I had lower lid bletharoplasty to remove large under eyebags. I received Excellent Service when I went I went in for my consult. The Staff Are Friendly And The Establishment Is Nicely decorated. Dr. Duerksen Is Pleasant. She was very thorough when explaining what I was dealing with and explained the best option for me. She explained what I could expect during surgery as well as what to expect after the procedure. My incision lines under my eyes are neat and almost undetectable. I took 4 days off work to recover. The swelling/ bruising is minimal and there was little pain afterwards. I was initially referred to Dr. Duerksen by one of the residents in ophthalmology at the VA but I chose to visit another office first as a second opinion. Doesn’t care about real medical issues. Wasted my time and continued to bill my insurance. Not recommended

Dr. Duerksen and her team are phenomenal! I am so happy with the results of my upper bilateral blepharoplasty.

I was disappointed with the front desk when I called. I was looking for a consult and she kept deterring me away with saying it’s expensive. I felt that she was prejudging my wallet and said thanks and hung up the phone.

100 % satisfied with eyelid surgery and repair. Staff very qualified. Dr answered all questions and concerns.

Dr. Duerksen was very nice. I was very thankful that she was honest and said that plastic surgery really wasn't an option for me. Though I wish she was able to figure out what was wrong with me but no one has been able to so far. The girls at the front desk were super nice especially her assistant I don't remember her name. Was trying to get in quickly because I had something in my eye and I could not get it out. It is not life threatening were I need to waste the ER time and take away from TRULY SICK people, it isn't even Urgent to waste $$$ at urgent care and take away from sick people there. This is an ophthalmologist's scope of practice, their wheelhouse, their expertise and yet the earliest appointment I could get was a month out because I would be a "NEW" patient and they only have certain Number of new patient slots. POOR business practice. Caring for someone's PAIN and sight is not primary for Ophthalmologists. How sad is that. In my profession we don't have that luxury of turning patients away. Especially now, during COVID. So thanks for nothing. But since you were not the only one, it seems it is your specialty that chooses convenience over Patient Pain/Care - Patient First motto. How very sad. As a doctor and as a profession you all should be ashamed of yourselves.

Absolutely horrible experience. Waited for an hour and a half. Finally decided to leave and the doctor flags us down. Her explanation was her staff didn't tell her we were there. I had surgery with Dr. Deueksen I had Upper and lower bleffoplasty my eyes were in bad shape a couple months after surgery Omgosh my eyes look beautiful this Dr. is a first class eye Dr. her training her experience is renowned I feel so lucky that Dr. Duerksen is here in Tucson well if I could post a pic I would I’m so dang happy people I know friends are like you look good and can’t figure out what I have done, I tell them but great hands Doc!❤️ Btw a lil wait is ok not bad she always fits in her patients when needed so one great wait, the staff are all very friendly and I would return recommend this Dr. to anyone if you saw me before after I telling ya amazing !! i had surgery, with Dr. Duerksen, yesterday and she was so fantastic. I had a mohs procedure, with Dr Huether and he.,said he wanted Dr Duerksen to close because she is the best, with eyes and it was very near the corner of my eye. Dr Duerksen explained everything in detail, before the surgery and was very patient and was very reassuring, that she would do everything to make it look good. I felt completely comfortable, knowing I had a Dr. that was so empathetic, to my concerns. I had also called her about 2 weeks, before the surgery with concerns and she made time that day, stayed late, to talk with me and answer my questions and concerns. Received an out of network referral along with an authorization and not only would her office not return our calls. She refused to even evaluate the patient. This does not speak highly for a doctor to me.

Doctor is very thorough and very picky. I had eyelid surgery as my eye wouldn’t close. She met with me and clearly outlined everything that was going to be done. She took her time answering all my questions. My surgery was great. Followed her directions to the letter and my results are wonderful

She's very caring & will go "above & beyond" for her patients. My husband saw her on Tuesday & her competent & compassionate staff worked to get him approved for surgery the following Thursday! Our next appointment brought her from 5 to 4 stars. We were seen 1 1/2 late. When the reason is that she takes her time with everyone, I'm OK with that. However, she actually saw a patient with an appointment 1/2 later than us first!!! REALLY ANNOYING! When she did see my husband she was curt & dismissive

The office is very clean and the staff is awesome. I had a tear duct surgery and Dr Duerksen was amazing and very through. I highly recommend.

Dr. Duerksen performed eye surgery to correct a problem called eye ptosis. My right eye looked like it was sliding down my face. The surgery was perfect!! My eyes look fabulous! Thank you Dr. Duerksen and all of your kind staff. I highly recommend Dr. Duerksen for all of your eye and cosmetic needs.

She and her staff makes me feel like l am her only patient. The only reason I went to her was cancer on lower eyelid. I was awake during surgery, I remember what they said and was more comfortable than any other surgery (6) I have experienced. I would have my children go to her!

Dr. Duerksen is amazing! She is kind, helpful, and I have been so happy with the results of my skin graft. This has been the best experience I have had with a doctor!
