Great care

At my last visit, there was a mix up with the insurance and the claim wasn’t paid. The doctor’s billing team never sent me a bill, never indicated an issue with insurance. I finally received a bill six months after the fact, well after the 90-day window to file a claim was closed. So I’m on the hook for $140 because this billing team can’t/won’t do it’s job? I’ve been unimpressed with this practice for awhile, and I’m done. I do not recommend.

Skin check once a year. Dr. Choucair is very professional and thorough. She spends adequate time and answers my questions

always the best exams. I go 2x a year and have never had a problem. Found cancer and she always takes care of it. I feel very comfortable with Dr. Choucair.

She is a good Doctor,but l am still having problems with my hair falling out and my skin is still have a bad rash for over an month.

Stay away! Don’t waste your time. Horrible experience, worst appointment I’ve ever experienced. Waited 45 minutes in the waiting room and at least 15 in the examination room. She never did a thorough check and asked me what I wanted and then left and sent in nurse. I waited over 40 days for lab results. I finally got a response back from an email saying they would have the Dr get the results. My appointment was 1-28, I got a call back 44 days after the appointment only because I sent multiple emails. Results came in the mail today 3/19/21 ONLY because I requested a paper copy.

I was 10 minutes early for my appointment but waited for over an hour. The doctor asked me what I felt needed looked at but she never did a full look over. This was my first appointment with a dermatologist and expected a complete head to toe check since that’s what the appointment was supposed to be. I asked her about a mole and she said since I told her it was lighter than it use to be not to worry about it, didn’t even check it. My appointment was January 28 and a month later, no contact from her office about lab results. I sent a message on March 5 and got a reply back on March 10 stating they had to call the lab to receive the results. That is 41 days after my appointment essentially telling me they didn’t have an answer. I finally got the results 46 days after the appointment on March 15 and if I hadn’t asked and sent several messages I probably still wouldn’t have the results.

The doctors are excellent!! The nurses/receptionist not at all. They should hire a staff that reflects the level of care they give.

Have been seeing Dr. Choucair Michelle since I was a kid to treat my eczema. Honestly one of the best dermatologists in Troy, Ohio. As a teen, I voiced my desire to really clean up my skin and perfect my skincare routine. She took the time to go through the products I was currently using and talked me through certain ingredients I should avoid due to my skin type and past conditions. I'm currently a patient that has a history of invasive malignant melanoma, they found another spot that required an excision. The procedure has been postponed a total of three times since finding it in January. My new appointment is in August, a total of eight months since discovery. If you want a doctor who cares about your health this is definitely not the office you want to visit.

i had been to this doctor a few years back and then i was not pleased but i thought i would give it another try. never again. it was even worse this time. appt was at 8 am. i need the very first appt so i could get in and out. 9:20 they put me in a room 9:50 nurse came in i told her what i need done and looked at. she left to talk to doc. doc came in agreed and left room 10:10 curse came back in numb me did what they needed to do. doc came in made sure what nurse did was good she did a few things mean while i was never given a gown to change into. i wanted to ask questions about a peel procedure but the doc acted like she didn't have time for me. talking to me as she is going out the door. she told me that i needed to look up the procedures on line then get back to her on what i wanted to do. i left the horrible office at 11:10. never ever again will i go back. here is a news flash doc choucair. MY TIME IS JUST AS VALUABLE AS YOURS. HOW ABOUT I SEND YOU A BILL FOR MY WAGES THAT WERE LOST. I contacted them for areas that needed laser treatment by phone, which they said they could treat and scheduled my appointment. After waiting over an hour in the waiting and examination room, the doctor looked at me no longer than 5 minutes and said she could not help. I get a bill in the mail for $140. Seriously, no help and only a 5 minute exam they said by phone they could do. No wonder people can't afford medical bills. I hope my hard earned money that would take over two hours to make, they enjoy themselves. Took excellent care of my skin issue. I highly recommend!

Saw her for spots on my face. She was very detailed in her exam, asked me questions and in general was very professional. She needed to remove 2 spots, nurse came in and numbed me, and she had them off in 5 minutes, with minimal pain. All in all a very good experience. Had an appointment with Dr Choucair during a recent visit to Dayton. Very knowledgeable doctor. Was seen on time. Staff very friendly. I highly recommend anyone with a skin issue to see dr choucair.

A rip off for sure, took all of $300 of insurance and $60 of my money which I want back and 5 minutes of wasted time to conclude that all I needed was over the counter extra strength benzoyl peroxide, which people with acne already know that's in most face wash medicines. I know I have a ance problem and get big boils every now and then stemming from staff infection still in the blood stream from years ago I got from a Toledo hospital. I had an old bump still on my scalp. She said she can't do anything unless I have an open sore. Well cut it open I said and of course she said she cant. My face cleared up by the time I got my appointment so I had nothing there at that time but a big dance bump, which in itself should be alarming to any doctor. I can picture her roll up in her Mercedes Benz for 3 hours a day ripping people off and making $150,000+ /year. She resembles that weird lady super hero company owner/fashion designer in that incredibles movie. Tiny foreign lady with actual magnifying lenses on her glasses lol. Hmm..interesting reviews. Although I found her all business and not friendly I also saw she was dealing with a handful of patients while I was there [and same as my GPA > the reality of US medicine now]. I only waited 5 minutes and she was efficient in her treatment (including shots, surgery, stitching). I wish she smiled and chit-chatted but she wasn't there for that and neither was I. Horrible experience. I made several appointments, one each for my wife, son, and daughter. When wife went in, naturally over an hour wait, no apology. Doctor walked in and took one look at her and said "thats one of the worst cases I have ever seen of malasma. Read this literature, go on Acutane, no birth control or smoking, come back in six months and maybe i will do some laser surgery." Overall rude and no compassion. Office staff was also extremely rude.

Save your time. Do not go to this Doctor. She is money hungry, and just take biopsies for the money. she will have you waiting there room for an hour for in your gown, and make no apologies about having you wait. She did nine biopsies Bon me a year ago, it when I came back this year with no new moles she wanted to take off nine more. Again the point is she is money hungry and does not care about you as a patient.

Most horrible experience I have ever had with any physician. The nursing staff seemed overworked. After waiting 30 mins in the lobby and 15 on the doc, she came in, looked at my problem spot and said "its psoriasis, use this ointment. It will never go away fully you'll have it recur for the rest of your life, I will call in this prescription and if it doesnt go away come back in a few weeks" She did not explain the condition or allow me to ask questions. I felt stupid and like I wasted my money.

The staff accommodated me quickly when I called about my problem even though she was booked out. Biopsies were made on the same visit, condition was explained to me. Was worth the wait!

This Dr was horrible! I will not be going back. She did not explain anything she was doing to me. I waited over an hour to see her and got 5 min of her time. No apology and had a very rude receptionist that when asked her name she stated "chris". I also overheard the Dr downgrading patients that have molina and caresource! The room walls are very thin. I will never go back or recommend her to anyone. Hopefully, she will retire soon.

I had a bump on my nose that was getting larger, the Dr. Choucair came in to examine it, she had brought a can of a freezing type of spray. she looked at my nose, then took the can and sprayed my nose! No warning to close my eyes or prepare me for what she was about to do. It seemed very unprofessional and she said the bump would fall off, AND IT NEVER DID!!!!! Also her staff were not friendly and sat and gossiped about patients while I waited in the waiting room, RIGHT BESIDE THEM. It's been about 2 years since I visited, but I will never go back. It was my first and only visit. The first problem was that I waited over an hour in the waiting area to be called back. The receptionist never apologized for running behind or let me know how much longer I would have to wait. I work in a medical office, and if a patient ever has to wait more than 15 minutes, you can be sure we are apologizing, and we even give gift cards to patients who have to wait longer than 15 or 20 minutes. So, coming from that experience, I was immediately put off. I was tempted to just leave, but had waited a couple of months for this appointment, so I stayed. Then, once I was finally in a treatment room, the assistant had me explain why I was there (I wanted a full body skin check as I have had a cancerous mole removed in the past) and gave me a gown to change into. Then, I waited at least another 30 minutes for the doctor. When she finally came in, she had me stand up and basically stripped me down completely while she glanced at my skin. She was very quick and abrupt and hardly said a word. I've had this type of exam done in the past, and most doctors are very good about reserving a little bit of your modesty by uncovering one area at a time, but not her. She told me she found a spot on my back she wanted to remove and biopsy. She left the room and the assistant came back to numb the area. The doctor came back in and just cut the spot out. Didn't ask if I had any questions or concerns, didn't let me know why she thought it was suspicious, didn't let me look at the spot to see what it looked like before. I was in the office for about 2 hours, and saw the doctor for a total of about 5 very rushed minutes. I was NOT pleased. Her bedside manner left a lot to be desired. Wonderful experience, Dr Choucair was very good in explaining my problems . She even took a biopsy at the same time to spare me another visit . It was definitely worth the wait!!

I inquired to the Dr and receptionist when making my daughters next appt about a better time of day so I didn't have to wait an hour again for our appt. She was again 1 hour late and spent less than 2 minutes in the room with us. The Dr chuckled at my question and walked away. The receptionist said we could call ahead and see if she was running on schedule. I will give her one more chance with a phone call ahead. I am very close to having her records moved to another practice.

Waited one hour in waiting room another 20 mins in room before seeing Dr. Poor bedside matter. Would not address my concerns. Didn't make eye contact when I was speaking to her..... didn't answer questions

Horrible. Waited an hour and 20 minutes. I was the 2nd appointment of the day. The 1st appointment waited and hour and 10 minutes. Not 1 I'm sorry you had to wait so long. Then I received a voice mail stating 2 of my biopsies came back Basal Cell Carcinoma, they need to remove more and they would see me in Mid Jan. 3 months later!! Not 1 word about how much, how deep, can it spread or a dozen other questions running through my mind. I will now be paying out of pocket to see a GOOD dermatologist!
