His staff worked me in. He prescribed, sweet and gentle man and I was all better.

This doctor refused to give me a biopsy of a fungal lesion when I explained I needed it for diagnosis so I could be treated for something that may cause cancer.

Don't waste your time and MONEY with this provider. $60 copay for 5 minutes and for him not to acknowledge what you are saying and to tell you just try OTC meds for hair loss. I'm a referral coordinator & now he's off my list. I'm so embarrassed for the patient that I referred. SMH

Horrible experience. Felt like I was being rushed out of the office and was given horrible medical advice, will be seeking another medical opinion, I feel robbed.

Doctor was not cooperating and impatient when trying to explain to him the condition. Very bad first impression. I don’t ever think I will be back again.

I wish I can give 0 rating/star to this guy. He spent only 2 mins with me, did not even ask any questions, and not even trying to find out what my skin problem is. He did not even recognize the medicine that the previous Doctors prescribed, which is a pretty common one over the counter, he said it was an outdated one and went back to he computer to check and changed his tone to "this is a very good one". what is joke! Then I was charged $145 for 2 mins of consultation. No solutions and no Docs prescriptions! Go somewhere else if you do not like being ripped off. I wish I can give 0 rating/star to this guy. I went to other Dermatologist who misdiagnosed my problem. Dr. Golden was the one that got it right and cured it. I always believe that solving the problem is the main thing I look for in a Doctor. I've had no problem with Dr. Golden, the staff, or getting an appointment. I recommend him!

I went to three dermatologist before I found Dr. Golden. Of all the Doctors he was the only one that correctly diagnosed my problem and cured it. He has been in practice for a long time, and he knows what he is dong. For me that is the main thing; someone that can solve my problem.

Dr. Golden is an excellent physician. He has taken care of my husband & me for years. What a thoughtful, caring person. We are fortunate to have him for our needs. Very professional staff

I went to Dr. Golden twice, both times I was taken aback by his bedside matter. He kept pushing for questions that felt extremely inappropriate, I was 19 and my mom was with me. He kept pushing to know very specifically tell my birth control methods (not just hormonal treatments) and asking intimate details. Being there with my mother was extremely uncomfortable, with other providers, I have typically had a nurse let me disclose these details in private. The cream he prescribed me caused me to have a severe reaction when I went for a waxing appointment and led to the top layer of my skin being ripped off, he gave me absolutely no warning that I shouldn't wax with this cream. I only learned this at my second visit, a year later. This time, the treatment he prescribed me gave me another severe allergic reaction, causing an ER visit.

I have had an intense rash for two months. The 1st time I went to see Dr Golden, I was just prescribed just steroid cream which did not help. The 2nd time I saw Dr Golden I was prescribed antibiotics. Dr Golden did not touch examine or touch me. I became allergic to the antibiotics over the weekend. I called Dr Golden's answering service twice on Saturday. He never called back. I called my General Practitioner who immediately called me back & told me to go to the ER immediately. Dr Golden's office manager called me the next day on Sunday to tell me to stop taking the antibiotics. Dr Golden should have called me himself. I will NOT be back to see Dr Golden.

This guy needs to find a new profession. I went in for the sudden dry patches all over my face. He barely even looked at me, didn’t touch my face. Told me to wash my face with BAR SOAP. And prescribed me a cream. If you have DRY SKIN YOU DONT USE BAR SOAP! I was sooooo disappointed. The cream he prescribed me doesn’t even absorb into my face. This guy is a joke. I wish I'd read some of these reviews before spending my time here. If you're looking for someone that will just treat the symptoms and not focus on the patient or the root cause then you're fine going here. I was very disappointed and he did not answer my questions. Just told me I had a skin condition that I would have to deal with. I went for a 2nd opinion and my new Dr was great at helping to find the issue and listening to me. I wish I'd read some of these reviews before spending my time here. Didn't even look at issue I had. His very conservative approach means he'd rather do nothing.

Did not listen to my issue or concerns. Talked over me instead of listening. Diagnosed me without fully understanding my problem and quickly pushed me out. Shook my hand and said thanks for coming while I was mid sentence explaining problem. Spent less than 5 min with me. Horrible experience, obvious not concerned with patient.

I have seen him twice now. I read other reviews about him having a dry sense of humor but I now know that he is more condescending and aloof than humorous. I had described a skin issue I have been having for almost a year and the various specialist I have seen. He didn't examine the problem areas, gave me a name for what he 'thought' it was (without even seeing it) and then prescribed me medication, saying that once it is healed we will figure out what the problem is. I pushed him a little to explain what would be causing this and he gave me webmd answers about the shampoo I was using and brushed off explaining anything more. I was then 'teased' about simply asking how to use the medication I was being prescribed by him giving me an obnoxious answer about when and how to use the medication. Steady with no-frills patient management. Always punctual in seeing patients who need not worry about claustrophobic incarceration for extended periods in exam rooms without logical explanation from staff. I do recommend Dr. Golden. Also, I like the disposition of the staff from check-in, updates and check-out.

Dr. Golden is the absolute best in the industry of dermatology. I had been struggling with a severe facial irritation for almost a year; had seen another dermatologist and kept on struggling until I was referred to Dr. Golden. I immediately saw phenomenal results within 3 days. It’s been such an amazing relief! Thank you Dr. Golden!

Lack of interest on the doctor's behalf. It seems he has better things to do than listen to my skin problems.

So this doctor has pretty good ratings on here, but I don't know if he's gone old and senile since they were posted or if there are two Michael Gordon's on W. 15th St. In Suite 212. I went in for a burning and itching sensation on my lips that occurs daily for 10-20 minutes, hoping someone can figure out why it's happening. He said he "didn't want to" look at the pictures of the reaction, and told me to "try Vaseline." Considering I've used the Internet before and I'm not a complete idiot, I told him I've already tried this solution and that I've used Vaseline exclusively for a 2 month period with no improvement. He then told me it "sounds like you're arguing with me." In addition, I asked him why I've had freckles appearing in a specific area of my lips, and he told me to "not worry about it right now." This will be the worst $75 you ever spend. Very disappointed with my consultation. My PCP submitted my past consults and labs; Dr. Golden did not bother to review my past treatment methods. He wanted to start me on same antibiotics my PCP had prescribed. He made no effort to take any interest with my concerns. The great reviews are most likely from Botox patients rather than patients with skin concerns. Again, I am extremely disappointed that Dr. Golden did not take the time that I PAID him for to listen to my skin concerns. Very disappointed with my consultation. Just returned from my third visit with Dr. Golden and his staff. If I could give ten stars I would the staff has always been very polite and efficient. Dr. Golden also has been polite, efficient and professional and has handled my issues with care and speed. I've never waited more than 15 minutes to get into see the doctor. Matter of fact today I had a 8:30 appointment got there at 8:10 and was home by 8:40. Sometimes people give bad reviews because it's their fault and won't admit it. Not everyone is going to like a particular doctor or staff but this office is very professional. Just returned from my third visit with Dr. Golden and his staff. Dr Golden is excellent. I trust his recommendations for any of my skin treatments. His staff is extremely professional. I've used him for any of my family's skin. Weds for years.

Did not listen to my concerns nor the fact that I have already attempted the use of antibiotics. He received my previous consultation paperwork and lab reports along with attempted treatment methods; does not seem like he took the time to review those docs. He wanted to use same antibiotics that have not worked. Very disappointed in the lack of interest on his behalf-especially after paying him for his time.

Got there and waited a hour before getting seen. Then when I actually got into the room to see Dr. Golden, he told me oh you have this wait it out. No prescription for my "diagnosis" or anything. Charged me $80 just for a 2 minute visit. Waste of gas and time! Going to see a different dermatologist.

This doctor indicates that he practices pediatric dermatology in addition to regular dermatology so I thought he would be perfect in helping determine why both my two year old daughter and I are both suffering from itchy scalp whereas my husband isn't. They set up a dual appointment for us and that is basically where the positive experience ended. The doctor gave off the impression that he was annoyed by my child even being there. He barely scanned my head or my child's head and then confirmed for me that we did not have lice. Considering that no one around us has ended up itching in the month that we have been itching, I was already 100% sure we didn't have lice. He gave no other thoughts or indication of what he thought the issue might be and then wrote me a prescription for something I couldn't read and that he didn't clearly explain to me. Also, I have quite a few moles that I would have liked for a dermatologist to look at but since he was rude and short with me, when the room wasn't filled with an awkward silence, I opted to just get out of there, since his focus was clearly not on me or my skin issues. Every time a dermatologist tells me I need to remove something, Dr. Golden usually disagrees. Seems to me he would also want to operate if he was self-serving and "money-grubbing". I like him and his staff---they are very nice and down to earth.
