Dr. Mamoun I Najjar

They don’t even answer their phone, or call you back when you leave messages. I got 1 answer the 3rd time I called, he told me the receptionist was with a patient and would call me back in 5-10 minutes. Never heard anything back. Called about 10 times with no answer. Left a message, with no returned call. That’s poor service.

I have been a patient of Dr. Najjar for over 10 years. Through that time he has had different staff members. Any issues that I've had have been with the staff, not Dr. Najjar. When I have brought those issues to his attention I found that he was often unaware and took measures right away to resolve the problem. He takes time with me to answer questions and has always been willing to work with me to my satisfaction. His office building may not be the fanciest, but I've found it to be clean and accommodating. Rude awful staff..lowdown af...i was yelled at bc i wasnt moving fast enough ..and when she removed the probes from the machine and my hair..she was yanking the probe's out the machine so hard she broke every last one...she yanked one out of my head so hard she pulled all my edges out on one side..did not even apologize

In my opinion, the rating should be at 0 stars. I was a patient at this clinic for about 18 months. They had me in for day and night sleep studies every 6 months $$$$. After each study, I would have to come in for results. Typically, I would wait 1 1/2 to 2 hours past my appointment time before being seen. If a PA was doing the followup, they could never answer a question I had. The answer was always, "You'll have to ask the doctor". OK, where's the doctor????? Then there was the ultrasound performed every six months on the carotid artery. $$$$ There was no blockage to be concerned about, but they want to do the ultrasound every 6 months $$$$. If after almost 60 years my results were negative, I don't think it's going to change in six months. After to speaking with friends with sleep apnea about their treatment plans, I decided, in my opinion, that this clinic is about making money. Is this insurance fraud? You decide. I think that over the past 2 yrs they have went way way behind their own motto and morals. They play around the whole time you are at your appointment. And they don't explain in details anything about your condition or test results to even know what is going on with you. If you question their diagnosis and ask for a second opinion they actually get fighting mad and more or less tell you you're wrong but they will send you a referral anyway. And the new Nurse Practitioner they have working now never smiles or grins or even talks without trying to rush you out of there. She can't be older than 21 maybe 22 and she is not the kind of person you Wanna be seeing when you are already ill from not being able to breathe. The staff is very caring & go out of their way to help you

When you first walk in you feel like someone lives there and decided last week to open a sleep clinic. Very unprofessional. I should have walked away but I gave it a shot. They ran a test for lung function. Ten minutes later the nurse practitioner walked in and said I had stage 3 COPD with 34% lung function. She gave me a few inhaler prescriptions and left. I took the meds. Researched all I could online and returned a week later with same symptoms, no improvements. I asked about what else we could do and she told me nothing and advised me to go back to the emergency room. I asked to see the actual Dr and was told he would say the same thing so there was no point. I went for a second opinion in Huntsville and was told my lungs looked ok, no signs of COPD. Discovered it was blood clots in lungs which I asked about from the beginning since its happened 3 times before. My husband had an appointment today his first one for pulmonary fibrosis we got back come to find out he wasn’t seeing the dr he was seeing a nurse practitioner who has 3 years experience working under dr najjar ok they said my husband would not be seeing the dr at all that dr najjar only comes in on Tuesday and Thursday for 1 hour. Are you kidding me. I said no I will not put the life of my husband in the hands of a nurse practitioner who has worked under a Dr she sees 2 hours a week, how much can she learn in 2 hours a week. So I got our copay back and we left. I can understand a nurse practitioner working with a dr who Is there so if the patient needs answers they can get them from someone with more than 3 years experience 2 hours a week. I’m sure she’s a good nurse but when it comes to lung disease that has no cure a person needs a Dr with experience that is up to date on treatments and new medication.

I have been twice and I have never seen the doctor always a nurse

Dont do business with this place, they prescribed the wrong machine and would not make it up. They almost cost me my job. I had to go buy another machine out of my pocket just so I could go back to work. Worst place I have ever used and will never go back!!!

Told my mother in law she had COPD long story short she was misdiagnosed. I’m horrified after meeting another patient at my current office who shared similar stories. I hope they would not go this far to make a buck but unfortunately this seems to be an unethical practice.

There is only ONE staff member there at night to monitor a house full of patients. If you have a heart attack or a medical issue while there consider yourself dead.

A clip on my mask broke shortly after I received it and I was told I had to come back and get another test done just for them to replace my mask this office ratchet and don’t care about they patients. There are REASONS why no one wants to work there!!! If one provides two weeks notice they do not get paid for the time worked in those two weeks. Overtime is removed from all checks hours before the check is cut. Hours shaved off and management acts confused when confronted. Many unnecessary medical procedures scheduled, FRAUD. ALOT of fraud. If you want to be misdiagnosed come to this facility. Not one person who comes in is not diagnosed with sleep apnea. You will be asked to come for a morning study but not told what it’s for- it’s for narcolepsy.... has a secretary who has never gone to school doing the cpap studies which is illegal. Now Normally I don’t like to write negative reviews but my stay here was displeasing. I was put in a room with a HUGE roach in it. I kept my mouth shut about it I didn’t want to cause any trouble or nothing. Later I noticed on the headboard a whole bunch of tiny bugs. I was able to switch to another room but when I woke up I was covered in BED BUG BITES!!!!! FILTHY facility run by men with big egos but small everything else. The new medical administrator Ash worked there awhile back and we were happy to see him go. He flirted with all the staff and cheated on his wife with one of the office staff, who ended up making boss moves and was able to take his job. This creeps decided to come back when she quit though. My son was SEVERELY MISDIAGNOSED by this facility! They had him wearing a CPAP mask and we went to several other doctors for a second and third opinion.. all tests run by high rated doctors resulted in him NOT having sleep apnea even in his deepest stage of sleep. This quack Najjar tried saying my son was SEVERE!

-The doctor tells everyone they have sleep apnea so he can get more money. He will change the technicians studies to make it look like they have sleep apnea if audited - Dirty, blood on the sheets -Bed bugs - Purposely orders tests that aren’t needed to make money - An MSLT (your day study) is to test for Narcolepsy only. My son had been a patient of Dr. Najjar since 2015 and only saw him once in 3 years. We didn't have a problem with his nurse practioners until his last visit in October. She couldn't explain the tests that were run on my son and told him to GOOGLE it!! Will not be going back!

Love my CPAP, feel so much better. Love the technicians there mine made the experience not be as dreadful as I thought. Took one star off because furniture/ decor needs updated. They did put in new beautiful wood floors since my first visit so it seems like they are working on the decor. I would recommend.

I had a study at his Madison location and my son had his day study at the Decatur office. Shayla was great.

Went to Dr. Najar for my third opinion. Originally went to Crestwood and was told I had sleep apnea, wasted thousands of dollars on equipment and did not feel a difference. Next stop was Huntsville Hospital, they told me not the slightest bit of sleep apnea and that Cpap supplies was not needed. Just to make certain I went and got a third opinion at Najars and he said to save my money I do not have sleep apnea. Nasty, Nasty, Nasty. i have been here many times and over four years only seen the doctor one time. each time i go i am put into a nasty room filled with dust. air unit is so full of garbage it spews out onto the ceiling. the shirts are not washed well, looks like urine spots on most and they are beige from wear. the ceiling fan blades are caked with dust from moving the dirty air in the room. trash can was not emptied from the night prier. i sat in the lobby with Nat's flying around, who know

Been going since 2011; and had good experience, but last couple years only seen Dr. Najjar a very few times. Not that the practioners aren’t qualified, but they’re not my doctor. Have asked for Najjar, but then he no shows. Thinking about changing doctors. Must have faith in your doctor, not his helpers.

Dr &NP are both knowledge, & helpful in you getting good care. The facility; however is very out dated & needs improvement. Otherwise I would rate it higher. Day or night sleep studies are done at his office, which is very convenient. Breathing test, echo are also performed here. Again very convenient.

No patient care at all!!! The doctor doesn't even provide healthcare to his employees! Only cares about money ! They don't even have a registered sleep tech to do the sleep studies! High turnover in employees , which is due to management! Very unprofessional business. No employee or patient loyalty! I feel horrible for the patients that pay for their services! You will never see the doctor! The business cannot even pay their employees right, or the people they have do work for them!

Dr Najjar is a really good doctor. The staff is very nice also.

Dr. Najjar is very unprofessional. He doesn't like to stick around for any questions you may have. If you have a loved one in the ICU please do not allow him to be your Dr. He orders unnecessary tests and he keeps patients on life support far longer than they should be. Overall I wouldn't trust him with my dog. Smh

He has been my doctor since 2011, but I have not seen him but 1 or 2 times in 2years or more. The p;roblem is when I am paying for a doctor I would like to see that doctor. I have requested to see only him but doesnt work. Another thing is the billing process..If they have a new person in office and not approved by insurance co yet, then you have to call and fight with insurance co to not bill OUT OF NETWORK. big hassle..happened to me twice now.

Had appointment set for today that I had rescheduled for later in the week. Over weekend I received text messages and automated calls for appointment today so I went in did test and cancelled appointment for later in week. After I left I received a call from them asking why I missed today's appointment. I explained I went did test and cancelled appointment for later in week that I had originally rescheduled to. Got informed they didn't put in I came nor cancelled appointment for later n week.

They are an AWFUL place to go to. I *worked* there and they are horrible to patients and staff. All they care about is money. They schedule too many patients in a time slot and are way behind with appointments. Patients have complained of bed bugs in various rooms with nothing being done. The doctor and manager are degrading towards women. When patients make complaints, they do nothing about it. They do not care about anything except being paid by insurance.

Ive asked to speak to/make an appt with the doctor several times and have been told that was not possible due to office procedures and becuz he wasnt in the office. Ive never seen him and i was evaluated as having a life changing disease by a person who has less education than i do!

Super nice staff who are very knowledgeable in their profession.

Dr. Najjar was very knowledgable and took care of all of my needs! The staff was very friendly and professional. I would recommend this office to anyone in need of pediatric and adult sleep medicine.

He keeps overcharging my insurance. I have been using him for the past two years and have only seen him twice. His nurses are never the same, always has new staff when I go for appointments. Keeps asking for test that I do not need just to bill my insurance. Would not recommend him as a good doctor.

As others have pointed out and I've been seeing and hearing, Najjar orders a bunch of extra tests that cost insurance a lot of money and his reasons are absurd, since many tests have been done very recently, yet he wants to re-do and re-do them again and again, also double bills insurance, have seen ALOT of things that are just WRONG, but what are you going to do when he's all your insurance takes in the area, if you got choices, don't choose Najjar, Decatur Sleep and Pulmonary!!

Arrived for a sleep study and was too they overbooked, so they wouldn't have a bed for me. Wait over 30 minutes before being called back for an appointment with no one else in the office, and I have only met Dr. Najjar twice in several years, you see another Dr.They also are constantly recommending extra tests that you do not need. Not who I'd recommend.
