Dr. John Eamon Mcgarry

It was Monday November 28th 2022, my family doctor referred me to Dr McGarry cuz my left shoulder gave up on me, I was in a horrible pain ever and the shoulder needed to be fix right away. Dr. McGarry made room for me to have a surgery on Friday December the 2nd… same week, he must’ve seeing my suffer that decided to act ASAP. I can’t thank enough to Dr McGarry and his team, they are the best team ever, I love them so much!

Dr. Mcgarry and his team are very professional and service oriented. I recommend then anytime.

In times when communication has become so robotic and impersonal, Dr. McGarry runs his practice the old fashioned way, along with the latest advances in medical technology and methods. His personal approach to his patients is comforting and leaves one with a sense of total confidence in times where one's health conditions can create stress and anxiety. Dr. McGarry delivered for me in a situation that required total knee replacement surgery. His pre-op and post-op attention and treatments has been nothing short of outstanding. Dr. McGarry is a strait shooter and provides patients with valuable information to make well informed decisions on how to proceed with patients cases given they're specific needs given they're individual situation and circumstances. I emphatically and highly recommend Dr. McGarry for anyone requiring orthopedic treatment.

Dr. McGarry has now repaired both my shoulders over the last 7 years, my left was this fall and i have had nothing but a great experience with Dr. McGarry and his staff. I highly recommend them.

His office is so organized, I’m impressed. There are many people helping me for my visit, but i didn’t have to wait long, they came right in after each service: the nurses, x-ray, technicians and Dr McGarry talked to me right to the point. I felt very comfortable and pleased.

As an avid/competitive Handball/Racquetball Player, and other “Knee Stress Related Sports” from my late Teens into my 60’s my knees took a beating, 8 years ago (2014) at 72 my knees were getting sore with an impact on my activities! Dr McGarry did a very through and personable evaluation and plan for treatment/recovery. A treatment “without” Surgery in 2016 made me good as “almost new”, ….I haven’t played many sports since, but I am an avid walker/traveler, getting ready to go do some real serious walking, so now here it is 2022 and I’m back for a “Tune Up”…..saw Dr. McGarry yesterday. While Surgery at “some point down the road” came up, the treatment yesterday has already made a difference! If you have a “Knee Problem”, I “HIGHLY” recommend not wasting time, and just make an appointment with Dr. McGarry!

He took the time to explain everything in great detail and made me feel confident in any surgical procedure that I have he will be able to take care of it. He was very professional, easy to talk to, and had a good bedside manner.

Fast. Efficient. Helpful.

Total left knee replacement- spent one night in the hospital, home the next morning! I still can’t believe it. When I had the right knee replacement done- I was in hospital 6.5 days. Dr. McGarry was fantastic in every way, he told me that I would be home the next day - I could not believe it but it is the truth & for a 79 year old woman I think that is “Fantastic”! Dr. McGarry has been my orthopedic for a long time now. He has taken great care of me and his given great health advice. He is very awesome and excellent at what he does.

Dr. McGarry is so knowledgeable and has the best bedside manner. His staff is awesome and gave me an appointment within three hours of calling to request one so I didn’t have to wait over the weekend. The entire staff treated me like royalty, and I highly recommend this practice.

Online pre-appointment paperwork is wonderful, but I had to complete it on my phone, as it would not work from my Win10 laptop connected to the internet via Ethernet cable. Dr McGarry provided excellent descriptions of surgery options, procedures, and risks.

Dr McGarry and his staff are a pleasure to work with. Everyone is friendly and polite. They get you in and out in a very efficient manner but still take the time to answer questions,etc.

Professional and very helpful. Quickly diagnosed the issue my mom was having and treated it. She was in pain for over 5 months and after her treatment and rehab, she’s back to working again.

Dr. McGarry himself was very good and explained things well. The surgery went off without a hitch. The only thing I can say is that if you need to use FMLA, DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR/FACILITY! They will not work with you to provide proper time off for recovery. In fact, they told my job it was safe for me to return to work before they’d even performed a post-op inspection and removal of stitches. They said that even though my arm was completely immobilized and unable to be used, I could still go back. Still trying to figure out how they expected me to drive to work with a rigid sling on. They were leaving medical decisions to HR, as if they had any medical expertise to make such a decision. Trying to get an extension to my FMLA by having them provide medical paperwork was like pulling teeth. Tried numerous times over several weeks to contact the doctor to make sure there was no miscommunication on my paperwork needs, but he refused to call me back. If you are retired and do not need to work, highly recommend. If you are expecting time off to heal and recuperate, avoid at all costs. Dr. McGarry himself was very good and explained things well. Dr. McGarry is out of this world. He's really confident in his work and truly cares for his patients. I tore my knee patella tendon and had to get surgery for it. The staff are kind and very understanding. God bless

This medical center is fantastic! Extremely clean environment as well as a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I would highly recommend this location.

2 paid visits with no diagnosis. MRI was expected and needed and when made available the third visit I was asked to pay again. Did not see value for the money paid.

I felt it is all about money. I paid for 2 visits and was asked to bring MRI to see what is wrong. I brought the MRI 3 or 4 days later then I was again asked to pay for the third time.

Dr McGarry and his team made having my knee replaced easy. I was able to have my questions answered quickly. Office appointments were quick, arrangements for every aspect were made for me. My recuperation has been swifter than I expected. And I only needed one day of pain pills. I can highly recommend Dr. McGarry.

Dr. McGarry did an excellent job explaining my knee issues in a way that was easy to understand. He also provided alternatives to surgery and wasn't in a hurry to put me under the knife. I appreciated his concern and willingness to explore alternative options. I'd highly recommend him to others.

Dr Mc had the bedside manor of Florence herself. He was thorough with exam and relieved me of all anxieties.

I went back to the clinic to see him, but was told he no longer works there. Luckily I was able to locate him at Plano Orthopedics. Dr. Mcgarry is diligent and smart. He is excellent at his job, and I will recommend him to any prospective patient. Dr. McGarry was friendly and Informative. He provided great care, and took the time to explain exactly what was happening with my knee. I would trust him with any orthopedic care in the future.

I have been seeing Dr. McGarry for ACL and Meniscus tear since February and have gone through 2 surgeries with him. I don't have any complaints. Dr. McGarry has plenty of experience and does a good job. The care here is good overall and Dr. McGarry spends an appropriate amount of time with me during appointments, always asking if I have questions.
