It bothers me some aspects of reviews on here got only 2 & 3 out of 5 ?'s. Everytime I've gone in there it was really clean (even smelled good) & the staff are always friendly & amazing. So whoever gave them 2 stars, i wonder if they ever thought that maybe the problem wasn't the staff. But maybe the problem was their own attitude, jus sayin. And also, the 3 stars for how easy it is to make an appointment. Yea it's difficult to get an appointment becuz he's so high in demand bcuz he's jus THAT DAM GOOD of a Dr lol. The end. Every body wants in & can't. I've had epilepsy. So for mor than half my life (since 1999) I been having 3+ kinds of seizures: absent seizures, petite mall, & partial complex seizures are jus to name a few. And bcuz of that man I haven't had a seizure in almost 3 yrs! He's amazing.

I tried other neurologists, I didn't know what was going on, Dr. Schmidt did the right treatment and is helping me a lot. Thank you, Dr. And staff for your help.

This doctor is the bomb. I had a nerve problem. Problem solved. I recommend him. He is interesting and enjoys life. Dr. Schmidt is an amazing Neurologist in the Oroville Area.

Dr Schmidt is soft-spoken and knowledgeable, which is a rare and welcome combination in our world. He listens to his patient and then takes great care in addressing that patient's issues. Physical pain is something he knows a great deal about, having no doubt bourne no small portion of it himself. One thing: be punctual. Tardiness to appointments with him is not suffered gladly. My migrain was a 10 and when I left the pain level was at a 1 . The best experience with a dr for this I've ever had .

Absolutely like him. I saw him today 8/8/19. He listened to me and he asked before he brought in two interns and ask me if the interns could listen to my heart. I said yes. I have a loud murmur.

Discourteous, rude, and unhelpful. If you are just looking for someone to prescribe random drugs without consideration to your specific condition, he's your guy. But, if you would like an professional medical assessment based on objective observation and science, then look elsewhere. He brought two interns into the room without asking me, and then spent the entire time teaching them and addressing them, rather than me the patient. He told the interns that a lack of mobility in my right shoulder was a was a result of a seizure that I had, I explained that I was born that way, it was birth injury. He barely acknowledged that I was speaking to him and proceeded to "teach" the interns two more times how my birth injury was from a seizure, completely ignoring me explaining to him, multiple times, that I was born with a bum shoulder. I went to a different Doctor and I'm so glad I did.

I was happy with my visit and was glad to have some shots in the pain areas, which I hadnt expected. It was like acupuncture in that I did not feel the needles. I felt better after. He had me get some blood work and nerve tests. There is a very long wait to see him as he is only one in Oroville. I was lucky to get in sooner because of a cancelation.

Very unprofessional, walked out of the room to take a phone call. Degraded me as a 23 year old on short term disability because of a bulged disc an arthritis in my spine. I've been working since I was 16 years old An blew out my back working construction, setting mobiles. I would not recommend this doctor at all. I don't know him at all and he had no problem disrespecting me.

Dr. Schmidt was the only Doctor that could tell my husband and I what was going on. After going 3 years with other doctors telling my husband I was faking he told us exactly what was wrong. He told us I was having seizures and set up a plan to help get them under control. My family and I miss seeing him he was friendly and nice and always explained everything in a way we could understand.

I was referred to Dr. Schmidt due to chronic pain associated with degenerative illness. He has shown me nothing but compassion and kindness. He listens to my concerns, explains my symptoms and offers alternative therapies, other than medications. I have 100% confidence in him. I feel like I am making progress and am grateful to him. Oroville is fortunate to have such a fine practitioner!

I was sent to Dr. Schmidt by my primary Physician because I was injured in a accident and needed to see a neurologist to help me deal with the pain and loss of some of the feeling in my legs and nerve damage to my spine. I was feeling nervous and to be honest a little frightened. He was very nice and was not one of those people that make you feel like you are bothering them or that they don't really care about you. He was actually someone who was generally concerned about my prproblems.
