Dr. Patty K Young

Dr Young is hands down the best doctor I've ever met. Her office staff is always friendly. She is probably the most capable doctor I've ever met. Her procedures are down to a tee. I just wish she had an office closer to Colorado.

I love Dr. Young and her staff! I am going on 6 months post op and cannot be any more happier with my results. Dr. Young’s bedside manner was the best, she took her time and made me feel so comfortable when I had my consult. She was actually the only consult I had, when I left her office I just knew she was the one. Post op care is also super important and her and Marchel have been so attentive and patient with me. Dr. Patty Young did an AMAZING job with my surgery. By far the best bedside manner I've ever had. Both she and Marchel were there to help and answer any questions I had every step of the way. My only regret is that I wish I'd found her sooner!

Dr. Young may be a great doctor, but I did not stick around to find out after dealing with the most unprofessional front staff. After confirming appt with me for 1:00, there was no one present. I sat and waited for over 20 minutes. No one there. No one to even state we will be with you shortly. No one to let us know anyone is even there, We are running behind, nothing. Another patient who was scheduled with little children had to ask me how long I had been waiting or if I knew anything, since no one had shown face at all. She even wondered if they had scheduled us during their lunch hour. When someone finally came up to front desk, no apology for the wait was given. Nothing was even stated. I asked what time I could expect to be seen, since front desk had been made aware beforehand that my husband would be coming from work to keep the kids during this appointment... front desk Beverly, then walked to another lady by her, took her mask off (defeats the entire purpose of a mask) to "vent" to her coworker bc she was frustrated with a patients understandable question ? right infront of me, while I'm standing at the receptionist window. That was the most unprofessional thing I've witnessed, and from someone maybe 30 years older than me ? I immediately knew this was NOT the quality of service I would care to spend my money and time on, asked her to cancel my appt, and left. I have worked front desk in medical field for many years, and I know, that is not how you treat patients. Front desks job is to be present, welcoming, and make a patient feel valued and cared for. The initial experience had at the front, sets the tone for everything to follow. Dr Patty Young and staff are some of the most caring and compassionate individuals in the medical field. I had two procedures done by Dr Patty Young and do not regret them. Dr Young cares about her patients. Dr Young staff are very helpful as you navigate the process pre-op and are very helpful with post-op process as well. TC

I should of wrote this post a long time ago but I went to Dr. Young in 2016 when I was injured at another hospital and my nerves were damaged in my arm so I had to have a radial and axillary nerve surgery in 2017. I have an 8 inch scar from my shoulder almost down to my elbow and another scar going across my elbow. The scars are so fine that they hardly visible unless someone really looks. Dr. Young is one of the most compassionate doctors I have ever been to. I have not ever had a doctor sit with me knee to knee in her office opening up medical books and explaining the nerve injury to me and what happened to the nerves. If I had the money to do cosmetic surgery I would definitely go to her. What a great experience with Dr. Young! I had breast augmentation surgery with her and could not be more pleased with the results. Her entire staff is amazing and the recovery has been great. Strongly recommend her for any plastic surgery!

I really want to go see this doctor but my appointment has been rescheduled twice this is very unprofessional. I work in the medical field and I am just not understanding how the office staff knows nothing. Whenever the office staff calls they just tell me they have no control over when she is going to do surgery and then contradict themselves and say well she has surgery days and clinic days. So what is the point of scheduling an appointment then? I feel like I am wasting my time with this doctor. What if I have surgery and on my post-op appointment she just cancels? She has great reviews but with hassle I am facing now just setting up an appointment I should just find another provider. My daughter was bit in the face by a dog and immediately went to the ER. We were so blessed that Dr. Young was the Plastic Surgeon on call. She was so kind and considerate about the "life altering" event that traumatized my daughter ( who has aspirations for a career in cosmetics). She carefully and skillfully stitched up the cut resulting in a speedy recovery leaving a minimal (fine-line) scar.The follow up and treatment by Dr. Young and her team was a priority, proactive and handled with genuine care. The older I've become the more I've relied on doctors to keep my body in good working order. Most offices these days seem to be a cattle call and not a lot of stopping, explaining and/or genuine care. When faced with nerve damage from a shoulder replacement Dr. Young was recommended. After my first visit I knew she would be able to help. Although i did not need any surgical help, she was amazing to sit and talk with. I met with Dr. Young and her staff in early September and this coming Monday I am scheduled for surgery. I cannot praise this team highly enough. Absolutely everyone I met in the office was warm, welcoming, and put me completely at ease. Dr. Young spent a great deal of time with me. Not only did she explain the procedure in detail, but she really took the time to get to know me as a person. Each staff member exhibited the perfect blend of professionalism and genuine kindness. I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer on August 10, 2017. I had my first visit with Dr Young on September 21, 2017 and she talked with my husband and I until all our questions were answered. Dr Young has been on my journey from the start with my bilateral mastectomy on September 27,2017. She worked with my surgeon to ensure my breast area would be ready for reconstruction after chemotherapy and radiation. Dr Young is one of the most caring comforting doctors I have ever met. She truly cares about her patients and wants the very best for them. The whole office is always there to help you wherever you call. Dr Young did my reconstruction surgery on May 7,2018 and did my exchange surgery on July 16,2018. It has been a long journey but Dr Young has made me feel like a woman again. I really want to go see this doctor but my appointment has been rescheduled twice this is very unprofessional. Let’s just say, sadly I really liked Dr. Young at first and she spent a lot of time with me on the first appointment and even on a follow up appointment, but due to the total incompetence of her office staff and especially her main woman Marchel Daniel, there was a complete misunderstanding of my situation with my personal story and the communication between doctors and Marchel telling Dr. Young whatever she wanted to tell her after me trying to call her, pleading with them to schedule me for surgery for a clear case of thoracic outlet syndrome. They haven’t cared about how much pain I live in and give me, let me back up... MARCHEL made excuses as to what they were waiting on in scheduling surgery time and time again! And then I got a random phone call from Medical City Plano telling me I had surgery scheduled for Oct. 2nd which was never discussed but due to unfortunate circumstances with Dr. Young’s personal life, she was moving an 8 hour surgery to that day and kicked me off and they wouldn’t even reschedule a surgery for me until they could “talk” with Dr. Young. So I sympathized and allowed her more than a week to do what she needed to do. But as many know when looking on Google for Dr. Young, you first note she is a plastic surgeon so although I am strictly speculating, I can only assume she cancelled my surgery for one that was strictly elective when I am here living in terrible pain and desperately asking for help for legit medical issues and possibly having nerve damage for life thanks to her and her staff pushing me to the side. So that happens and next thing I know my pain managements office is trying to get to the bottom of why my surgery got cancelled and her staff informs them that I cancelled both a past appointment and that exact surgery THEY CALLED ME TO CANCEL! It has been all such a nightmare, but every time you call, MARCHEL gives a million excuses and swears they haven’t forgotten about me and that Dr. Young would be looking at everything on Tuesday Oct. 10th, but it is now Tuesday Oct. 17th and still haven’t heard ANYTHING from Marchel! I am just so defeated by being treated so terrible by mainly her staff. In Dr. Young’s defense I really don’t even know if Marchel actually tells her everything you call about to ask or inform her of and/or if she even notifies her at all that you have called. I would like to believe that she doesn’t because Dr. Young truly seemed to care when speaking with me and took great interest in my care, and was given extremely wonderful remarks by other doctors including my pain management doctor at first, but that has since faded for obvious reasons. It’s sad, and I hate to say this but I truly think Marchel likes making you suffer, and has no real business being in this type of business dealing with people AT ALL!!!! Stay far away because Marchel because will make your life a living nightmare, unless you are I guess paying them big bucks to win the prime surgery spots, but they aren’t in the business of taking care of cases that are true emergencies and have detrimental consequences for people suffering from chronic neck and back pain along with severe thoracic outlet, so save yourself and just find yourself a surgeon that makes you life easy all the way around and makes the process much easier. They say if you have to try too hard to get something done, there must be a reason why and this is so very true once again and this case proves it. Marchel McDaniel will make your life hell and not any amount of skills will make Dr. Young worth while although she was lovely and I truly feel like wanted to help more than I was able to readily see but how I was treated over the past couple of months was like I wasn’t worth their time! Update: On this past Monday, October 23rd I received thoracic outlet surgery by Dr. Greg Pearl in Dallas who is world renowned and soooo unbelievably incredible in every way. I highly recommend him, he’s been such a blessing! And did the surgery in 2 hours versus her 4 hours, I guess because she isn’t nearly as good of a surgeon. Dr. Pearl is the best! I had a spot of Basal Cell Carcinoma on my chest and was scared to have a dermatologist remove it based on where it was so I was referred to Dr Young by a friend and had her remove the spot. The scar healed really wide and thick so she suggested cutting it out a second time in 2 halves to help make it smaller. She cut out the bottom half and it had a hard time healing, the stitches kept splitting and it got a small infection. She then suggested giving me a cortisone shot to help it heal faster. My first mistake was letting her cut it out twice and my second mistake was letting her give me this cortisone shot, well it finally healed and then the scar atrophied and turned really dark, it looked like a hole in my chest. I went to a different plastic surgeon for a second opinion and he said why would she ever give you a cortisone shot, she should have never done that, that can cause atrophy. He tried injecting it with saline which did nothing and 9 months later I've had 2 fat injections where they took fat from my leg and injected it into the scar, extremely painful and expensive. It has been a never ending nightmare that I feel like is Dr Youngs fault and I wish she could be responsible for the financial burden that its been. I would never go to her for any surgery again no matter how good of reviews she has. I have worked for Dr Young for 17 years. She is amazing as a boss but more importantly as a physician. In all my years, I've loved seeing how she cares for EVERY patient. She is an incredible surgeon with great bedside manner and amazing results. I have personally had a tummy tuck and liposuction and could not be any happier with my results. Dr Young and her staff are amazing! I was referred to Dr Young by one of the OR nurses and She was right. Dr Young cares so much for all her patients and does beautiful work. She is very careful and wants to ensure that each patient has the best outcomes with no complications. She made sure that I had her cell number and that if I had any concerns to call call her over the weekend. I was able to call the office with any questions and they were also very quick to respond. I have waited a week with no response to get the results of my X-ray that was faxed to Dr. Young's office. My phone call doesn't get returned. I will move on to another doctor.

Dr. Young is by far the best, most compassionate doctor, best bedside/office manner than any doctor I have ever been to. Dr. Young did a nerve surgery on my arm that was injured pretty severely. I couldn't move my arm, wrist or hand and I didn't know if I would ever get any function back before seeing Dr. Young. I am very happy to say that my arm, wrist and hand move again after my nerve surgery and I don't have to wear my wrist brace any longer. I highly recommend this doctor and her staff.

My son was a patient of Dr. Young's. He had a football injury in October that caused severe nerve damage to his peripheral nerve, due to a misdiagnosed hematoma at our local ER. Three doctors before Dr. young told my son that he'd never walk normal again, have use of his foot & surely never play football again! We came to Dr. Young, & after one surgery & therapy, my son regained feeling & movement back in his leg/foot. He played spring ball and is ready to start the fall season. I'm thankful!

Dr. Patty Young is the most passionate doctor i'very ever met. From the time I walked into the door for my first visit to my surgery to my many visit since, I knew she was the perfect doctor for me. Beverly the esthetician at Dr Young's office is the absolute best. MY wife Donna had been to other places previous to Dr Young's but they were not as thorough. A happy wife makes a happy home!
