Oh my goodness! Where do I start? From the moment I was in contact with James over the phone to my first appointment in the office everyone was so friendly and kind. Carmen is the first person you will see when you check in and she is the sweetest. She didn’t just check me in and move on, she made an effort to talk to me and made me feel welcome. Rebecca called me back and was so bubbly and friendly. It was like talking to a friend. Meeting Dr. Lauer was wonderful. He is not the type of doctor that tries to get you in and out and move onto the next patient quickly. He took the time to get to know me and listen to what I had to say. I met with James in his office after to go over scheduling appointments and he was absolutely wonderful. He worked with me and we found dates and times that worked for everyone. I have never felt so good and “heard” after visiting a doctors office. I was blown away by the way I was treated. I am so happy to have found this office. Everyone I met and came in contact with was amazing. If you’re looking for a new doctor I cannot recommend Dr. Lauer and his staff enough.

Came to Dr. Lauer from a referral with Surgery plus. Office staff and Dr. Lauer are great. Never felt rushed and always felt heard. Great job guys!

I would recommend exploring other options and doing some thorough research. Medically he’s great..surgery went well..everything was a success on that side..although a little misleading with how the scarring and healing would be..and he would also prefer to “just staple you shut as opposed to plastic surgery closures” (direct quote)..but his professionalism and bedside manner leave a lot to be desired. Made sure to continuously..constantly remind us that although we had the surgery, we’d never conceive naturally..but not in a helpful, medical way..more in a “this is your fault, and you have ‘bad genes’ ”(another direct quote) kind of way. Made sure to tell us that our mothers had us very young in the “backseat of a car” (direct quote) therefore they weren’t affected by fibroids. So physically my wife is fine, but he made it his personal mission to make her feel very very small after the operation. He does not have the soft touch of a person who just cut you open and had their hands inside your body. Post-op seemed more like “let’s get this over with” than actual concern for the healing. Forever grateful for the surgery, but wouldn’t so much as have lunch with this guy. If I never saw him again it would be too soon. Dr. Lauer is honest, sensitive and realistic. I’ve been going to him for 2 years now. He always listens to my concerns and as an ICU nurse, I question everything. His clinical judgement exceeds expectations.

Dr.Lauer and staff has always treated me with respect. Dr. Lauer removed my IUD that was place incorrectly by another physician. Dr. Lauer went over the procedure with me. Explaining what he was going to do every step of the way. He made me feel at ease for the entire process. I would not recommend Dr. Lauer to anyone. He doesn’t listen to his patients and calls them liars. He told me and my Father on separation occasions that we lied about the info he told us and told me any issues that came from the surgery was my fault. Part of my incision is infected, my fault apparently, and he wouldn’t listen to what I needed so I can go back to work and function normally. I’m deeply upset him and his office don’t care to listen to the patient when we are in dire need and just brush me off. I will be reporting it to the program I used him through also, Surgery Plus. Dr Lauer did my surgery last week. I'm recovering quickly. Dr Lauer is very knowledgeable and takes time to answer all of my questions. His staff is very friendly and helpful. I'm very happy with my surgery.

New Patient appointment went better then any other Doctors appointment ive ever had. Dr Lauer was open and friendly while being still being transparent. No long wait time, staff was even vibrant and nice. Differently my new OBGYN!

Such a professional. Worked continuously to help my wife get pregnant. When we lost a pregnancy after 10 weeks, he cried with us. His staff prayed with us. Eights years later I’m smiling at the handsome son God has given us through the the use of Dr. Lauer as his vessel.

I have been reading some of these reviews and I have never experienced any of these bad things. His staff is the friendliest I know and they’re always attentive to each patient’s needs. Absolutely amazing physician/surgeon! We have traveled 4 hours each way with each pregnancy just to have Dr. Lauer deliver our children. As the mother of 5 children that he delivered, I would do it all over again! We still make the trip to do annual check ups.

Dr. Lauer is an amazing Dr. I really appreciate the time he gives to answer questions. I never feel rushed and it seems like he really cares about me as a patient. I have been going to Dr. Lauer for about 13 years and he handles all my medical needs from GYN to Thyroid. So grateful to have a Dr who truly cares.

Dr. Lauer performed my hysterectomy last June. I had minimal to no pain and actually wanted to go back to work within a few days. He is a great Doctor who takes the time to listen.

Dr. Lauer is an amazing physician! In 2014, I had an ovarian cyst that was found on ultrasound at another clinic. I was told to wait six months to repeat the ultrasound. Through poor management and patient guidance, I was given the wrong instructions. I should have repeat the ultrasound in six weeks not six months! The second report read, " can not rule out carcinoma". I was 38 with a 5 year old and scared to death I had ovarian cancer. Thankfully, I found Dr. Lauer! He was able to calm me down and did a complete evaluation. He removed the ovary and diagnosed me with endometriosis. When it return two years later, he did a complete hysterectomy. He helped me find the right hormone therapy and has managed my care ever since. If you need a great surgeon and want a genuine doctor, I urge you to schedule an appointment. Dr. Layer has been tremendous in helping with my blood work, cholesterol, T-count and numerous other medical items. He was absolutely wonderful in treating my wife years ago and she convinced me to let him do my blood work (yes, a little “odd” having an OBGYN for a Doc when your a male) but Dr. Lauer truly cares about all of his patients. He wants to treat them with not only the utmost respect/professionalism but he genuinely cares about their health! Something a lot of doctors have forgotten about these days with all the insurance/political stuff they have to deal with. Dr. Lauer has been my doctor since 2011 and he has always treated me as a valued human being and not just a body with issues. He is patient and detailed with his answers and I have never had any issues with his medical decisions. His staff is also very courteous. I would recommended and have recommended his services to others.

Referred to Dr. Lauer by my insurance in 2016 for bladder incontinence. He recommended I apply for the Coloplast Restorelle Transvaginal Mesh research study which would receive a small payment for which I did and was a approved. I agreed to have the surgery and participate in the study but never saw any improvement from the surgery nor any payment as being part of the study. Their business manager was also very disorganized and I never could seem to get a statement of my account. My issue has gotten significantly worse and I have since learned the FDA has banned the sale of the product but never received any communication from Dr. Lauer or Coloplast regarding such.

Dr Lauer performed a bladder lift and removed two ovaries from a partial hysterectomy I had from a different doctor over a decade ago on 12/29/2019. At first I was hesitant because no one likes to pick a doctor based on their HMO, but after meeting him and his staff, I decided to move forward with the procedure and not scout out other doctors. Dr Lauer and I both knew that my lift may be difficult because of an existing spinal fusion in my lumbar and sacral areas. And sure enough, what should have been an hour and a half surgery turned out to be nearly six hours because Dr Lauer was ALL ABOUT doing it the right way. He made long term decisions on my health to ensure a safe and lasting procedure was done. He paused the surgery in progress at one point, to track down my spinal fusion surgeon and consult about the scar tissue and how to best anchor the bladder lift to not cause damage or interfere with the spinal fusion surgery. Dr Lauer is a stand up guy that thinks long term care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lauer's since 2011. He is fast and thorough and takes the time to answer any questions you may have. I have recommended him to other friends as well and they have had positive experiences as well.

Back about 20 yrs. ago when he had an office next to N. Hills Hosp. in N Richland Hills I went to his office with unusual discharge and bleeding. I informed him that my mother had uterine cancer in her 50's. He said that's what I had too. So we go in for a biopsy and instead of cancer he found a large mass. Of course I was relieved beyond measure but furious that he had diagnosed me and made me and my family worry for nothing. I changed to another/better ob/gyn and told her what happened with him. She tried to get my records numerous times to find out exactly what the mass was that they found and his office would not send them over. There wasn't any place to relay my experience back then. I have been a patient of Dr Lauers for a little over 17 years. He's always been professional, on time, and I've received exceptional over all health care. I'll be his patient till he retires(better not) .....lol

I have been with Dr. Lauer since 2007, and he has delivered both my children. I have never trusted a doctor more, and his staff is amazing!

Scott was a great doctor for us...until we got insurance. That is all I can say.

He spent a good amount of time actually asking me my concerns so he could understand my worries. Then find solutions that were best suited for me. Unusual for a Dr to give you 30-45 min of time to actually listen & then explain, then meet for follow up.

Awesome Doctor and staff! Very caring and compassionate! I was amazed at the time he spent discussing my care and the plan. This Doctor is also very proactive in preventative care and treatment. I would highly recommend him!

My wife has been to see Dr Lauer multiple times; he always invests a great deal of time discussing items in layman's terms to make sure she feels informed and I know she appreciate it. Both she and I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Lauer.

I have seen Dr Lauer twice. He has a fun sense of humor. Matches my own. He spends time and he listens. His staff compliment him. Being an older patient I thought would be uncomfortable. Not at all. Karen Baxter

Dr Lauer is the best! He takes the time to return calls personally, his staff works hard on the patient's behalf -- especially for complicated insurance issues, and takes the time to explain, answer questions, discuss options, and very easy to talk too! He has brought me through a cancer scare, vaginal hysterectomy, bladder repair and pelvic wall reconstruction in the past 2 years. I would recommend him before other uro-gyns. He doesn't do unneeded tests or medications either.

Today, I was scheduled for surgery. I had not eaten nor taken any of my medication since midnight the night before. It took an hour to give blood and get an IV. This doctor canceled my entire surgery after 12 P.M the next day due to a late PTT test that would only be an hour late. Instead of this doctor informing me that the procedure wouldn't take place. I was told by the hospital staff. I called the Dr. Staff and Dee Dee hang up on me twice as well as the Director of Surgery over the hospital. I have yet to see my doctor nor get a phone call explaining this situation. I was left on the operating table with IV IN MY HAND. DO NOT SEE THIS PHYSICIAN. Today, I was scheduled for surgery. I can only assume that his Groupons are a great success as I am consistently unable to get an appointment according the front desk. A woman wanting a 20 minute Botox appointment, does not want to wait a month or two. Pretty Defeating.

I would like to inform those out there who are looking for doctor to please steer clear of Dr. Lauer. Not only is he and his staff highly unprofessional but he seems to have a God complex. I started seeing Dr. Lauer in June of 2012 and thought that he was the answer to my prayers. I had been seeing another doctor who had not completely diagnosed me correctly and had mistreated me for four solid years. Dr. Lauer at first enlightened me on some things but since the new year that I have been back, that good bedside manner and all professionalism flew completely out of the window. His staff doesn't call me back with any information and when I called in to ask questions, I was repeatedly put on hold without being told and then hung up on. I asked for a copy of some labs and they refused me. I seriously wish I could involve the police in matters like this. I've unfortunately had to see a lot of doctors since the birth of my child and have truly never been treated so grossly. I will be gladly finding another doctor and good riddance to him and his cocky, pretentious attitude. I have to say out of all the doctors I've seen Dr. Lauer is by far the best one I've ever been to!! He's very personable and takes the time to get to know you and make you feel comfortable. He remembers me every time I go in, which every doctor I've had in the past didn't and to me personally that is a priority to me. I don't want to feel like I'm just a lab rat or just another patient to you that you have to deal with because its your job.
