She spent less than two minutes to increase my son's seizure medication and tell us to come back in four months. She did NOT address the lesion on his brain or his increasing aggression. It was apparent from a phone call that she thought he should be seen in psych. Very sad that a professional that claims to love helping to heal people could be so cold. I read her reviews and knew there was a 50/50 chance of getting the caring Dr Torres or the cold Dr Torres. Sadly, we got the cold one who couldn't care less if my son lives or dies. Some of her good reviews are fake. No way any Dr spends 3 hours with a patient. Nice try. Maybe all her good reviews are fake. My wife was really happy with her visit. They spent a good 3 hours going over her charts and history to get a broad brush view of her issue before diving into the details of what might be causing her issues. Her bedside manner is empathetic and caring; she seems to truly want to help with your issues. Most of all I really appreciate the time she took to fully diagnose my wife instead of just spending 15 minutes with her and handing her a prescription. My wife was really happy with her visit. I've seen Dr. Torres for a few years for seizure disorder. She is compassionate, thorough, patient, and highly skilled in her field of expertise. I especially appreciate the care she takes in explaining complex disease pathology and treatment options in a way that I can understand, but without insulting my intelligence. I've been through a few neurologists over the years for my seizure disorder, but Dr. Torres is the first who doesn't talk down to me or rush through our time. She listens patiently, explains aspects of my diagnosis fully, and is careful to work on a treatment plan minimizing side effects. It's clear from the way she talks about epilepsy that she is interested in the underlying science and I love that about her! She is compassionate, too, and has shown kindness to me during rough times that goes above and beyond her profession (while at the same time never overstepping boundaries). I'm normally shy about leaving reviews, but I was so surprised to see the negative ones here that I felt I had to give a different perspective. Epilepsy is a stigmatized disorder and it can be hard, even today, to find a neurologist who fights the stigma and empathizes with the patient (rather than pitying us), so it's rare to find a doctor as skilled and good as Dr. Torres.

I will be getting a third opinion. I was barely able to talk. I am photosensitive and i hit my head falling down concrete stairs. There should have been more testing done. I will not be returning.

I was barely able to get a word in. 26 weeks pregnant and all she did was leave me crying as she hung up on me. She basically said their was no point in seeing me because my type of seizures are "fake". For a person with a degree in neurology to say this is beyond me, completely unsympathetic, and unprofessional. I will be following up w my previous neurologist that cared about my well Being. I work in healthcare and feel that Dr. Torres is an exceptional, extremely knowledgeable and compassionate provider. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is in need of an excellent Neurologist.

I have seen Dr. Torres for a number of years after I started having seizures. The negative reviews I have read about her really surprise me. I think she is a peach! I have mental illness and it doesn't seem to bother her, thank goodness! She always seems interested in what I have to say.

I used to see her for years, but I got a new doc because Dr. Torres became uncaring, and at times unprofessional. Most recently, I had to wait over an hour to see her because she overslept, and stopped for food/drinks before she showed up. There have been several times where my scripts were wrong, and they don't respond to refill requests from the pharmacy. After waiting more than a week of no response, I finally asked my GP to fill it until I could get in to see another doctor. zero stars!

Very informative. Best doctor I've had.

A doctor that waves her degree around but doesn't care for the patient. If you want this one she's not worth your time since you're not worth hers.

Always listens with genuine concern focuses on the best direction of care. Knows the history before appointment so there is no time wasted in one on one time. A profectinisit in her calling.
