I wish I'd met Dr.Owens a long time ago! - I pretty much gave up on hearing years ago. I finally got tired of nodding and smiling when I could not understand my own dental patients. My family was tired of repeating every word. I couldn't listen to music. I was referred to Dr. Owens by a neighborhood ENT that didn't seem too enthusiatic about my condition. Dr. Owens repaired my "deafer" eardrum to restore some hearing before tackling the cholesteatoma in the other. Great results for both ears and hearing was restored much more quickly than I expected. So exciting! Thank you, Dr. Owens!!!

I went to several ENTs over the year and just got told my leaking ear with limited hearing was just going to be what it is was. I walked into Dr. Owens and in 5 minutes he not only had a plan but he explained to me what was going on in my ear and gave me a very thorough explination of expectations (good, bad, and ugly). The surgery went well, my pain was managed well, the office responds quickly, and when there was an after hours issues, Dr. Owens was on the phone with me at 9pm within 5 minutes. I now have a functional ear and my hearing is vastly improved. I can't say enough for Dr. Owens or his office. Although....I do miss laying down on my "good ear" (right side) with my "bad ear" (left side) up so that I can't hear my kids while I nap....oh well. I guess I'll have to learn to have two functional ears again. :)

My son has had difficulty with hearing since he was an infant. His hearing is almost completely normal now. Thank you Dr. Owens.

Dr. Owen promised everything he described to us about the procedure would be great and that's how it was. To go from not being able to hear to almost complete hearing is a wonderful feeling. We thank him for his work and never giving up, knowing that he knew what he was doing and it all came out beautiful. We thank Dr. Pham for referring us to Dr. Owen. Thank you!

Worst doctor you can ever visit. He isn’t helpful at all. I went because I had ringing in my ear and he told me there is nothing wrong with my ear and I will just have to live with it and there is nothing to be done about it. Don’t waste your time

Doctor Owens changed my life for the better 8 years ago with a Stapedectomy Revision surgery, which allowed me to recover my hearing after and earleir procedure by a different doctor degraded. I trusted Dr Owens Skill and advise completely! His care and that of his staff have been consistently excellent and helped me manage my Otosclorosis condition from my first appoinement. Dr Owens' skill and capability has changed my life, and allowed me to be fully participatory in the events of my family and career for almost a decade now! I can safely say he saved a big part of my life (my hering) , earning my trust and a lifetime of appreciation. Many thanks!

I am now 18 months out of my shunt surgery for Meniere's. Prior to surgery I was unable to even get out of bed by myself, but over the past 18 months I have hiked a 14,000 foor mountain, I have snow skied on blue & black runs, and I can still hear! Bottom line ... I can live the life that was mine before Meniere's nearly robbed me of everything I love. Dr. Owens knows what he is talking about. I only wish I had found him before I lost about 2 years of my life with the debilitating vertigo that Meneire's patients know much too well.

He got my hearing back from 65% hearing loss to 20% loss!! I'm thrilled!!

We have had several visits and a surgery with Dr. Owens. We have always felt super comfortable with him and his decisions regarding our 4 year old. Dr. Owens has a great bedside manner and super easy to talk to.

Dr. Owens did two surgeries approximately 9 years apart, both were wildly successful and resulted in a tremendous increase in my hearing.

Always a positive and knowledgeable conversation about my diagnosis and what to expect from the surgical procedure. Clearly explained the post op checkups and evaluations. I feel comfortable with my future hearing healthcare with Dr. Owens.

I got my 1st Cochlear years ago for my left ear. The experience of being able to hear in my left ear was exciting & well worth being cared for by Dr. Owens. He knows what he's doing. So much so, that I wanted only him to take care of my right ear right away. However, it was a little bit later & the same experience that I had with him from examination, through surgery, through actually getting the gift of hearing for my right ear was terrific. I would trust no one else for my Cochlears than Dr. Owens. A little about Dr. Owens: he's a bear of a man with the kindest heart & an understanding of what you're going through. He works with me to get the best optimal service from my Cochlear which I am forever thankful for! Many thanks Dr. Owens!

I have Meniere's and have had felt well taken care of. Accurate diagnosis, multiple treatments and finally surgery. The surgery has helped drastically!

Dr. Owens is not a caring person. Had an appt. and he spent about 3 minutes with me. Very rude when I tried to ask a question. Did not take my problems seriously,and rushed thru my appt. He may be a good doctor, but his attitude is terrible.Will not recommend him to anyone.

Dr Owens is the most obnoxious and nastiest doctor I have every met. I was in his exam room for less than two minutes during which time he managed to give me incorrect answers to my questions and gave me the bums' rush. He emanated vibes of hatred and hostility. I wonder if he should be practicing.

Dr Owens fits every stereotype of arrogant doctor with a God complex. He barely talked to me and just re-ordered all the tests I'd told him I'd already done, with no explanation. He decided at the very beginning that I had to have Meniere's disease, even though I had no symptoms of it other than vertigo, and when repeated tests and treatment showed no improvement and getting worse, he said 90% of his patients have Meniere's and he has no idea what to do otherwise. He wouldn't even listen to me when I asked if it could be related to my autoimmune disorder and lectured me like a misbehaving child for daring to question him. (Eventually I talked to my rheumatologist, who treated me for autoimmune vertigo and it went away almost immediately!) I would never see Dr Owens again or recommend anyone to him.

I love Dr Owens and all of his staff. He is the absolute best at what he does and extremely knowledgable. if you ever need a stapadectomy I HIGHLY recommend you use hin. You will not be disappointed. My hearing has been totally restored !!

I am so impressed with the service and treatment at Owens Ear Center. From my first appointment to my post-op follow up, the entire staff treated me like family. My hearing is almost completely restored and continues to get better and better. Thank you Dr. Owens!!

I came here after seeing my primary care doctor, three visits to an Urgent Care clinic, and a visit to an ENT. Nobody managed to figure out that I had a layer of wax pressed against my eardrum. I have been in pain for seven months with this. Dr. Owens figured it out, took care of it, made me laugh, and I am leaving here feeling better than I have in MONTHS. For any ear problem, go see this doctor!

My daughter has had many attempts to fix her ears and it has taken 4 tries on each ear and she now is getting her hearing back and her life! Dr. Owens and his staff are wonderfull and very caring for their patients.

Life changing difference!

Dr. Owens was able to successfully diagnose and restore substantial hearing loss in my right ear. Clear expectations were set on the surgical procedure and it was conducted with no issues. Even the post op appointments were a breeze. Highly recommended.

Two things historically have been big problems for me:Meniere's Disease and seasonal allergies. Our work with Owens Ear center has virtually eliminated both and our lives are significantly better.

I have personally been a patient of Owens Ear Center for many years. After having ear trouble for many years, i was recommended to Owens Ear Center by a friend in the medical field.I was treated for ear problems for about a year before I was convinced to have a minpr surgery to repair my ear, by Dr.Owens.Best decision i ever made was to trust Dr.Owens medical opinion, and then his expertise as a surgeon. My surgery was an excellent experience, and most of all, a success!

Due to an incident in highschool, I lost almost all hearing in my right ear. With surgery from Dr. Owens I was able to regain almost all hearing I had lost!

Dr. Owens helped repair a hole in my son's ear. Did an amazing job and took the time to understand the special needs of my son and worked with him. Very informative which helped my son know what to anticipate at each step. I would absolutely recomend Dr. Owens and look forward to any future care we may need.

Dr. Robert Owens reconstructed my hearing bones in my left ear, effectively increasing my hearing after I had a tympanoplasty with mastoidectomy to remove a significant cholesteatoma from each of my ears. It was a surgery I had been denied by insurance years prior. Not only did Dr. Owens fight for me, he offered to reconstruct the right ear as well and was also able to restore hearing in that ear after I had been told it was impossible. He is a good man and has treated me and my son with care using the least invasive, most cost effective approaches without sacrificing effectiveness for 8+ years now. I am grateful for his genuine compassion, love of a challenge, and positive outlook.

Dr. Owens is extremely knowledgeable in his practice and was very personal. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. From the first visit to the last, Dr. Owens provided a very comforting and supporting energy.

Dr. Owens helped me overcome an ear issue I had been dealing with for months. He always takes the time to explain what's going on and apologizes for any discomfort that might be experienced during the visit.

I have been seeing Dr Owens for about 8 Years. He Diagnost my problems one of the first visits. He was very aggresive in getting my hearing problems resolved. He did several surgeries on me one of them being a cochlear implant.He has always been strait forward but very nice. I have nothing but good things to say about his office personal and the staff in the back. To sum it all up he is a great Dr. and surrounded by great people.I firmly believe if it was not for Dr Owens I would not be able to hear today! Thanks Dr Owens, Rick Hoover

My experience with Dr. Owens is a very positive and overwhelming grateful one! After going to about 10 doctors who could not diagnose me. I was dizzy, nauseous and could not walk without my husband's assistance and feeling very discouraged. My husband and I walked into Dr. Owen's office and he took one look at me & knew immediately what was going on with me and immediately gave me the surgery I needed to be able to walk again without being nauseous and dizzy. Dr. Owens and his staff took real good care of me throughout the healing process! We Praise God for Dr. Owens and his Staff! May God Bless him and his staff! We ABSOLUTELY TRUST Dr. Owens and his care for me!

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Owens since she was a baby. It has been 18 years. When she was a baby she used to get cholesteatoma in her eardrum and the ear canal of her right ear. She has at least 3 surgeries to get them removed. We have had a great experience with the surgeries and the followup exams. She has been cured of these cholesteatomas, and her hearing is great now.

I couldn't be more pleased with the care I have received from Dr. Owens and his office. Long standing ear problems have meant I have seen multiple ear specialists. I can say without hesitation - Dr. Robert Owens is the best.

I had been deaf in my right ear for several years when I was referred to Dr. Owens. After a hearing test and a brief examination, he recommended middle ear surgery. It worked! Dr. Owens is pleasant, explains things in clear language and is diligent in following up. The procedure (at the Addison Methodist surgery center) went off without a hitch;well other than a little post-op dizziness.

Excellent bedside manner, intelligence and feedback to my questions. Proactive, straight forward solutions for my hearing problems.

I saw Dr. Owens because of my Meniere's disease. It was so bad that I couldn't drive, and was falling all the time. I had surgery for an endolymphatic shunt, and my life is changed!! Dr Owens gave me my life back, and I am forever grateful. He is a man of few words, but that didn't bother me! My main concern was getting better, and that's what he did! If you need to see someone about your ear, he is THE ONE!!

He gets a begrudged one star because he is smart enough to surround himself with a great staff. They were attentive, nice and very professional while being extremely helpful and friendly. The doctor on the other hand was brief, and even though his bio and website say he “treats” tinnitus- his answer for me was no Treatment! He basically told me everyone around my age develops it and it is normal just have faith that it would go away. Oh, he did mention trying ginkgo, after giving me his resume when I challenged his”it’s normal” no treatment option diagnosis. Don’t waste your time and money on this guy if you have tinnitus without hearing loss- he won’t help you. The ENT I saw previously in Southlake was a heck of a lot more caring and helpful. I only saw Dr Owens due to a family referral.

I have had problems for so long with my left ear, and I figured that I would have just as many problems trying to get it fixed. I was surprised when it was such easy and quick process. I really appreciate the care I received.
