Dr. Louis C Blumenfeld

Dr. Blumenfeld performed a (very!) successful bilateral strabismus operation on our 6 month old and we are so thankful to him and his team. Everyone we spoke to, both on the phone and in-person, was wonderful. We received kind, compassionate care during what could have been an incredibly stressful and scary time. We would recommend Dr. Blumenfeld to anyone who needed a pediatric ophthalmologist.

During the past 6 months Dr Blumenfeld has been patient, kind and through. On Multiple visits he sat with us and reviewed records from our Neurosurgeons office before offering his guidance and answers. Our 7 year old son had a rough year, a brain surgery, and last week Dr Blumenfeld completed a surgery on the muscles in both his eyes. We are very pleased with the results. Dr Blumenfeld called the day after surgery (on Saturday) just to check in. I would highly recommend him to anyone. From the start we have had an excellent experience. His office Nurse manager is a gem and was so patient with me when I was scared. At every visit my husband and I always felt like we were being heard and supported. We can’t say enough good things. Thank you Dr Blumenfeld and staff!

the three stars are because service with Dr. Blumenfeld is good. If it was for his staff, it would be 1 star. Their office staff leaves a lot to be desired. I was on hold for over 25 minutes on the phone and then a staff member just hung up on me. So frustrating. Just sad to be getting this type of service in 2021.

Dr. Blumenfeld and his entire practice are top notch and so caring with children.

Front desk staff is nasty. Rude, patronizing. When I stated that I had never been spoken to like this by someone, she said absolutely nothing. Amazed actually. Is anyone ever pick up the calls there , I swear it’s way easier to call and speak with someone from IRS then get to speak with someone from this doctor’s office, hire more people don’t be this cheap. I trying to reschedule appointment for my daughter , for 3 days more then an hours on a line and no one pick any calls , mailbox is full ... service like in third world country . No in third world country more likely it’s better . I brought my kids to this guy years ago. Now, nearly a decade later, I’m attempting to make an appointment for my youngest and I’m told that we missed a few appointments years ago, so the office administrator put a note in our file that we were dismissed and not to be seen ever again due to a few missed appointments from ten years ago. And of course the office administrator now is someone different, so they don’t know why she did that but are denying my children service anyway. No thank you. Thanks for the reminder on how unprofessional and difficult your office was to deal with. We’ll go elsewhere and avoid the headache. It’s not like this man provides excellent service or anything either, just a ritzy office space with a few rude receptionists. He doesn’t take any extra time, and although he was able to correct my daughters esotropia when she was younger, when I took her back at age 6, he purposely gave her a prescription that reversed what he had done previously, I assume so that he could make an appointment excuse to operate, but I can’t say that definitively, but he actually caused more damage. Dr. Blumenfeld and the entire staff at Eye Physicians of Central Florida are in one word.......AMAZING!!! My 3 year old had strabismus that was VERY noticeable, we finally decided on surgery to correct it. Dr. Blumenfeld did a beautiful job, his bedside manner is great, he is patient with both parent and child, he is thorough, it is clear that he is dedicated to his patients, and he explains everything very clearly. Its only been about a week since the surgery, but I couldn’t be happier with the results. I can wholeheartedly recommend the level of care you and/or your child will receive here.

Dr. Blumenfeld is a five star doctor, kind, an expert in the field with an equally great staff and surgical center. My strabismus surgery went very well, results were immediate. He even called to see how I was doing the next day. I can’t say enough. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Blumenfeld performed strabismus surgery on my son's eyes last week. From the first appointment through post-surgery, Dr. Blumenfeld takes as much time as needed for the appointments. He's very thorough on the exams and provides a complete understanding of what to expect from surgery.

Almost daily she will tell us something new she has discovered that looks amazing now to her. It has been a life changing experience for all of us! Dr. Blumenfeld is a very special doctor. If your child needs an eye specialist, he is the one you want. His office and staff are also first class and actually make going to the eye doctor a pleasant experience. Dr. Blumenfeld is an awesome physician! He is kind and is willing to take the time to explain what he’s doing and why he’s doing it. I put my eyes in hands and my vision is better than it’s been in years. I would highly recommend him!

I am 67 with double vision for over 20 years. Dr. Blumenfeld fixed my problem! I woke-up from surgery with single vision. He is very professional & thorough. Answered all of my questions. I highly recommend him.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Louis Blumenfeld and Eye Physicians of Central FL Maitland. Dr. Blumenfeld listens well, is very thourough, and kind. My eye muscle surgery went extremely well. Dr Blumenfeld's staff was courteous and easy to deal with. He did an excellent surgery on my left eye to correct strabismus.

Dr. Blumenfeld has been a very caring and helpful physician from the very beginning. Our daughter had surgery for her esotropia and eventhough she was and still is very fussy and fidgety during her examinations, he is always very patient and understanding. She is doing great, thanks to him. I highly recommend this doctor and his practice.

My daughter has been seeing Dr Blumenfeld since she was just a few months old. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable and friendly. He just performed bilateral eye muscle surgery on my 2 years old and it went very well. He even called us himself the very next day (Saturday) to inquire about her post surgery condition. He's extremely patient and answered all of our questions. Everyone at his office is friendly as well.

Dr Blumenfeld is fantastic. My son has been going to him for the past 7 or 8 years for an issue with his eye. I always leave our appointments thankful for his expertise. He had surgery this month. The whole experience, as scary as it was for my son and us, could not have gone better. It was a complete success. Everyone we encountered from start to finish was professional and went above and beyond. We had follow up calls from everyone involved.

I can not express how grateful I am for Dr. Blumenfeld and his staff. From the first day till now service has been wonderful. Very easy to communicate with the office staff and scheduling appointments. My son has had surgery and the out come was amazing. so relived and happy to hear my son tell me he no longer is seeing Double vision.

The office squeezed us in when my daughter had an emergency. The office was prompt and kind. The Dr. was helpful, knowledgable and did a great job explaining what was going on.

Words can not describe how grateful I am to Dr Blumenfeld, I had surgery to correct my double vision following a TBI, now I can see normally again! With a fabulous Dr and staff I would certainly recommend this practice to anyone I know.
