PLEASE READ! I came in today with my 10 & 4 year old son's. My 4 year year old is autistic and non verbal. Do to the negative reviews I was a little nervous going in but I came here to say my experience was the exact opposite of those 1 star reviews. Dr. Gold, Pam and all the staff were FANTASTIC! So professional and made me feel so comfortable the whole time I had zero doubts my kids were in great hands! They were beyond patient and understanding with my 4 year old behaviors. He got very upset during the exam and they handled it with professionalism and kindness! I'm so glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews and gave them a chance. 10/10! I recommend them 100%! Thank you!

When i was a baby my parents were told i had strabismus and needed immediate corrective surgery. Dr. Gold performed my surgery when I was 8 months old. That was 18 years ago and I still go to see Dr. Gold. Even when i was younger and would cry because of getting my eyes dilated or being at the doctors office Dr. Gold and his staff would try their hardest to make me laugh. Using things like dancing pigs and sesame street character puppets always made my visits a happy experience. Dr. Gold is a very friendly ophthalmologist and truly cares for his patients. I wouldn’t trust anyone else as my eye doctor.

Over the last few years, I have taken my son with special needs to several different eye doctors to try to figure out what is up with his eyes. Each doctor provided a different diagnosis with a completely different solution - including invasive eye drops, patching and surgery. I never felt comfortable with any of the exams, as my son is fairly difficult to communicate with, so I kept searching for answers while his eyes worsened. I was nervous to go to Dr. Gold because of the negative reviews, but I was beyond impressed with our visit. He was very comfortable and patient with my son and for the first time ever, I felt confident he got a good reading during the exam. This is our 3rd pair of glasses, and the only ones my son has ever worn - so they actually work. Thanks Dr. Gold. What a difference it makes to have normal vision again! I should've done it years ago. All went smoothly the day of the surgery and the recovery was just as stated - not bad at all. If I have one message it's this: listen to Dr. Gold. He knows what he's talking about.

I am a 62-year-old female and my right eye started to cross. it had gotten so bad I couldn't drive anymore due to double vision as well. My eye doctor referred me to Dr. Gold at Eye Physicians of Central Florida. The Doctor and staff were very nice and professional I am now able to see and drive again with very little down time. My daughter has been a patient of Dr Gold since she was a child and she continues to see him as a young adult. Her eye condition is a bit complicated and it took a few tries to find someone that could understand it. Not only did Dr Gold figure out how to address it, but he has also patiently explained the situation to us over the years. He has also performed two successful operations to correct her alignment. Waiting time is unacceptable! We have filled out everything online and we arrived 15 minutes before our appointment, and we had to wait one hour and half !!!! Plus 45 minutes at the waiting room !! Totally waiting : 2 hours with appointment and paper work filled out night before. They are blaming the pandemic on the delayed because they have to clean after each patient which is obviously it’s not a normal practice !! Wow ! Waiting time is unacceptable! Do not take your child here. Dr has no patience for nervous children. He'll bump you from the practice and good luck getting into the one other practice that takes children for 6 months to a year.

Worst Eye doctor I could find. My son had a clogged tear duct , they explained he needed surgery I followed through and put my trust in this location. After surgery was preformed the problem to this day has not been resolved looking for other options. In my opinion DONT WASTE YOUR TIME !

Dr. Gold should not be working with children. He yanked my 2 year olds arm out of frustration, yelled at us and walked out of our appointment. My 2 year old has been saying since our appointment that he's scared of Dr. Gold. I'm still in disbelief. His administrator, Tiffany, said it was because he had a bad day.

I will speak to the caliber of people that the Sharonda and her husband represent. They are respectable, hard working, loving and CARING people. I saw her experience and then looked up this practice and saw the response to her review and was appalled. I worked in health care for 10 years, they should have reached out to see what happened and should have and could have approached this situation differently. I have never had an issue with Dr Gold as I think he is amazing, especially with children. However, I tried calling today, starting at 4:03pm to make my daughter an appointment. The hours clearly state 8:00-5:00 so when I called, the first 6x I was picked up and hung up on after going through the messages and prompts. It was only giving me the option to press 1 for emergency and if you wait and don't press 1 to see if it will give you a different option, it will just hang up on you so I called again and pressed 1 for emergency just to get someone on the phone smh so the gentlemen that answered was very rude and said "thats the message you will continue to get because they are closed" I said well the website says you do not close until 5pm, his reply was "well that is incorrect, scheduling closes at 4" so maybe you should update your google listing to reflect this and have a better phone system and more professional people answering the phone. I went to Dr. Gold when I was younger. He was the most disrespectful ophthalmologist I had ever visited and definitely has some type of narcissist personality or sociopathic disorder. Since when is yelling at my parents and at me normal behavior in a clinical practice? He does not even know the fundamentals principles of patient care and bed side manners. He mocked my parents and had no patience when examining me for my eye health needs. STAY AWAY from him. Dr. Gold and his staff are excellent! My son felt comfortable and they were so patient with him when he was upset by the evil drops. I’m so impressed by the protocol they follow to keep everyone safe during this time. I so appreciate their efforts!!

I drive from Kissimmee to see Dr Gild because he is so good. I began taking my daughter to see Dr Gold when she was 1. We lived in winter park then. Dr Gold and his staff were so amazing with her. The staff made sure to take their time to help and Dr Gold was very upfront. At the time her eye were doing well and what we thought were crossed was just from the closeness of her eyes which he took the time to show and a plain. I like He is honest Dr. he is not one to to be dishonest to make money like lots of doctors today are. After moving to Kissimmee we have continued to take our daughter to see him. We were going to Dr. Gold’s office almost every year for over 15 years. He treated my older daughter 16 years ago at the hospital when she born prematurely. Since then he is my children’s eye doctor. We liked him so much we started bring my younger daughter to see him, even though, we live 50 minutes away, our insurance requires referral every year and he is out of network doctor. My younger daughter has disability but he was able to see her and give her prescription for eye glasses. Last year when we went there to visit him he was very rude with us. For some reason he was agitated, maybe due to Covid-19 restrictions. He became very rough/rude when my younger daughter started not to cooperate with him. When my daughter grabbed his pen he said to us that we can not afford that pen and must give it back to him right away. We may not be wealthy like him but that was insulting. We have decided not to go back to his office in the future.

I went to see him the very next day because of the sever pain, he accused me of being a "chicken when it comes to pain," he accused me of being on recreational drugs, he screamed and yelled at me the whole time and he KICKED me OUT of his office. It's the most severe case of patience negligence I have ever experienced. At the one-week follow up, he apologized for his behavior in one of those "sorry but not sorry" child like kind of ways. He took credit for the diminished pain but I got better DESPITE him not BECAUSE of his assistance. The pain, suffering and agony I went through, I would not wish on my worst enemy, except maybe on him. Supposedly, he doesn't believe in prescribing pain medication. My head felt like I was shot in the eye, if pain medication is not designed for that, I don't know what its for

Dr. Gold has been a God sent for us. He has taken care of my mother's aging eye sight, double vision and all the issues she's had in the past 5+ years. If it wasn't for Dr. Gold's caring and detailed eye examination we would not have found her macular degeneration disease so quickly. His staff is kind, professional and caring and so is he.

We've raised 5 kids for 20 years and have never had an experience with a medical professional like we did in this office today. Visited with our teenage son to check for convergence and contacts. My wife had to take a call from another medical professional while Dr. Gold's assistant was examining him, and when she stepped back in she was berated...and I'm not exaggerating...literally berated for not being there to ask her question. “If you had been in here you would have known”. He raised his voice and called her rude. He then obviously told Dr. Gold that we were problem patients, because he came in on the defensive. After realizing that we weren’t the problem, he contradicted the medical information that the first guy gave and was friendly after that. We never received an acknowledgement of why this guy was so aggressively rude, or an apology for his behavior. Open questions for this practice: Who is this guy that can yell at my wife, and why is that okay? Is bullying now a common practice in this office? Why did this behavior occur in front of my son? We’ve been clients here for a decade, is business going so great that your employees have been given the okay to flush that because a parent has to take an emergency phone call? Dr. Gold treated my children, and I became one of his adult patients after I developed adult-onset diabetes. He is a really great doctor, and a really sweet man. I consider myself extremely lucky to be his patient.

Dr Gold was stunning, top high. He personally called us to follow up my 11 years old eye surgery. Yes! He made the call. Just extraordinarily! Also we received a 2nd call from his Surgical clinic for follow up too. Thanks for all received that trespassed our expectations. Just a Christmas gift!! God bless your hands Dr. Gold! Amen

My daughter was nervous about going to see Dr. Gold. He was able to change her uneasiness in the first five minutes he entered into the room. He made her feel comfortable and was able to educate her about her eyes. The staff was friendly and approachable. From the cleanliness to each staff member we give a 5 star review. Great ophthalmologist

I am very satisfied with the attention of Dr Gold and his Staff, very professional. My son has autism and for him the medical consultations are very stressful, Dr Gold and his assistant attended him in an extraordinary way. 100% Satisfied. Thank you Dr Gold.

The office is first class. The staff is excessive. They do their jobs efficiently but not friendly. Once I met the doctor I knew why... he expects top notch around him. But his bedside manner is horrible. He talks down to his staff. He didn’t make us comfortable at all. Our 6 year old daughter was scared of him and his booming voice. And he essentially said that she was making up her complaint. Would not recommend for any other kids!

Could be more accommodating considering the toll a eye appointment can take on a child. Unfortunately, the women at the glasses desk were fooling around after the initial apology for the wait. My son exclaimed he was hungry but it seemed the women did not take that in account. One thought it was funny to play behind the others shoulders. Then blamed the computer not being connected to the other computer system for a minor issue. Yes, I feed my kids before hand. In conclusion, Robert Gold was professional so I will be returning. We've been with Dr. Gold since my daughter was 18 months old. She is now 13! Dr. Gold is just wonderful with children. He's funny and makes them laugh which is important when it comes time for those refraction eye drops. He takes his time explaining every part of your child's eye health. Fast talking impersonal jerk w made disrespectful jokes that my child is blind as a bat Right in front of my daughter.Could have cared less for my child and the issues she has. Cold as ice and seemingly joked about my Childs serious condition. Tried to ask questions and he was so short and you could tell he just wanted my family out of there so he could get his next client in to keep the money flowing. I know a lot of great doctors and he is not one of them. Terrible bedside manner.!

I brought my son in to see Dr. Gold and couldn't be happier. I could tell from the moment that we entered that Eye Physicians of Central Florida was first class. There was an older gentlemen there to greet us and direct us to the front desk who were very helpful with the paperwork. Dr. Gold and his nursing team were kind, caring and compassionate. He was very patient and kind to my 6month old son. He explained every thing really well.

Dr Gold and his entire staff were amazing! They really know how to work with children. We had an appt for our 14 month old daughter. His assistants were phenomenal and patient ( It is not easy to examine or place eye drops into an infants eyes ). From the moment Dr Gold entered the room he was a natural with our daughter. He took an incredibly stressful situation and put my husband and I both at rest while we were waiting to see if our daughter had some serious vision issues. Top notch care!!

I already have! As soon as I left Dr. Golds office I told everyone I could about how amazing our visit was.
