Dr. Jasen S Kobobel

This would of been my very first appointment with this office. If i could give this no stars i would i waited a week for this appointment for a dermatologist. They called me a day before my appointment and told me that they needed information for the family physician and i told them no i made a appointment for a dermatologist and they said 'oh no that is a different office in merritt island' The receptiveness are not very helpful and they are rude. When the merritt island office found out the rockledge office had made a mistake they never called to fix their mistake of cancelling my appointment they never offered me a new appointment until said something. Come to find out that Dr. Kobobel, is the family physician and the dermatologist all in one i would rather keep the two doctor separate because this is why his own receptiveness are confused.

I was looking for injectables in the area and drove past Dr. Kobobels's office and saw a sign. I popped in to ask some questions and was greeted by two very friendly front desk staff. The office is very cute inside, and super clean. They were able to get me an appointment for later in the day to see the Doctor. Dr. Kobobel is extremely friendly, polite, professional, and gentle. I didn't even feel the needle sticks, and he explained everything. I loved this office and this doctor is awesome. I consulted with him about several others procedures including laser hair removal, and IPL. Ignore the bad reviews, it is not the experience I received.

A doctor with a good bedside manner. He spoke to me in words I understood, addressed my concerns, and was through with explaining my issues. I would recommend this office, but it may be somewhat difficult to see him as he has more than one location. He is a horrible person who refuses to have his staff or patients wear a mask. When I said something about it, he sent me my file and told me to find another doctor. How is this being a decent person, let alone a healthcare provider? I am a healthcare provider and, I never treated my own patients with such a cavalier disrespectful manner. I thought about reporting him to the licensing board but, didn't and should've.

I only saw the doctor on my first visit. Every other visit was a physicians assistant. The nursing students that they use could not take my blood. They stuck me 6 times and did not know how to use a butterfly needle. When I was looking for a new Primary Care Physician I spent $20 copying all of my medical records for Dr Kobobel. When I finally had enough and decided to leave his practice I asked for my records back. His office staff told there would be a $20 charge for the CD. I said that I gave them paper records and informed me that they scanned those records to a CD and trashed the records that I gave them. So if I wanted my records there would be a $20 charge. So I turned around and left. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this practice. They are always advertising the newest sketchy procedures that are often not covered by your insurance so beware. If you like dealing with Physician Assistants then this is the practice for you. You have been warned.

I had just two visits with him. This doctor (or Dr. K as he introduced himself for brevity) said to me that I will be lucky if it will be a prostatitis in my case (at this time I had a urine tract infection) and if not then I will NEVER get rid of it, and I can only suppress this UTI. I find such a comment as coming from somebody who have no heart at all. And guess what, he was wrong, I did get rid of it. My urine culture tests are good (no bacteria registered) twice in a row. I asked a copy of my medical records from his office (for these two visits) and among his not carefully written comments I read to my surprise that he recommended for me to find cheaper medications. Why he wrote this ? The cost of medications was never discussed with him during the visits and my insurance had good coverage on the medications anyway. So I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

I thought Dr Kobobel was awesome. Very personable, and knowledgeable. He came recommended to me by a friend. After meeting him I have since recommended him to my family for a a PCP.

Dr. Kobobel is an excellent physician. His bedside manner is wonderful. He cared for my mother-in-law with patience and compassion. I really can't believe that people rate him any less than 5 stars. He is now her primary care physician because he is a great doctor who never makes you feel rushed.

I am baffled by some of the comments on this review site. My experience with Dr Kobobel was a great bedside manner and never felt rushed, great job explaining treatment and procedures. Staff is friendly. In and out with no hiccups, I have previously also used the walk in clinic prior to Dr Kobobel becoming my primary physician and was a excellent experience also. highly recommended

I have been under Dr. Kobobel's care for several year now. I had some bloodwork done a few weeks ago and went in for the review to discuss the results and refill my prescriptions. At the review Dr Kobobel was not present, (I haven't seen him in about 2 years), The staff booked me with a physicians assistant. During the review, as I have had before, he noted that my testosterone levels are low and I should go back on testosterone shots, but because its a narcotic and Dr. Kobobel is not in that he would need his signature on the prescription. He also noted that if the Dr were here that he would be able to write it out and have it signed and I would be on my way, but since he is not I would have to book another appointment and pay again to receive the prescription. I did so telling the staff that I will not pay for the same service twice and we agreed to show up at the appointment and it will be discussed. As I expected, they insisted on double dipping. On a previous appointment in Rockledge I had a 2:15 appointment time. I showed up at exactly 2:15 and waited for the 2 people in front of me to check in. I checked in at exactly 2:17 and was asked to leave for being late. Some of the staff are rude and I find that all are not caring and greedy. I called for an emergency appointment as an established patient. Was told to come in at 5:15 for a 5:45 appointment and when I arrived I was told I couldn’t be seen because they gave the slot away. After three years, I thought he was my doctor, someone who thought about me once in a while. They sent a paper letter, three months ago, that i never got and on the day of my prescriptions, I found out he canceled me. I found out that he said that I was no longer a patient. He did not say it, he had somebody else say it for him. Never one email or curtasy phone call. He knew how much pain i would be in because of my neuropathy. Seniors Beware of malpractice! My elderly mother was a patient for 9 yrs,with great insurance. This quack did nothing for her. She wound up in the hospital with blood sugar and heart problems that he never diagnosed. It could have killed her. This so called Dr. caters to a young female demographic wanting cosmetic procedures. Would not recommend to anyone. Should have his license revoked! Dr. Kobobel and his staff are TERRIFIC. In the midst of COV-19, they are wonderful, kind, considerate, and professional. The entire staff is outstanding, they all deserve gold stars and a heartfelt THANK ♥ YOU.

I am a patient a the Merritt Island location. The staff is professional caring and friendly. I have had great care. I had the most complete physical that I have ever had. I don't understand the negative reviews. I would recommend this practice.

The ultrasound technician didn't show up to my annual physical. So I had to make another appointment for today Then this morning the receptionist called to say the technician was "sick", and the appointment cancelled. She wanted me to make a 3rd appointment for tomorrow, but I refused. Very unprofessional.

This is the worst ran doctor's office I have ever been in, bar none. Getting a refill is the biggest hassle as there seems to be a complete and total lack of communication between their nurse station and the front desk despite the fact that they are literally 10ft away from each other. Most recently, I've contacted them 3 times and my pharmacist has sent the information over twice, still no refill. It is not like this is a bad day at the office or a one off. This literally happens each and every time you need a refill. Also, god forbid you need an insurance authorization because getting them to process it simply doesn't happen.

MI office Worst doctors experience I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life this doctor shouldn’t even be practicing in this area all his people do is piss off people doesn’t get your prescriptions filled. Called eight days straight to nurses never got a callback from anybody in their office eight days in a row. I talk to pharmacy next door people every day they said they hear complaints every day. It seems everyone wants to come here. I always get seen within 15 minutes and the staff is friendly and compassionate about my health concerns. I'm not just another number. I recommend Dr. K to anyone who is busy and wants to be taken seriously but hasn't forgotten how to be a GREAT DOCTOR!

Dr. Kobobel is one the finest doctors that I ever met. Very professional, spends time with the patient and explains everything in detail. He knows how to detect a problem and guide you to fix it. I would not trust any other family doctor for my needs and my family's.

Incompetent staff and only interested in the cash

My pharmacy sent in a refill request 5 days ago. I called the office also and I still have no refill. It's for blood pressure medicine which is pretty important. I just called their office again. They put me on hold for almost 15 minutes and then said there's no one that can help me now. They have no idea when I may get my refill called in to the pharmacy. I wish I could give less than one star and its purely from the treatment of the office staff. They have incorrectly billed my new insurance rather than my previous active insurance and now will not allow me to speak to a business office manager or billing and are withholding care and have now officially yelled at me and hung up the phone. I'm NOT allowed to speak to a manager, or my doctor. Nor allowed to seek care for an issue their office created. Its really truly disgusting and I would HIGHLY recommend anyone seeking primary care to go elsewhere. This is not about you as the patient. It is about your money and their lack of professionalism. I have been with this practice for the better part of 8+ years as they are extremely close to where I live. Today was the worst day I've had there with them and it was BAD. I was told to do fasting blood work done and I was there prior to 8am with a line of people (I was 3rd in line). They opened the office late and as we piled in to check in at the desk, I was signed in to get blood work done. I was told not even 24 hours earlier that I didn't need an appointment and to come right in at 8. I waited and waited and waiting as everyone before AND after me was seen and I kept asking what the problem was with one excuse after another. After a 45 minute wait, I was starting to feel the effects of the fasting. I needed to eat and take medication and kept informing the front desk of that. Finally. after being brought back the tech got an attitude with me because I was generally upset as I should be. He was the rudest person I have ever dealt with there. I had my blood drawn by another person b/c I was treated so poorly from this tech. Needless to say, I will get my results and I have made an appointment with another GP doctor. These people are the worst. They overbook themselves and then pass the attitude of that onto the patients. I will be back one more time to get my health records sent to someone else. Amazing physician and staff! Went to see him because he was on my health insurance plan. On my very first appt. , he took x ray of my lower back , diagnosed and treated my pain. All in one visit. Other Drs. wanted me to schedule appts for x-rays at facilities that take xrays then wait weeks to be rescheduled to review xrays. I have a busy schedule and with his practice its a one stop for everything. I wish I wouldn't have wasted time with other physicians. Very smart and caring! I had a very good experience with both the physician and his staff. Other physicians i have been too I have had to wait up to 2 hours. I only waited fifteen minutes to b e seen, had x-rays done, diagnosed and treated within an hour. Much happier going to this practice then others I've been too!

This is the most unprofessional practice I have ever encountered. I was prescribed medicine with a black box warning label on it. Within days, I had the serious side effects the drug is known to cause. I went back to this practice seeking care. I was verbally attacked, threatened, and told to leave the office immediately. The office manager stood at the door of the practice and yelled at me while I was sitting in my car telling me that she was going to call the police on me. (The police were never called, nor did they come.) Later, when I got a copy of my medical records, they had falsified my records saying that I had to be removed by the police for an outburst, but it was charted under a practitioner that I had not even seen. Upon closer inspection, they were also billing Medicare as well as my insurance. I don't even have Medicare! I reported them for this, and they had to drop the charges to Medicare. I referred several coworkers and friends to Dr. Jasen Kobobel because I felt he knew his stuff. I was very impressed with him and believe he is thorough. I even had some good experiences with his staff but somewhere along the line "incompetence is running rampant there". They take months to scan in your medical records, days to refill medication, weeks to call in a referral and they will tell you to come in asap for a walk in appointment scheduled hours later only to get there and be told it's not available. They can call for a survey on their service quicker than a medical referral or a refill. My concern is; in August my son needed a referral to a specialist, they told us if we don't hear anything in 5-days to call back. Called back once a week for 3-weeks to make sure it was sent. Finally demanded the name of the Doctor and contacted them myself only to find out they just received the referral a few days earlier. I stressed all along my son will be off my insurance by the end of the calendar year which "HF always screws that up too". My son needs to be seen ASAP to confirm or deny a serious illness. Going on week 2 for the referral office to set up the appointment, can't win!!! Dr. Kobobel is a very knowledgeable and a great doctor. I have been a patient of his for 6-7 years. He is very kind and has a wonderful bedside manner. And he has always been very innovative and up on all new medical technology and medicines. It is always a short wait time in his office and you aren't waiting for hours, to get in. Physician gave me wrong information about medication, then got angry at me for "not following medical advice. Went directly to another doctor's office from his office, and I would have hurt myself if I would have followed this advice. This office would not send my medical records to new doctor. Would not fill out insurance forms. Billed erroneously. Charged me for an office visit when I went in to try and get insurance forms filled out.

Yeah, was thinking about using this guy as a Primary care physician, until I looked him up and thought better of it. Any doctor who believes the political propaganda is questionable; any doctor who actually re-posts the stuff is not someone I want monitoring my health.

We like Dr Kobobel a lot. Most the time we can get same day appointments. Sometimes it might take two days. We get to see medical personal within 15 to 20 min. We use the Rockledge clinic and never had a problem. I get lab work anytime I walk in without making an appointment.

They do not call to give any test results, even an MRI showing a broken foot for example, they do not respond to multiple pharmacist request for refills, if you callnfor a rwfill, they will take a message but you will not hear back . I have been a patient for years chalking this up to "healthcare in FL" but there HAS to be better options...

Chances are when you go there you won't get the Dr but you'll get a student. It's hard to get them to answer the phone, they may answer but put you on hold without ever talking to you. They don't do blood work after 2:00 in the afternoon so it's not convenient for the working adult either. So, I would highly recommend it if you have time...time to be on hold, time to wait for results and time to take off work if blood work is needed.

I am very close to filing a complaint with the Florida Board of Medicine. Been trying for over a week calling every day to get them to complete authorization for my prescription. This has to be the worst practice I have ever dealt with.

Make an appointment to then wait 2hrs almost every time! They are understaffed and do not care. They are there to take walk ins and charge insurances / customers! This is just doctor kobobels little cash cow and retirement plan.
