Dr. Buckner put me at ease from the first consultation to prior to surgery! Exceptional bedside manner and compassion for my medical needs. I would highly recommend him especially if you need your gallbladder removed.

Right on top of issues. Very attentive and atune to detail. Does not brush off or avoid concerns of patients. He has been on top of all needs. The staff is very helpful and concerned with questions and works to provide answers. Thanks for helping keep us healthy.

Had extreme pain due to my gallbladder- one visit to the ER they told me I needed my gallbladder out. I had a huge stone in my gallbladder tract.. Doctor Buckner came highly recommended and was the doctor I wanted to cut me open. I had been in so much pain the entire week and the day of my appointment to see him he said let’s do the surgery now.. so I headed over to the hospital and they did the surgery- could never explain how happy and relieved I was. I think he could see how much pain I was in and he really cared, I am so appreciate of him and his wonderful nurses.. Would recommend to anyone!! Such a wonderful person and Doctor ! Dr. Buckner is an excellent dr. I can not speak highly enough about him, or his wonderful staff.

Dr. Buckner has been my husband's surgeon for his diabetic issues for a few years. He is the absolute best doctor I have ever met. He genuinely cares about not only the patient, but the entire family. The staff is great and knows the whole family by name.

Excellent service and great nurses. They made a great effort to help you get back to feeling better as quickly as possible. Extremely polite and positive attitude towards my needs. Dr Buckner, Christie and staff are first class professionals and would definitely recommend to anyone in need.

Decatur is very fortunate to have Dr. Buckner and his staff. It is a rarity to have a doctor who really cares for you in the manner Dr. Buckner and Christy (his nurse) cares for you. I had a simple hernia repair performed. Dr. Buckner was not only interested in the hernia but he wanted to know about other problems I was facing. We shared with each other and you could tell he was interested in my well-being and wanted the best outcome for me. Dr. Buckner, Christy and the entire staff were all I could have hoped for in a surgeon. He has been my surgeon of choice for several years and has always provided the absolute best care. If things are out of his specialty, he offers his best advice. If you are looking for a doctor whose medical knowledge is encyclopedic, treats the whole person, and takes the time to be caring even while maintaining a very efficient office schedule, Dr. Buckner is an ideal choice. Dr. Buckner was very nice and professional. I would recommend him to anyone in need of gallbladder removal. His nurse and staff are also great. They are adamant about making sure you are taken care of. Altogether it was a good experience for my first surgery and I will go back to him again if the time comes. Very nice Doctor. It's hard to find a Doctor that has such a good bedside manner and is also an excellent surgeon.
