Dr. Kathryn Baurer made one of the most traumatic experiences of us being parents turn into one of the most memorable. She is truly an amazing doctor who not only put our baby back together(who is 100% healed today) but also was able to make us feel great about everything before, during and after the procedure. She is truly an angel for parents and children. I can't recommend anyone any higher than Dr. Bauer. Our son is back to being the fearless kid he was before. I have been in healthcare for 28 years and never seen such an exceptional surgeon. Her explanation of the treatment was so easy to understand and follow. Wow! Doctor Kathryn Leigh Bauer is unbelievable, she is the most amazing Doctor that I've ever met, she took the time to explain every detail before, during and after she performed surgery on my grandson shoulder. She never rushed, and she made sure every question we had was answered. Also her Assistant, along with all others Nurses, Anethesiaoligist, and everyone that was there on August 31st, 2021 that was a part of the surgery team was so wonderful and caring, they made Me and my Grandson feel at ease. My son had knee injury and was treated by Dr. Bauer. She took time to explain the procedure and answered all of our questions and concerns. We never felt rushed and she spent time to walk us through the whole treatment plan. We felt very comfortable with her and she alleviated our anxieties. Great experience. As a fellow surgeon I could not be there when my daughter broke her arm but my husband so appreciated her care. She was engaging and did an awesome job getting our daughter the care she needed. She is a rock star.

To the reviews here on the board. I must say I disagree with the bad she is direct but was the most informative of the surgeons we saw when getting the second opinions. The first doctor we had did not explain anything and was unwilling to talk about alternative solutions vs surgery. Dr. Bauer looked at his scans and agreed but took the extra time to show us why and offered alternative solutions. We elected for the procedure & she has been amazing, and gave our daughter new hope. Thank you

We met Dr Bauer after we had been to Children's ER and needed a specialist. She has a great bed side manner, listened to our questions, took all the appropriate tests after listening to our daughters symptoms, and explained everything she found in easy understandable terms. She was sharp and to the point, no messing around. We left feeling at ease and had a plan in place for full recovery. Dr. Bauer is not a friendly woman. She gestured with her hand to have us rush through our explanation. No bed-side manner and I am switching to a different Dr. for our follow-up. I have never met a Dr with such a horrible attitude. If I could give zero stars I would.

Dr. Bauer should NOT be treating pediatric patients. She FAILS horribly at bedside manner & compassion. She kept cutting my child off after asking my child to explain how the accident happened. I'm a very educated and informed parent, I'm an ICU nurse. I called the day after initial visit to let her know pain was way out of control. She refused to call any additional meds in and said we would review it at the next visit...over 24 hrs later. I had to threaten to take my child back to the ER. F-
