Dr Sterling answers questions and his assistant s are kind and helpful. I’m so glad that I was referred to him.

My visit with Dr.Sterling due to pain in my foot for months was a success.He was very helpful in explaining the reasons behind the pain (Plantar Fasciitis)and recommended me to wearing a surgical boot to help with the problem.

Dr. Sterling and his staff are friendly and awesome. You’re in the exam room when it’s your scheduled appointment and staff is doing the necessary procedures before the doctor comes in. I would recommend Dr. Sterling to my family and friends.

I am very pleased with the services of Dr Sterling. His office is calm and relaxing and everyone is pleasant easy to talk with and they always have something positive to tell you to make your day better

This is my second opportunity of being treated by a very caring and helpful Dr Sterling for a foot issue.

I will only go to Dr. Sterling for my feet. When he fix them their done right,no more problems

I am a 74 year old retired Marine aviator and retired Defense Contractor living in Madison, AL. Dr. Sterling put me at ease right away regarding a lump on the top of my foot which contributes to nerve pain. He spoke to me as a professional but in language I could understand and proposed a graduated treatment plan which I am following. Well done Sir. Go to Doc Sterling he will take care of your issues.

I was very pleased with Dr. Sterling. I had dreaded the appointmnet because of ingrown toenails, but he trimmed them without any pain.I recommended him to my friends.

Always appreciate Dr Sterling! He will always be 5 stars- Always. I have one hardship. I needed a follow- up appt and I thought they had provided this. I got home and realized I didn’t have it- I called back to a 45 min hold- wait- still no one came to phone. I wound up going back up to the clinic to actually make follow up appt in person. That was an inconvenience . But everything else was wonderful.

Great doctor, easy communicator!!!

Thanks for seeing me, Dr Sterling! Needed care for an ingrown toenail, and he saw me quickly and took great care of my poor aching foot!

Dr. Sterling is awesome! He comes into the room smiling which puts you at ease. He listens to you and explains everything! My surgery experience was much better than I expected! Would definitely recommend to anyone with foot issues!!

Efficient knowledgeable MD, wait time almost nil. Very detailed explanations.

When I first went to Dr. Sterling many years ago, he was recommended to me. He did my foot surgery. He did a very good job. Many people said I would be in extreme pain, but because of the way he did the surgery, there was very little pain. He really is a great doctor.

I had a great experience with Dr. Sterling. He listened to me as I explained how I came to him and assessed the situation. He is the first podiatrist that treated an issue outside of my reasoning for visiting. He gave me some sound advice on taking care of my feet and I'm looking forward to following up with him.

Dr. sterling is very kind and very thorough of his assessment of my issue. Gave me lots of advice on what I could try to alleviate my pain without meds or surgery. Great bedside manner.

The appointment itself was good. The doctor and nurse were very nice. The supporting staff was very helpful. Waiting time was not too long. However, there was some error made in ordering lab test which resulted in higher bill.

Dr. Sterling is Awesome. He has been treating me for a few years now and has performed surgery on my right foot. He always enters the room with a smile and has an excellent bedside manner.

Dr. Sterling is a soft-spoken, gentle person who immediately puts you at ease. He thoroughly discussed my situation and options, and I appreciated his willingness to try multiple options that don't require surgery - even though it may eventually lead there.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sterling since 2010. He is about to do my 4th surgery in a couple days. He is hands down one of the best dr I have ever seen. He listens to his patients and tries to do everything he can to help with your issues. Would 100% recommend.

Dr. Sterling is an excellent doctor. Years ago, I underwent bunion surgery. Prior to going to any doctor concerning my foot problem, I had so many horror stories about bunion surgery. The stories made me very nervous about visiting a doctor about my problem. Someone suggested that I go to Dr. Sterling. That was one of the best decisions that I have made. Dr. Sterling is WONDERFUL. He has an excellent “bedside manner” and explains things clearly and offers realistic suggestions. I have been dealing with severe plantar fasciitis for a year, and after my ortho didn’t offer much help, I went to Dr Sterling based on recommendations. He was initially conservative in the approach (small cortisone shot in each foot, better insoles (but not expensive), splint to wear for short periods of time to stretch out the tendons, and icing the foot) which completely remedied one foot. The other one required another (bigger dose) shot of cortisone, which helped a great deal. I’m not yet back to 100%, largely due to my own laziness and not following protocol- but when I went for my follow up he commiserated that it can be hard to do that consistently, and instead of making me feel non-compliant, encouraged me to stay the course- saying he’d been in the same boat and knows it’s hard to find the time, but it made the difference for him. He also made what is potentially an extremely uncomfortable shot bearable. I can’t recommend him enough! Athens office staff are very nice, waiting room is not crowded, and I had a fabulous experience. Dr. Sterling is WONDERFUL. Dr. Sterling was an excellent surgeon. I have done so well. I had no swelling and minimal discomfort. I was back in a shoe in 2 weeks (spur on top of my foot). He had come highly recommended by friends and he did not disappoint. I was touched that he prayed with me prior to my surgery. I've never had a surgeon ask if he could pray with me.
