I dealt with heavy menstrual bleeding for years and was miserable. After finally seeing Dr. McCarus, it was discovered I had multiple uterine fibroids and adhesions to my bladder & uterus. I dealt with heavy menstrual bleeding for years and was miserable. After finally seeing Dr. McCarus, it was discovered that I had multiple uterine fibroids and adhesions to my bladder & uterus. I can't say enough about Dr. McCarus' caring nature and level of professionalism. I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy, and I was up and moving in a week. Horrible dr. He’s like a factory for hysterectomies. When he learned I was seeking specialized excision from another surgeon he refused to continue to be my dr, fired me as a patient. Which is a good thing since he was going to perform an unnecessary bowel resection. He is not a skilled enough surgeon and he takes huge pay from pharmaceutical companies. Horrible dr. This doctor may good for standard endometriosis surgery but anything complex he is not the surgeon for it.I would have rather him be honest and up front that my case was too complex for his surgical “expertise” if that’s what you call it. He is more of a glorified salesman than an actual surgeon. He is all for the money and does not actually care about you the person (although he puts a fake smile and give false reassurance). It took me years to finally write this review but he made me worse than better. My biggest regret was letting him fool me that he actually understood endometriosis, which is sad because women who suffer from endometriosis already go through years of gaslight and misdiagnosis and not to mention botched up surgeries from surgeons such as Dr McCarruse who claim he is a endometriosis specialist. I am now seeing another surgeon for surgery number 3 and I pray she can fix the damage that he did.

I've never been more confident in a caregiver; his expertise, knowledge, and experience would have been enough for me to choose him as my surgeon. On top of all that, he's kind, funny, patient, and was sensitive to my worries and feelings, never making me feel that any question was a dumb one. I can't recommend him enough. When the gynecologist told me in my biopsy results that they had gone wrong that I had to have surgery, I was scared, the surgeon who was going to perform it, I did not feel safe with, so I began to look for another opinion and thank God I got to the hands of Dr Maccarus, from the first visit he gave me peace and security and by clearly explaining how he and his wife would perform the operation, all fear was gone I felt safe and the day of the surgery everything went perfect, what I want to say is that if you have to go through gynecological surgery do not hesitate to look for Dr. Maccarus he is the best with a high experience and who treats his patients excellently well, he is very kind and cares about his patient after surgery. Dr. McCarus and his wife were amazing with my mom, she had a prolapsed uterus and other extensive damage. She just had surgery Tuesday april 23rd 2019, he was so kind and caring with her and explained thoroughly what all he was going to do. Thank you both for taking such great care of my momma.

Dr. Mccarus is an absolute amazing kind professional caring human being. his wife is the same they are two amazing people if you ever have to have surgery they are a excellent team you will be in amazing hands. he has a great bedside manner he is genuinely caring and kind his entire staff are amazing. he's the kind of doctor that calls you himself to check on you. I cannot stress how amazing he is if you want a good doctor he was voted one of orlando's best and that's for a reason if you need surgery go see him!

I met Dr.McCarus 2 weeks ago because I need to have a hysterectomy for CIN 3...Dr.McCarus was so sweet and funny. He listened to all of my complaints and took the time to explain everything from what my condition is and how the whole surgery process is gonna go. I was suppose to have surgery Tuesday but then we had Irma. Dr.McCarus called me his self to let me know that he would have to reschedule. I don't know of ANY doctors who will call patients themselves instead of having his staff call. Made me feel like I mattered. I'm schedule to have my surgery tomorrow with him and have no worries that he won't do an amazing job. Its so hard for me to like or even trust doctors and he made it so easy to do. In the past 5 years of being a patient of Dr. McCarus's, I have yet to have a complaint. He listened when no one else was willing. He is over an hour away and well worth the drive. He and his wife make an incredible team and I cannot thank them enough. I liked in pain for almost 14 years before I met them. Over the course of the past 5 years, they have operated on me 3 separate times, with amazing results. I am blessed to have a team like yours on my side. Dr Mccarus was a wonderful surgeon. I have been seeing gynocologists for he for lower abdomen pain and pain after sex. Everyone else did not bother with my concerns just sent me home with Tylenol and antibacterial meds. He was the first person to listen to me. He got me into surgery quickly and found endodometrious. Thanks to him we caught it very early and was able to treat it. Be warned though the staff are very ignorant. They screwed up sending my meds 2 times

anyone that is having abnormal issue go see him. I was treated with the utmost respect and care and I wish I could go on every site to leave this dr 5 stars

Great! Staff awesome Tamar always answe all my questions and great at scheduling. Amy the des nurse is awesome about getting back at you. I have to say living her in Florida for 6!years this is the first time I felt such easy at the gyn and Dr. McCarus one of most caring Drs I have met. Would highly ,highly ,recommend them!

He has been the only Doctor I never had any problem's with staff and The doctor himself (AND HIS PA IS GREAT TO SHE WILL SIT WITH YOU JUST AS LONG AS THE DOCTOR WILL)they all listen's to you and never try to push you away if there have a lot of other patients ,Everyone in both office understand there job and how to make you feel comfortable and never Disrespectful you. Dr. McCarus specializes in tricky surgeries no one else in the Orlando-area attempts, (successfully in my case--and this review is 2.5 years post-op). everyone at this location is super nice and friendly. For us women that get our yearly checks, they are gentle. I recommend this office and their celebration office to any woman I know, because these are the people you want to go to.

In eight years of going to see Dr. Mccarus and Nurse Practitioner Judy, it has been an absolutely wonderful experience with every single staff member, every single time. Dr. Steven McCarus is the best doctor/surgeon that I have ever been to or heard of!!! In August/September of 2002, I began experiencing numerous female problems. My doctor, Dr. Brenda Barry, referred me to Dr. McCarus. In March 2003, he performed my surgery. I had very little to no post-op pain. He completely solved all of my problems! I have since referred several women to him and all of them are also extremely happy with their results. Dr McCarus and his staff are great. Very nice environment to go to. I went too see Dr McCarus about a birth control that was wreaking havoc on my body and he took great care of me. The best doctor I have ever been to.

Dr. McCarus removed an ovarian cyst on right ovary last year. He said it was a tough procedure, but in the end he was able to save my ovary. I was very nervous going in and he did a great job making me feel comfortable and made sure the scaring was very minimal. I would highly recommend him and his team!

The entire staff was fantastic! They were kind, patient, and listened to my needs and concerns.

One word - awesome. He cured my daughter when no one else would try. And 10 years later he still went out of his way to help her.
