When first meeting Dr. Shibayama, he entered the room with the utmost intelligance of a hand shake and introducing himself. He did'nt hesitate at all about my injury and how seriously it needed to be attended to, he was very direct with professionalism! and explained everything to where you could understand. I knew rt then i had the right Doctor! What was sooo! Astonishing!!! was that he did'nt mind showing his Love for the Lord and wanted to Pray for me, again i most Definitely knew for a fact he was the right one. If i had any fear at all because i can tell you 100 percent i truely did, he was responsible for removing my fear. My surgery was a success!

Yesterday I had a visit with my doctor who informed me that my hip was worse than my back was a lot to take in but I have my trust in him and then God to take care of me I feel safe it was very nice you took time to explain everything that was going on and I recommend anyone to see him

Dr.Juris was very knowledgeable about my back issues. He was very personable and took his time listening to me. He and his whole staff have created an atmosphere that was pleasant and welcoming. The best part was when he asked if we could pray together. That meant so much to me as a patient.

Dr Shibayama is always very professional. Listen to the patient and set up all required test or shots. He shows compassion for all patients.

TOA will be my first choice when it comes to any surgical procedures. My wife is a patient of Dr. Shibayama. I liked the way she was treated personally and medically, so that made my decision easy. There is one thing that separates Dr. Shibayama from other physicians is his faith. Prayers are strong and appreciated.

Dr. Shibayama was absolutely amazing.

Relaxed and informative surgical consult with Dr Shibayama answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. His staff is exceptionally kind.

I came to Dr. Shibayama for a L5, S1 disc bulge. After a mylogram we decided surgery was needed. Dr. Shibayama was professional and understanding at my visit before surgery. He explained everything they were going to do during surgery. Since my surgery he’s been very caring and listens to anything you have concerns about. I’ve even had my husband referred to him but he is awaiting a MRI before he can see him. You also can’t go wrong see his PA Matthew Gaston. He also deserves 5 stars. The thing that I have to say impressed me the most was at the end of every visit he prays for you! And right before they took me back for surgery we all held hands and he prayed for me and for my surgery to go as planned. You don’t find that in doctors today. At least I’ve never had a doctor do that before. It was a really nice surprise and change. I would recommend very much!

Dr. Shibayama and his team have always treated me well. Always professional and to the point. They pray with you and wish wellness for you. My surgery was a success. I felt my legs and feet again for the first time in a long time as soon as I awoke from anesthesia. I’m so thankful for deciding to have Dr Shibayama take care of my back. Years of pain and suffering are now a thing of my past. Many thanks and prayers for Dr. Shibayama and his teams for getting me back on track.

Great doctor. He prayed with us I thought that was just great!

I was impressed by Dr Shibiyama. He was patient and listened to me; which I think is vital. He examined me, explained the xrays and discussed the surgery option. I left confident that I made the right decision.

Every staff member was polite and helpful. Always answered questions for me and responded quickly and Dr. Shibiyama is an awesome surgeon excellent results.

I has lower back surgery and am now having complications and yall jumped right on this and are trying to get me the best help.and test yall can to fi d out what's going on and I thank yall so much for everything. This is a great place to get fixed and the doctors are amazing and the one thing I loved is me and the doctor praying ❤️ together. Everybody was so nice and friendly and very professional. I love this place. This was my 2nd surgery and each time Dr Shibayama has made me feel very comfortable about my surgery and I LOVE THAT HE PRAYS with everytime you see him. He and his team is the best!!!!

Dr. Shibayama is fantastic!!! I will continue to recommend him to anyone with lower back trouble. I had trouble with two different discs on two different occasions 13 yrs apart. Dr. Shibayama fixed me up both times. I am so grateful and thankful for the work he has done, and it giving me the ability to get back to work and doing things I enjoy.

Just saw Dr. Shibayama for my first post-op appt yesterday. Excellent experience to date! Not only am I feeling so much better - cyst at L4/L5 removed - but Dr. Shibayama and his staff at the surgical center (as well as at his office!) have all been very caring throughout the entire time I’ve been in their care. I’m off to PT now and will have my 2nd post-op in another 6 weeks. I have no reason to expect anything but a continued positive experience, therefore Dr. Shibayama and his staff have my highest possible recommendation!!

Dr Shibayama is the absolute best! His bedside manner is second to none! He is very patient, you never feel rushed and he thoroughly explains what is going on so when you leave you have a clear understanding of your condition. He is a GOD fearing man and that alone is enough for me!

A friend of mine told me about Dr. Juris Shibayama who fused his back about 10 years ago. My first time at his office Dr Shibayama was on time, he is a pleasant fellow, easy to talk to and by no means arrogant. I felt comfortable talking with him, and he patiently answered all my questions. I suffered with a painful back since 2014. Dr. Shibayama ordered an MRI of my lower back. After seeing my MRI etc. he told me what my options are and what he thought was the best for my condition. He recommended an Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion. I did research on this procedure and agreed to have it done. My surgery is scheduled for next month and I feel confident that he will do a good job. By 65 you become a pretty good judge of character. So far I'm impressed with Dr. Shibayama, he seems to practice the golden rule, a rare quality these days.

When you pray for healing and you have to see an orthopedic MD and then at the end of the visit he asks you if he can pray with you, it is my opinion that you are already on the right path of healing. Dr Shibyama does this and I know relief is coming!

I was extremely pleased with the quality of care I received from Dr. Shibayama. And the fact that he prays for his patients, put him head and shoulders above the rest for me.

Dr. Shibayama is always on top of your health and concerns. Dr. Shibayama performed my Neck fusion back 2012, and he did a fantastic job and he also performed surgery on lower back. Excellent doctor and he believes in prayer!

Friendly office staff and technician support- everyone!!. Dr Shibayama is excellent- he not only is there for initial issue or surgery, he is always available for follow up - or responds to call questions or concerns via Jessica his nurse. He is a very gifted surgeon- when I first was diagnosed with degenerated discs- he let me know that although he loved surgery and being a surgeon, he would always look to provide the least extreme solutions to patient issues. Surgery would be the last resort on his first response. He was true to his word- it was 14 years before surgery became my best option- and Dr was always there through the years when I needed him. Theraphy worked for years- later epidural- then an out patient procedure- and after 14 years major surgery disc replacement- because of that surgery I can care for my Mother- we’ve been many years together- and I recommend him and always do to anyone suffering with back and spinal issues- he is a blessing from the Lord!

Dr. Shibayama performed my back surgery and provided me excellent care during the entire process. I would recommend him to my family and friends.

All the office members were friendly and very courteous. Dr. Jurius Shibayama was great.

Everyone was very cheerful in all the different departments.. The doctor was so concerned about how I was feeling and listened to me.. Thank you for the prayer...Even being in pain the staff made you feel good.

Dr. Shibayama is the best. He sits down and explains what the problem is. He is not one to push for surgery. He tells you what he needs to do to fix your problem. He has done a few surgeries on me. What puts me at ease more than anything else is he prays with you before surgery. When I went to Dr. Shibayama‘s office the gave me pers to fill out. One of the question ask as to what can he and his self pray for you today? Never had that before, but I really loved it. When Dr. Shibayama came in and explained what we needed to do, he asked if he could pray with us? YES,YES you can. The way I look at is if Dr Shibayama has such a close relationship with God then I can rest easy. Dr.Shibayama is the nicest doctor I have ever met. He treats his patients with the upmost respect. He is the only orthopedic surgeon I will ever go to.

Talked with my husband and myself with clear language and model. Gave us realistic expectations without promising of "cure". Answered all questions clearly. Staff gave us everything we will need to know what to expect, all limitations etc. He asked if he could pray with us at end of appointment.

I can’t say enough how happy I am with results of my surgery! Dr. Shibayama explained the procedure well. The recovery process has been much better than expected. I knew the day after surgery that it was successful and the pain was gone. My results are nothing less than miraculous! My only regret is that I didn’t have the surgery sooner! I highly recommend Dr. Shibayama! Don’t suffer years of needless pain as I did. Call TOA and see him. You will be so glad you did!

I'm 74 and I've to many Drs in my lifetime but I believe Dr Shibayama is the first Dr to actually PRAY for me .. Great doctor! You can tell he cares for his patients. He listens to your concerns and questions. Always gives clear, straightforward answers. Im not a very religious person but i like that he prays with you at all appointments.Would recommend to anyone who needs back surgery.

There is no other place I would trust my health or the health of my family more. I have had some critical surgeries and have never had an issue with recovery. The office staff and doctors are the best!! They are truly a blessing.

Doctor Shibayama is by far one of the best in his field. To put it simply as possible. He cut off a part of my disk that was bulging. After the procedure I had very little pain at all. I only had to take a handful of the pain / muscle relaxer medication and I was good as new on that side of my spine. I highly recommend him as a surgeon. Excellent hospital facility with wonderful, caring staff from front desk throughout surgical wing. Thanks to Dr. Shibayama, PA Matt Gaston and all the wonderful nurses, physical therapists and any other staff I interacted with during my brief stay. Tri Star should be proud of these fine folks.

The wait was entirely too long. Waited 90 minutes to see doctor. Dr. S. Is worth the wait though. Everyone in the office is friendly and efficient.

Hello, February of 2021 I had a really bad accident that involved falling. My PCP recommended TOA if the pain didn’t let up after their treatment plan, so I decided to schedule an appointment. Once I arrived at the office their staff was overly kind, and his nurse instructed me to get an MRI. My next follow up visit I saw Dr. Shibayama, where he informed me I had herniated the L4 & L5 disc in my spine and it was pretty serious. Unfortunately I didn’t have that many options and he highly recommended surgery. The pain I experienced for the first few months was limiting me from working, driving, sleeping and at other times staying sane. I chose after 5 months to have a microdiscectomy, and I can honestly say my sciatic nerve pain was 90% better 3 weeks after the surgery. I must mention all 3 times I saw Dr. Shibayama he prayed for me, and that’s just something you don’t see nowadays. If it was not for him and his team I would have been lost in Workers Comp system. He has fought for me every step of the way. His knowledge and dedication to his work has given me some of my life back. As a person he is first class. I have the highest degree of respect for him and his team. Dr Shibiyama is one of the kindest surgeons I’ve met and I used to be a pharmaceutical rep so I’ve met many doctors!! He truly cares for his patients and is an excellent surgeon. In addition, the hospital Stonecrest is fabulous too! The whole team, Dr Shibs nurses and hospital team works in tandem very well! I would not have any other spine surgeon touch me! He’s the best!!
