This woman misdiagnosed my son 23 years ago and it almost killed him. I was a 25 yr old first time mom. He was projectile vomiting at a month old. She said to me. Spitting up is normal. I took him for a second opinion. And he was rushed into emergency surgery that day with pyloric stenosis. Guess this first time mom was right huh.

I go up to walk into the doctor's office with the kids and I have my mask on and then the nurse there, Sierra, wants to yell at me because I don't have masks on all three of them and then I asked her if she has any and she gets them hands them to us and says if they take them off once we're going to get kicked out and have to cancel our appointment. Then I walked in and I was trying to tell her I wasn't arguing with you about not wearing any I just didn't have any and then she wants to scream at me and cause a whole scene in the middle of the doctor's office, cussing at me, telling me she'll go get Dr mora and have her throw me out, and then continues on with me while we we're in the triage room for my daughter who can barely breathe as it is i told her look I really don't want to talk about it anymore with you. She then decided to go around and tell the whole doctor's office that we were refusing to wear masks when that wasnt what happened she created the incident that wasn't even there. We weren't refusing to wear masks. Nobody was. I'm sick, all 3 kids are sick, no I was not thinking about masks honestly just the fact that my daughter was gasping for air! A medical establishment shouldn't be able to act this way to anybody this was completely unprofessional and were switching to a different office. All the doctor could tell me was "oh wow sorry. Normally we'd get a office manager but we don't have one" go figure. Nobody was apologetic nobody cared about the children that I had with me hearing any of this, just not okay. On a whole different note, I wouldn't bring my child here if they have any special medical issues, they go unaddressed, every kid is just another patient number to them, we are moving pediatricians. After 8 years as a special forces medic I am comfortable with empiric medicine using the tools I have at home and over the counter medication. My one year old daughter had a few symptoms of a cold and after conducting a check of the ears , (otoscopy), I confirmed there was a redness around the tympanic membrane (TM) of her left ear, due to either infection, pressure, or both. Dr.Mora told me that they were shiny and I should look to the internet for examples of good and bad TMs. 6 days later my daughter was diagnosed with bi-lateral ear infections and sinusitis. While I could understand the hesitation for rushing towards antibiotics as many providers do, this wasn’t that. I was told to look up good and bad as if I didn’t already know it, told that shiny was indicative of “good”, and after the appointment if I needed anything to call and ask for her. After the ER trip I called, left a message, two days later I called again, left another message, and on the third day the (very genuinely polite) woman from the front called to pass on Dr.Mora’s message that I should take her to urgent care. I’ve been taking my son to Dr.Mora for the past 4 years and I’m currently pregnant and still planning on coming here! I see people talk about her being “rude or insensitive” but I don’t take her that way at all. She is very blunt and too the point which is what I love about her, there’s no room for second guessing something she’s said. I always trust her opinion and I can tell she genuinely cares and wants the best for her patients. She’s an introvert like me so I can see where people can misjudge her but she’s honestly a really good and knowledgeable pediatrician that I trust. I love this pediatrician Doctors office. I have been going to Middleburg Pediatrics for my kids for over 12 yrs now. My kids love Ayumi also and are very comfortable around her. She is great with my daughter who has asthma and always knows right what to do and what's wrong. They definitely deserve their 5 stars! :)

Horrible bedside manner my 10 yr old ADHD daughter, had nerve to correct my child multiple times for her merely repositioning on the table. Nope

Theres a reason why they have such bad rating!! Stay away. They're all rude there even customer service!! They even charge a fee for shot records...you know the shots you paid them for.

I can forgive the look of a place; it's not very impressive and a little out of the way. However, the receptionist was friendlier than the people who took my baby's vitals. I also don't appreciate being talked down to, or having someone assume I don't know how to change a diaper.

They're not helpful in the slightest when it comes to insurance... The receptionist is very rude on phone and in person. Highly disappointed, been going there for four years. Time for a change or a new staff.

Terrible. In the office the people are ignorant and have no respect when you do not speak English well. I advise Pediatric Orange Park. There are professionals of high quality.

I have been contemplating on whether to write a review for this practice or not, but I would like to warn other mothers of this pediatric and share my experience. I was new to florida and just had my first baby and the hospital said that Dr. Maria E. Mora was recommended for my area, so I went with her as my child's primary physician. As a child, I had acid reflux as a baby and I was very worried as my son was showing symptoms and having trouble with choking during the night in the hospital. At his first visit a few days after he was born, I brought this up and she brushed it off and said it was nothing to be concerned about and that it was probably just being a scared new mother. So the next visit, she was nice, but the next visit, each concern I would bring up, she'd brush them off again. My son had to be taken to the hospital because he had a fever over 102 at 3 months so they ran a catheter through his penis and took blood and found out he also had an ear infection. So they said to follow up with his PD so the next day, I took him to Dr. Maria and of course he was sore, but she yanked his Penis skin down and made him bleed! I was very upset about this, but to top it off, she didn't even check his ears which was what he was there for!! I was furious. After a few weeks or month, my son became very ill and wouldn't eat like he should (breastfeed) and had a very stuffy nose and cough so I scheduled an appointment and brought him in. Dr. Maria examined him and asked how often I was feeding him (he was almost 4 months) and I told her I feed him on demand but usually every 2 hours or less. She then said to wait every 3 hours to feed him even if he's hungry, to make sure my breasts get full. By this point I was very upset because I did not come in for her to critique how often I nurse him, but because he WASN'T nursing and was clearly sick. I left and immediately called around at other Pediatrics and found one called Angel Kids Pediatrics which was 45 minutes from my house, but if it would be better for my son, the distance didn't matter. I scheduled an appointment for my son and immediately fell in love. They are so kind and listen to your concerns and have a kid friendly enviornment. Also, they have a separate sick room whereas dr. Maria e mora has one waiting room and there is no color or toys or books. My son continued to stop nursing as often as he should, so I made another appointment to angel kids and they examined him and found out he still had 2 ear infections, but then the doctor said she wanted to check him for a few other things such as RSV since he was having trouble with his nose coughing, and different breathing. The results came back positive for RSV and she gave me lots of information on what to watch for and how serious it is and even gave me a hospital grade nose suction which is the best! Anyways, the rest is more about angel kids and how great they are, but I am thankful that Dr. Maria E mora was my first pediatric experience because if not, I wouldn't be as grateful as I am for finding such a great pediatric such as angel kids. I hope whoever is reading this to take all that I have said into consideration because our children are our lives and deserve the absolute best and my experience was far from that. Can never speak to who I need to and lady at front desk wouldn't give me the fax number so send over paperwork for my daughter to receive personal care services for her autism. It's an hour away from me and I plan on switching Dr.'s soon.

I will never take my child back to Dr. Mora. I made an appointment, because he clearly had an ear infection. I stressed that when I called and when he was seen by Dr. Mora. She said she would have the office get a referral and they would call me once it was complete. My husband and I never received a call. My husband called twice after not hearing back from them in 10 days and they said they would call back tomorrow. When I didn't receive a call today and it was already after 3pm, I called again. Dr. Mora never documented the ear infection or that she stated she would have the office get the ENT referral, so they said he would have to come in again to be seen for the exact same thing. My son has severe autism and has been with her for almost 9 years. She is always great with him. She knows he is terrified of the doctors and tries to make his experience more comfortable. Her staff has always been friendly. Never a bad experience.

PARENTS BEWARE!!! I WOULD NEVER TALE MY CHILD TO SEE HER AGAIN. SHE SAYS SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS GOING TO GET MY SON A REFERRAL TO HIS ENT WHEN I WAS THERE AS HE HAS AN EAR INFECTION AND IS ALREADY ESTABLISHED WITH ENT (HE HAS TUBES).
