Dr. Ronald Maynard Mann

Office staff is the absolute worst. Unkind, belligerent, and cruel. Mismanages schedules and then blames the patient for their ineptitude in keeping appointments. Dr. Mann's wife runs the show and she is not only vindictive, but orchestrates the staff to switch appointments to different less qualified practitioners, so you don't even get to see Dr. Mann --- all this while waiting several months to see him. I had a form of skin cancer, so this is not something to be taken lightly. If you enjoy being blamed for the incompetence of others and treated like a burden, then maybe this is the place for you. This office needs some serious reform and training in basic compassion.

Dr Mann is cordial, competent and just a delight to be under his care. All his staff has always been helpful and pleasant.

I saw Dr Mann for my first visit to him today! I've seen many dermatologists and he was one of the top ones. He is thorough and very competent. I felt like I was in excellenthands!

I like Dr. Mann a lot. He has great bedside manner, is highly knowledgeable and intelligent. I feel very comfortable that when he has done a skin scan or a special need item, that I have worked with one of the best Dermatologists in the business.

Absolutely *horrible* scheduling and customer service at the front desk. The receptionist and scheduling clerk (in the back) were outrageously rude and give new meaning to the term "snotty." Having a history of melanoma, I had been seeing Dr. Mann since approximately 2010. Over the past couple of years, I have been constantly rescheduled, bumped around, and swindled into seeing the Physician's Assistant instead of Dr. Mann. While in the office, they then blamed me (AGAIN) for their ineptitude in scheduling incorrectly stating that I was a no show. Prior to all of this nonsense, Dr. Mann himself asked the scheduling team to "wipe the slate clean" in regards to so-called "missed appointments" (which were more so the fault of the inept schedulers) so I could get back in to see him more frequently and not have to see the Physician's Assistant. I lost a day's worth of pay due to the scheduling team's incompetence, only to have them lie to my face that it was my fault and not their antiquated system. The outrageously snotty clerk went so far as to say that Dr. Mann is no longer my dermatologist without even having the fair opportunity to see him on my long awaited scheduled appointment. Dr. Mann was unaware of this nonsense going on in his office, but I hope he gets an opportunity to read this (along with the many other similar reviews on other forums) so he can make some much needed changes with his terrible staff. No disrespect to Dr. Mann who is actually a very compassionate and highly competent doctor. But, his staff should be reprimanded for their utter lack of competence, decency, and customer service. I would NOT recommend anyone coming to this office unless you want to be treated horribly and with complete disdain.

He reviewed the Mohs process with me several times, but he did not follow this procedure during surgery. He had no plan for repair of the surgical site. Beware.

Awesome Dermatologist! He catches everything, and even when I've just taken my dad there, he'll see something and say, let's get you back in and we'll take a closer look at that. He's caught and done so much more for my dad than the VA's Dermatology dept ever did!! Highly recommend!!!

Dr. Mann is an outstanding doctor! He is always very personable and takes time with you if needed. I have had numerous procedures done by him and he always does a fabulous job. His staff are all very nice and helpful. I recommend him to everyone who needs a dermatologist!

Dr Mann is young at heart but with old fationed senibilities. The staff is excellent and very particular about sterile procedures. Dr Mann demands excellence and achieves it from both his staff and himself.

This gentleman is one of the true Dr.'s who care about their patients. Knowledge and skill as well as compassion make him a true winner for Tucson. Highly skilled.

I had the most frustrating time using Dr. Mann's office with lack of attention to detail, abruptness during appointments that left me without enough time to ask questions, and ineptitude in general with regard to the requirements of using the prescription Accutane. Although I jumped through all the hoops required by the national registry, Dr. Mann and his office did not. They failed over and over to relay necessary information either to me as a patient or to the national registry program so that I was not able to properly complete the protocol despite my repeated attempts to leave messages requesting that they do the "doctor's part" or answer my questions in a timely manner. I think he is competent as a dermatologist but his lack of organization and inherent motivation to do the best for his patient means that I would NEVER recommend him.
