Get a second opinion. Dr. Ballantine-Talmadge's office messed up my insurance and after 4 appointments told me they actually didn't cover me for all the appointments, like they had previously said they did. It took me 4 additional months of fighting with them and getting the full run around from their office to get them to close out the bill and wave the fees. Dr. B-T said she would personally help me fight this and I never heard from her again. I couldn't even reach her when I emailed her or called - someone else always responded. If that wasn't enough, I got a 4 more opinions after seeing her and her translation of my imaging was different than all the other doctors, who all reached same conclusion on my imagining. She also missed a HUGE issue, that, if she treated me aggressively like she had wanted to, I could have gotten worse based off of what she missed. I had a very bad experience with this Dr and the CU Sports Medicine office. I recommend finding another specialist.

I now have a much better health team who is helping me improve with much more patience and kindness. I had a very bad experience with this Dr and the CU Sports Medicine office. I have never had an experience like this and it was overwhelmingly terrible... the effects and stress of it lasted for months. I recommend finding another specialist and office alltogether. If you really want to go see this Dr, I recommend getting a second and third opinion.

Dr. Ballantine is a kind, caring physician that can put the patient at ease with her gentle demeanor. She actively listens to your comments and encourages the patient to participate in their own care.

She really listens, thinks ahead and gets you back to where you want to be. She is intelligent and caring.

Dr. Ballantine, has been a true life saver when it comes to treating my EDS and everything that comes along with it. After every visit to her office I feel like I am getting closer and closer to becoming a more healthy and full being. I am very grateful to have her as part of my treatment team.

Fast, accurate, and incredibly good at her job. She understands the need to return to training and helps ease the return. I fell and knocked my SI joint out of line, and she had me back training the day after my appointment! I went from lots of pain to zero in less than 24 hours.
