Love Dr Berkowitz! Thank you for helping me with my health problems!

Been seeing Dr. Cohen for just over 4 years. Amazing Dr. Wait time is long occasionally, but if you need him to sit with you for an hour, he will. I am glad he gives that to all his patients.

I had an appointment today! The Staff at at Val Vista were friendly and very helpful. I had a situation and they went out of there way dug into their different boxes and helped me out for singles, lol. Thank you Colleen and Angela!! Then the people in then PET scan were Outstanding.. Thank 6

Dr Berkowitz is a very personable Dr. He made me very comfortable. He explained all procedures to me and his staff is excellent with scheduling further appointments. His staff is very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend him if you are in need of a cardiologist.

Due to an abnormal EKG, I was referred to Tri-City cardiology for an evaluation. After a short wait in a spacious waiting area, i was escorted to an examination room, where shortly, Dr.Josh Cohen introduced himself. He was friendly, even funny, and informative. After a short physical exam, he explained my EKG to me, and assured me that all was well. He was very professional, and i would recommend him highly. John Felsch

I personally love this doctor. I think its worth it to wait sometimes to have him. The staff said he is one of the best at their office. Dr Cohen makes me feel secure and I completely trust him. I also like that he is cautious with ordering tests and things. When I asked if I needed a specific test, he explained that we could (and I'm guessing he would get paid lots of $ for it), but that despite result in my specific case it wouldn't matter. I love that he was honest and didn't do it needlessly

Dr. Berkowitz is a handsome young man. On a serious note the staff is very professional, timely which is always a big issue at medical facilities. The key is when you're driving in around the South curve it's on your left.

I've found this doctor lazy and inefficient, trying to look good, but avoiding doing the care called for as recommended by other doctors, opinionated and apparently purposely unhelpful. Had to go to a new doctor, who did proper testing right away.

Does not follow through with patient health, no follow up. Does not respond to Insurance peer to peer review. Unresponsive.

He seemed attentive when you were not feeling good. Made sure to increase my dosage of medicine. However the concern should have been why is this patient feeling so badly, and keeps coming back! Doctor looked at my heart valve and decided that I was okay. Ended up with the valve quitting on me 6 months after my last visit with this doctor. An emergency visit to the ER, open heart surgery. Forty-five days in the hospital. Why did this doctor not know that I had Afib?

I was referred by my GP since I was occasionally experiencing chest pressure, sometimes radiating to the backs of both arms. Dr. Cohen didn't ask even one follow-up question, such as when it was happening how often, etc. Instead within a very few minutes he ordered a battery of tests including a PET scan. When his office was trying to schedule it at their cardiology center, I was informed the co-pay including injections would be over $1,000. No more symptoms after stopping medication.

I am a new patient of Dr Cohen since November 2015. 5 out of 5 appts and reschedules I was asked to wait well over an hour beyond my appt time. This is disrespectful and inconsiderate. He also didn't appear to be familiar with my history and appears to have misread possibly the urgency of some results of tests. I don't feel one bit of comfort in continuing to see this doctor and I Will Not Be!

My husband had an appointment and waited an hour and 45 minutes to be seen! This is inexcusable as far as I'm concerned. Dr. Cohen himself is a wonderful cardiologist but I won't be coming there and my husband is seriously considering another doctor. The office staff should CALL patients and let them know the doctor is running that far behind. To make people wait that long shows a real lack of consideration for patients.
