See review for Colorado Sleep Institute. These "providers" are so bad I want to warn people away from all the different names they do business under.

Three or four years ago, I did the overnight sleep study and subsequent consultation with Dr. Mark Hickey. I would argue that he is NOT a sleep specialist, but a Sleep Apnea specialist. My breathing obstruction is not apnea, but excessive mucus and postnasal congestion. But he was not interested in discussing this. When I then pointed out that sometimes I can't even GET to sleep in order to have apnea, he said, "Oh, sleep onset insomnia!" And said he didn't deal with that. Sleep specialist? I think not. As a counseling clinical Ph.D psychologist, specializing in Individual, Marriage & Family Therapy in Lexington, Kentucky for almost 30 years, it was a welcomed experience to have Dr. Mark Hickey as my MD for my sleep apnea issues. Mark knows both the art and skill of being a caring physician. From my first appointment, made through "Susie" who so much enjoys working for Dr. HIckey, to all the kind folks who administered my sleep study in the facility next to BCH/Foothills, culminating in my appointment with Dr. Hickey who reviewed and thoroughly explained my test results in a manner easily understood by me. Now, as I write this review of Dr. Hickey just prior to Jesus' RESURRECTION celebration on May 5, 2015, I talked again with Susie and made back-to-back appointments with Dr. Hickey for Thursday, April 21, 2015 @ 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. for both my wife, Judith, and for myself. Judith will have her sleep study explained to her. I will explore my primary issue: why is it I cannot stay awake almost anywhere??? I "nod off" when watching television with Judith; I "nod off" when I hear any sermon preached or when I go to a performance at both the Boulder Dinner Theatre and the Arvada Regional Theatre in Arvada. I nod off after a short time reading a good book. I go to sleep at the drop of a hat when my wife and I watch any television of any consequence.This is extremely troublesome to me . In fact I had planned on going to our home church tonight in downtown Denver: Trinity United Methodist, where Braham's Requiem Mass will be performed by our choir, a full orchestra, and our wonderful organ at 7 p.m. tonight. And I am wondering: can I stay awake long enough worshipping the "mighty acts of God" culminating in the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ who loves us all so very much! But, darn it, I will go and sit in the balcony: that way if I sleep I won't weave like a drunk sailor. And the subconscious will get the effect of the music and the praise to God--as the subconscious never sleeps. Yes, as you deduce: I am tired of going to sleep! Very likely the diagnosis will be: "Dr. Marlowe, you would benefit from a small, non-invasive CPAP mask so you can get more oxygen during the night." ANYTHING DOC! I CAN "SLEEP AFTER I AM DEAD." It seems my wife and I are interdependent in a healthy way: Judith recently was in Boulder Foothills ER two nights ago. She had gotten a terrible flu bug that caused her to become nauseated for 20 hours and had depleted every fluid in her body. Together with the help of a friend, we drove to that ER at 7 p.m. and we came home 6 1/2 hours later, @ 1:30 a.m. During the time she was in the ER, the RN's were watching her vital signs and put her on oxygen. Getting oxygen, together with a powerful anti-nausea drug administered through her IV plus 2 bags of fluid, brought her back into medical stability. All to say: at our age and stage of life, we are very grateful to all of Boulder Community Hospital's professionals who take care of us--especially of Dr. Hickey.
