I broke both ankles Monday morning. I spent the day Urgent Care & ER. I was discharged & told to contact an orthopedic. I called the Dr they referred but had to leave voicemail. Called again on Tuesday morning - same thing. A friend suggested Cornerstone. Called them & I was in with Dr. Leland 1 hr later & surgery scheduled for Friday. Surgery was successful and Dr. Leland & team have been quick at answering questions over the weekend. I will absolutely go to Dr. Leland/Cornerstone whenever an orthopedic procedure is required. They have been very professional & reassuring.

Dr. Leland performed a total ankle replacement on February 1st 2023. I’m seven week post op and am in physical therapy, walking is now pain free and am even riding my E-bike. Dr. Leland answered all of my.questions and I felt comfortable with him. He has a top notch team both in the operating room and office. If you are considering ankle surgery or have ankle pain I highly recommend you contact Dr. Leland to get an expert evaluation.

Dr.Leland performed a total ankle replacement on my right ankle February 1st 2023. I’m seven weeks post op and am doing great. I’m walking pain free and even riding my E-bike. Dr. Leland answered all my questions and concerns and I felt comfortable with him. He and his top notch team in the operating room and in the office made the whole experience great. Very professional! If you have ankle pain or have been told you need surgery I highly recommend that you contact Dr. Leland to get an expert evaluation.

I saw Dr Leland 2 times - once 3 weeks after a severe sprain and fracture in my ankle and again almost 4 months later when the pain was still there and no further improvement from PT. At my first visit, he actually said if it hurts don't do it and come back in 6 to 8 weeks if it still hurts. I requested PT and did that for 2 months. On my second visit, he took additional xrays but did not comment on them or the PT, and did not offer any help. The next day I went elsewhere for a second opinion and the fracture still has not healed after 4 months, which he did not note after the xrays, and the ankle needs surgery to stabilize it. I will not be going back to him.

I had emergency surgery on my elbow after a bicycle accident. Dr. Leland was the surgeon on call and I am very happy he was. He was very supportive during the healing process (I broke my pelvis, too) Appointments were efficient and staff was phenomenal. Shout out to Kerry for scheduling hardware removal according to my limited schedule. After the removal of the hardware six months later, my elbow is strong and as good as new just one month after surgery.

Dr Leland is an amazing surgeon. He operated on my left foot 12 years ago. When I needed surgery on my right foot I only wanted Dr. Leland do the surgery. I am almost 2 weeks out from surgery and everything looks great. He listens and takes time to explain and answer questions. I look forward to pain free walks and traveling with my husband. Dr. Leland partners in my care and is willing to help me find the right answer for my problem. I really appreciate his open mind and that he truly hears my experience and does not discount any of that experience.

Great experience with the whole team. Dr Leland took the time to explain options and procedure. Took the time to call me after procedure and check up on me. Follow up visits have been very helpful.

Thank you Dr Leland for the quick assessment and solution to my foot fracture; and booted me allowing much easier walking.

Was having serious ankle issues with a big hiking trip upcoming. He got me in immediately and saw me again before I headed out. Only giving a 5 because a 10 is not an option.

Dr. Leland seems to have a good reputation as a surgeon, however in my experience his patient care is very poor and he had no interest in my overall health as his patient. He missed a fractured tibia when I went to see him for my ruptured achilles and as a result I still have pain today, over 6 years later. My appointments with Dr. Leland frequently lasted less than 5 minutes and he was only interested in something he could fix immediately and charge me for and get my out the door. I would strongly encourage anyone seeing Dr. Leland to get another opinion. Dr. Leland seems to have a good reputation as a surgeon, however in my experience his patient care is very poor and he had no interest in my overall health as his patient. Facility is clean and accessible. Staff helpful and engaged with assisting patients. I fractured an ankle that required surgery. I'm on the mend thanks to Dr Leland and his staff.

The first time I saw Dr. Leland, he botched my toe surgery and had to amputate the tip of my toe. Then I made the mistake of going back to him, and he did it again. He mutilated my right foot, having to amputate my second toe. He landed me in the hospital for nearly an entire month, with sepsis, and I nearly died.

Dr. Leland resolved two orthopedic problems areas for me in one visit! Very satisfied!

My intro to Dr. Leland was a phone call after I was informed by a different orthopedic office after a mis- diagnosis that I needed emergency hip surgery. Needless to say I was upset, worried and also concerned as I had never met Dr Leland before. When he called me that night before the surgery he had a way of making me feel better and that I was in good hands; which wasn’t an easy task at the time! In spite of my fears and state of mind when he arrived at the hospital the next morning to explain what was going to happen, he was confident and was able to put my mine at ease. Not only did Dr. Leland do a fantastic job with my surgery, he helped me get through a very difficult time. I Highly recommend Dr. Leland.

He's a great listener and answered all my many questions and made practical suggestions to facilitate my healing. He monitored my process carefully with in-person check ins and x-rays to confirm that my bones were healing. 90 days later, I'm thrilled to say that I'm continuing with almost all regular routines with full range of motion in my ankle. I broke my elbow skating and got surgery within a week thanks to these guys. It's been a month since and I've had full flexibility for weeks. The staples/plates they put in to re-attach the bone are minimal but very functional (the initial break is now hardly visible on X-ray). Altogether I highly highly recommend Dr. Leland and staff.

He's very professional and friendly at the same time.

As always, Dr. Leland took his time and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I didn’t feel rushed or hurried, and left the office with a clear understanding of what was going on with my foot, what to do about it, and what to expect. I was forced to find a new physician who discovered Dr. Leland had diagnosed me with a ruptured achilles and ignored that I had a fractured tibia for over 1 year.

Dr. Leland was rushed during my first diagnostic appointment. He told me the acute pain I was having was due to faulty reconstructions I had decades ago, and that I needed to have them completely redone. Thank god I got a second opinion - Dr. Leland completely missed a pretty obvious bone spur which was causing all of my pain. Performed an absolutely horrific surgery on my wife recently and he will be hearing from our lawyer!!! Huge botch job revealed after top orthopedic surgeons at Kaiser saw her xrays yesterday and they will now need to redo this huge mess Leyland created and urgently. We are DISGUSTED!!!!!

Rob is one of the most up front, honest and talented foot and ankle surgeons on the business.

Dr. Leland did an incredible job repairing an ankle fracture. The first doc I saw suggested fusing the bones, and he evaluated and decided he could repair the damage with hardware, and prevent the fusion. This resulted in much more mobility than I would have had with a fusion. He is a great doctor.

Best surgeon I have ever seen (and I've had over 10 surgeries in my life). After having surgery after surgery and seeing many doctors, I met with Dr. Leland and he actually took time to listen to me...like, actually LISTEN. to me. Dr. Leland gave me excellent care throughout my surgery and followup visits. I found him to be compassionate about my concerns and very open to answering questions about my condition and prognosis. I definitely give him a 5 star rating!

Dr. Leland is the BEST! He is so kind, and personable. I sincerely appreciate his care, concern, compassion, and dedication. His assistant, Kerri is so sweet, and so helpful. Dr. Leland is definitely a five star physician.

I asked numerous physicians throughout the Boulder area where I should go for my ongoing foot pain. EVERYONE said Dr. Leland. I quickly responded each time and asked if Dr. Leland would be the one to perform their surgery, assuming they needed it. Each one of them had the same response: "YES." I got several second opinions because some of the reviews on this site were questionable. Dr. Leland ended up correcting my severe flat foot. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THE RESULT! Dr. Leland seemed very competent on my first visit. He diagnosed my Lisfranc right away and sent me to get an MRI. When I returned after 2 months in a boot he misread my MRI and missed the Lisfranc that the next doctor saw immediately (to be fair the radiologist missed it as well). He wrenched my foot around so violently that I could not walk for three days after the appointment (I could always walk up to this point, just with pain). His bedside manner is HORRIBLE, arrogant and incompetent.

Beware this arrogant man. In 2012 I was seeking repair of a hammer toe. Dr Leland insisted on rebuilding my whole foot. After a year the foot had not healed, so, in 2013, he did the surgery again, with even more "hardware". Despite much time and expense spent on therapy, deep massage, etc. I have not regained normal use of my foot and still suffer pain in much of this extremity. I have sold my x-country skis. Obviously I do NOT recommend Dr. Leland. Note: If it ain't broke, don't let him fix it.

He is a perfectionist! He takes is work seriously and does good job. He has operated on my ankle twice, to fix my broken ankle and then to take my hardware out. I had positive experiences both times. I would highly recommend him.
