Dr. Nish S Shah

I felt like I was being held against my Will until I paid for a procedure that was covered by my insurance. Donna and Stella argued with me, saying that a scan was not covered by insurance. I previously verified with my insurance that it was covered. I was forced to pay before they would let me leave. I waited two weeks and called my insurance to find that Donna only submitted my office visit to the insurance and failed to submit the scan. I called Dr Shah’s office to once again plead with Stella to confirm with my insurance that the scan was covered. It was not until I threatened to have my credit card charges reversed that Stella verified the scan was covered. It has been nearly two months the insurance has paid the bill (at a discount compared to what I was charged because they are in network) plus I have paid the bill. This is now turned into insurance fraud for payment twice of the same procedure. I have yet to receive payment in return. Dr. Shah was great but the staff is very argumentative and not worth the aggravation.

Dr Shah is competent and thorough.

As previously stated, 10 out of 10, 5 star rating.

If I could give Dr. Nish zero stars I most definitely would. I went to him on a referral from my primary dentist for two dental implants. I waited to write this review until I had been there for my follow up as well as uncovering of my post. Just to make sure that it wasn’t a fluke first occurrence. He has no “bedside manner”. He rushes through absolutely everything as if he is defusing a bomb and has 10 seconds left. He didn’t explain the procedure clearly or in it’s entirety. They don’t let you wake up completely from anesthesia, they literally walk you side by side to the X-ray and shuffle you out the back door half awake. EXTREMELY rough all the way around. After the post were implanted my face. neck and even chest was bruised and swollen for three weeks. Having him uncover the posts six months later was just the same. Extremely rough and working at warp speed with no attention to detail, or respect for the patient. 100% run!!

I needed two emergency extractions. Dr. Shah knew I was nervous and went the extra mile to explain the procedure in detail. He and his staff were very friendly and professional.

I called because a general dentist broke my tooth during extraction and then was unable to get the remaining root tips out. They got me in within 3 days and made room on their schedule to fit me in. From the front office staff to the assistant and Dr. This place is beyond a 5 star rating. They make you feel like a top priority. The procedure was flawless and afterwards they call to check up. Top notch! I will forever refer anyone needing an extraction to this office.

I first got Periodontic disease in my mid 20's, I am now 69, I have seen a lot of Dentists and other oral specialist in those years. Dr. Shah is the best.

Dr. Shah saved my jaw due to his innovative techniques, allowing me to avoid surgery and possible jaw replacement.

I was a walk-in appointment with Dr. Shah after being referred from another dental office. The visit was to remove a broken fragments from a right lower wisdom tooth extraction. At that visit, I was given more pain medication but was not enough to take away any of the discomfort. Afterward, I was assured that the fragments had been removed. On my follow up appointment, I explained that I was still having pain and discomfort. I explained to the dental assistant that I felt something in the socket. The assistant flushed the socket and seem to think that there was something there (tooth fragment). Dr. Shah was called in to examine the socket but felt that there was nothing there. Although I was still having pain, I was again assured that everything was okay. However, I continued to wait for the pain to subside but did not. The area has closed, but there are times when I cannot lay on my right side because of pain, discomfort, and swelling.

Dr Shah is very personable and knowledgeable. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. So glad that my dentist recommended him.

At first appointment in October, I was very impressed with the Dr and all the staff. I've had 2 problems, unrelated to implant, since then. Both times I was seen same day I called and appointment for next day. The office is available 24/7 by phone which is great as my procedures were both on a Friday. I highly recommend this practice.

Good first visit. Needed evaluation for fracture of jaw a from fall. Dr. Shah was thorough and explained things well. Made follow up appointment. Left feeling very satisfied.

It was our consultation for my grandson. Very pleasant atmosphere comfortable setting everyone there was awsome very right to see in I feel my grandson will be in great hands with Dr. Shah.

Dr. Shah explained the procedure than my dentist and his team was very helpful. The wisdom removal was quick and he helped me with everything for my long journey across country. Minimal pain, but lots of antibiotics for the next week.

Dr. Shah was very quick and took my teeth out in very short period of time! The whole process was much easier than I imaged.

Dr Shah has been my oral surgeon for the last 9 yrs. Professional, gracious, caring, efficient, and he even appreciates my wacky sense of humor. He has never hurt! My only complaint would be his office is always freezing! I just bundle up.

Dr Shah was very professional and informative. Explained everything in easy to understand terminology. The actual procedure, extraction, done fast with a minimum of trauma. No excess bleeding and no pain afterwards. Highly recommend.

I would recommend Dr. Shah . He explains what he is doing and seems to care about your treatment. I also like his conservative approach.

Very professional! Were able to get my elderly mother in right away. Everyone was helpful and took care of her needs. We did have to wait over an hour in the office due to an emergency surgery that came up, however they kept us posted. Would highly recommend their facility. Returning for additional work that is needed.

Positively outstanding in every way. Prior to my tooth extraction and first step of implant procedure, he made me feel a full part of the process in a very positive and encouraging way. During the procedure, he worked fast, surely and confidently, while keeping me advised of progress whenever appropriate. This is a Doctor who really knows his profession and genuinely cares about his patients!

Dr. Shah and his staff our wonderful and make me feel relaxed and welcome. I have had issues with tmj and Dr. Shah has been helping me in so many different way to try and make me feel more comfortable so that I no longer experience all the pain I have been having. If for any reason my children should have to see Dr. Shah I know that they also will feel ?? percent comfortable with him.

We researched very thoroughly before choosing Dr Shaw for a pretty complicated jaw surgery which required breaking both the lower and the upper jaw in 2 places. The bad news is that I would up having a very very rare complication, but the good news is that Dr. Shaw worked with us to both correct the problem & control our extra cost to fix it. I can’t say enough about Dr. Shaw’s commitment to his patients. When it’s time for my son’s jaw correction the only surgeon I trust to take care of him like family is Dr. Shaw.

Excellent! He is professional and also very friendly. He explained my procedure very thoroughly and answered all my questions. I was more relaxed when I left and feel confident I am in good hands for the surgery.

Dr. Shah and the entire team at AZ Oral did a great job with wisdom teeth extraction for our teen son. From the consultation through each interaction leading to his sendoff, everyone was professional, caring and helpful. Our son had no issues with the extraction and we followed our post-op care instructions very carefully. Highly recommend this practice.

I never knew anything like this existed anymore. Kind, courteous, friendly, very efficient with a very high level of professionalism. The receptionists welcomed me and I felt like I had known them all my life. Karishina(Dr. Shah's assistant)was very knowledgeable, professional, considerate, and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Shah came in and explained everything in detail about the procedures and answered all my questions. This what all medical facilities should aim to be. The very best.

I had two wisdom teeth extracted today. The staff was excellent and Dr. Shah did not only perform my procedure but he had also performed dental surgery on my youngest daughter. My experience today was pleasant...:) My special regards to Donna and Jessica. Yes I would go to him again and recommend this office to my family and friends.

I had an overall very good experience with Dr. Shah. His office staff is personable and patient, one might even say kind. New patients even receive a "gift" which is very practical for AZ. He is very good with patients and allayed my anxieties except that a week between consult and procedure just served to enhance my anxiety. He could do a better job of explaining his procedure and the need for it. But, I think he repaired the scars of minor injury entirely and I'm happy about that.

I had a complicated extraction with Dr. Shah. He was amazing!! He and the staff were kind and sensitive during the procedure. He was able to complete the extraction without issues. I am so grateful that I was referred to Dr. Shah and his team.

Dr Shah has both good bedside manner (explaining my wisdom teeth extraction well) as well as good technique (little pain after the procedure!) The whole thing went smoothly and he personally called me the next day to check in. Overall fantastic job. The only ding I give is that the office was running about an hour behind the morning of my surgery, at 9:30am.

Friendly and helpful staff who ensure that you understand the process and what to expect before, during and after. Had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted with no issues and very good recovery. Highly recommend Dr Shah.
